android vpnservice configure username and password .
My VPN Server requires me to pass a username and password to it in order to establish a connection. Any idea on how I would do that?

Hi.
I want to use Active sync on WM5 AKU2.0 with client certificates and local stored username, password and domain on our devices.
I have until now not been able to do this.
When using client certificates for device authentication and local credentials, synchronisation only works until first reboot of the device.
When trying to sync after first reboot, active sync tells me that client certificates are used for authentication instead of username and password.
Does anyone knows about a fix or setting that forces the devices to use username and password for authentication even when client certificates are used for device authentication ?
Thanks
Best regards

Well i guess ppl are aware of google's blunder(blogs say so) ..apparently all authentication tokens are unencrypted ..
I want to setup a SSH tunnel ..and have a account on freeshell.org ..
Using SSH tunnel on froyo and giving the correct username and password..The application says "connected" but my browsing is dead and nothing works well apart from ping (UDP queries) ....
The netstat shows no active connection to the freeshell.org i looked up all possible address using whois queries andnone of the addresses corresponded to "freeshell.org"
How do i get a free VPN account ??? if it is even possible
HOW do i get a free ssh server for tunneling ???please list free servers
It there a SSH arm port ??? or m i stuck with ssh tunnel
OR
will TOR's android port ORBOT do the same and address the security issue ???
We use an IPSEC VPN at work, through Nortel Contivity Extranet Client, now know as Avaya VPN Client.
The authentication uses a Group ID and Group Password, as well as an username, password and a response only RSA token.
Are there any Android VPN clients that I can use on my phone to connect to the VPN?
Bump, anyone able to help me out?
Hey guys,
I fail at what seems to be a no brainer. I want to connect to the work VPN but I know only the iOS settings (colleague has it running). I have a username, password is generated by RSA token, group name, shared secret, server and a proxy. In iOS it works by creating a Cisco ipsec VPN, in android I tried the available VPN options but none worked. Android VPN just says connecting and then disconnected. Vpncilla instantly tells me id or password wrong, but the id is correct and the password created by the token, so it should be also correct. I found no place where I can set the proxy to automatic and enter a proxy server, is this the problem?
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, Thank for using XDA assist
There is a general forum for android here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can try to ask to get expert's help.
Good luck.
Hi,
is there some app that would let me fill proxy url (with authentication) and then run traffic through that proxy? Or at least some add—on to some browser, something like switchy omega is for desktop chrome.
I have found https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.assets.androidproxy but this doesn't support authentication.
I know there should be some solutions for rooted phone, do I need to get root access for this to work?
I also know that I can setup proxy for the access point, but that means always fill username and password by hand.
Thanks
