[Completed] [Q] Moto X (XT1058) Custom ROM - XDA Assist

I unlocked my bootloader and rooted my phone with ADBfastboot +twrp. I installed cyanogem 11. Unfortunately, theres are a lot of glitches on it, regarding to Whatsapp. So, can i go back to my stock rom without losing root?

Hi,
Yes, you can go back to stock . But yes, you'll lose root. You can root again just as easily as the first time tho. No different.
One warning, do not flash a firmware version lower than you're on now. It almost always will brick your device on a Moto X. Maybe permanently. So whatever Android version you were on before CM... You must flash that version, or even higher. But don't downgrade.
Here's a guide, look for the returning to stock section,
> Moto X > Moto X General > [REF]The Complete Moto X Guides/Information Thread
You can ask questions in that thread also. And any future questions go in the X Q&A section, Here...
> Moto X > Moto X Q&A
Good luck!

Thank you. Thread closed.

[Completed] [Q] Moto X won't turn on wifi

I just flashed the stock firmware for 4.4.4 on my device. Now, whenever I tap the WiFi switch, it returns to "off" and doesen't turn on. Even during the innitial set-up there were no networks visible.
How can I fix this?
Hi,
Are you positive you installed the firmware for your exact model number and carrier?
You can ask this, and any future questions about your device here, in your devices Q&A section,
> Moto X > Moto X Q&A
Good luck!

I'm sure. Upon further research, I realized that my perssist folder is empty, and there should be a file there in order for this to work. The thing is, since I am in stock I do not have root access to modify the persist folder. And when I try to flash TWRP, I boot into recovery and it boots normally, instead of entering TWRP.

[Completed] [Q] I Need Help in updating my HTC One m8

Hello,
This is my first time using XDA developers, or any type of forum to be honest, so please do tolerate my very bad knowledge of the terminology and concepts behind almost everything I've seen on the forum so far. Also, don't roast me if this in the wrong section, I'm a major noob :silly::silly:
B, Anyways,
I have an HTC One M8 32 GB from Verizon that is GSM unlocked and unrooted. The phone is running android 4.4.2, so I went to the settings to try and do a software update, but that option is greyed out and says "Update only works in CDMA mode". And then I found this link, not sure if it helps, but can anyone help me as to how I can update my phone? Thanks "

Better to check this thread: [10-22][firmware][all stock img]all files have updated t0 4.4.4.
It also contains a video guide for how to update.
For general video tutorials check this: [HOW To Videos]Basic (HTC M8) set up and functions.
And if you have further questions, please ask either in the Verizon One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q&A] [ALL FILES HAVE UPDATED T0 4.4.4 [firmware][10-22][boot.img][ recovery][STOCK thread, or in the Verizon One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.

Thanks for your help, however I just have two questions.
The first one is do I need to have rooted phone in order to run an RUU?
Also, the thread you posted seems to be for stock android, which does not include the HTC Sense UI that is included in the RUU of the thread I posted?

AFAIK root is not needed. But IDK about SenseUI.
Please ask in the Q&A thread or forum I linked in my previous answer.
Thanks for your understanding. Thread closed.

[Completed] [Q] Installing custom rom of Htc one x to Htc one x plus

can i install custom rom of Htc one x to Htc one x plus
No you can't, even though they look similar they're entirely different phones. Never, ever, flash a ROM that isn't intended specifically for the device you have.
Here's your device section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-x2
Bookmark that and subscribe to it, make sure you only use ROMs/kernels/radios etc from that section on your HTC One X+. Within that device section you'll find a q&a section where you can post any future questions you may have.
Good luck!

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble. It might be helpful to ask wherever you found your custom ROM, but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Motorola Moto X (2013) at http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you.
Good luck!
