Thanks for creating this thread, keeps the spam threads out by cleaning the dust

I'm glad this was addressed. MXPlayer is probably my most used app on the phone and I don't want to upgrade before knowing whether the player will work or not.

Good idea @ktsamy, hopefully this will be sufficient to pre-empt the chaos that happened last year with the KitKat upgrades, and lessen the amount of spam that bleu gets.

In the latest SDK (if you've downloaded all the available parts via the SDK Manager), there is a large amount of sources under sources/android-21/android, including a boatload of classes that are not public interfaces and only for internal use. In the unlikely event the MX Player authors have not taken a look there yet, then please do, and see if what you need is there.

Chainfire, thank you for the excellent tip!
@bleu8888, you should definitely take a look at this. Those internal use classes sound very relevant to you.

Any progress on this?
No I'm not asking for a eta and forgive me if it sounds like this
The thing is when you don't have it you know the value it holds.

Great... will try it and give feedback. Thanks
Edit: installed... on opening it still gives the error - Unsupported Android Version.
I am using rooted Android L Preview LPX13D with custom kernel (Flar2's ElementalX with Selinux permissive and PIE patcher installed).

Doesn't work, but have you linked the wrong download? The version number shows September

Kernel Manager
Kernel Manager is a simple App which downloads kernels for your device!
Downloaded kernels can easily installed with the app (through a custom recovery).
You can backup and restore kernels as well
Nothing more to say.
If your device is not supported ask your kernel dev to add support for the app

As there is only the stock kernel for the Sony ROMs and only one custom kernel for custom ROMs (other than those in their respective ROM) there is little need for ZU support

I say again:
ASK YOUR KERNEL DEVELOPER!
Nice app you've done there.
Gonna add the Xperia Z2 and my Custom Kernel if it is ok
Altough, do you think it is possible to add a selfupdating part there so that if I update my kernel you don't need to update the app again ? Cause else I think once there are more devs using this app it will be a update mess.
Edit: Never mind, I did not saw that the file gets called from my sources so I need to update it.
Oh and as I want to keep track of everything: Maybe a download counter ?
EDIT2: https://github.com/Grarak/KernelManager/pull/2 All right there we go.
please if it is possible to add the jflte device I9505 I337M I9500 thanks

Ignorance at it's highest. Read the damned OP !
By checking the wiki link you would see that only 4 devices are supported ATM. Which are neither the OPO nor the i9300.

Well I have my files on androidfilehost and basketbuild looks to be kinda the same. The problem about this is that I think you can't add direct links to the files so your app would struggle. (At least It's like this on androidfilehost, Correct me if I'm wrong about basketbuild)

This app is nice and all but to few devices are supported. When I tried it it said my NOTE 2 (t0ltespr) is not supported. I look forward to being able to use it as I am sure many more are when and if many more devices get supported by it. The idea is a great one though.
I reuploaded Kernel Manager in Play Store because I lost the signing key....
new link is in the OP
it might take a few hours until the new one is up
please uninstall the old one!
Hi. I don't have a "kernel developer". I'm just an average user who wants an overclock able kernel for his SGH-M819N (Samsung Galaxy Mega on MetroPCS). I read the Tutorial for this app, but I have no idea about "editing JSONS", but I have rooted and replaced kernels many times. But how else can I get support for my device added? Looking all around, I can't find any kernels. Not even ones I can install thru "manual" means. What should I do?

( Feature Request ) Moving Videos

Hello Guys !!!!
I am an avid media consumer and like all of you I too love to watch videos on MX Player. This is a fabulous app but please add a feature so that we can move videos from one folder to another folder without leaving the app. For instance - If I've to move my YouTube video from " Downloads " folder to " YouTube " folder, I've to go to file manager and do that manually. It would be great if we can move videos within the app.
Thanks in advance and hoping to see this feature in MX Player soon.
Kudos to bleu8888 for developing MX Player !

Brother I tried installed Mixplorer and then added vlc plugin but when I open my video in Miplayer it doesn't play. The Player crashes and automatically closes. Tried installing and reinstalling. It still crashes.
By any means can we add that feature in MX Player by tweaking the app ?

Kindly do not post any patched version here.
There are lot of users who doesn't aware about the side effects.
Even though you have patched only codec, It will still prevent users from upgrading to new versions.

Sorry. It was a misunderstanding. I thought that it's patched version as you have mentioned t as patched.
Now, I have checked the package & It's basically a flashable zip with custom codec library instead of MX Official ffmpeg library.
Anyway it's quite old version & updating it will loose the ac3/dts support.

[APP] - [TOOLS] - [4.3+] WiFi Password Viewer (V1.3) => Root, no ads and for free!

►►WiFi Password Viewer (Root, free and no ads)◄◄
►Introduction◄
First I was looking for a wifi password tool that I can check my WiFi passwords even before I did a full wipe.
Then I was pissed of from all the ads and apps that don't support Oreo (I like Oreo, because 100g Nougat is more expensive than 100g Oreo ).
Last but not least I decided to write a complete free ($$$ / ads) wifi password viewer and share it with you.
►How it works◄
File location Oreo: /data/misc/wifi/WifiConfigStore.xml
File location < Oreo: /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
WiFi Passwords Viewer is looking for the WiFi Config file in your system.
This file will be copied and read to / from your internal memory.
When your device has read that file it will be deleted immediately and the wifi information are displayed in the apps listview.
There is no internet permission needed for your security (you can share the wifi informations by mail, whatsapp or whatever with the share button)
►Anything else?◄
I am a dev-rookie so don't blame me - give me inputs
I am not a designer, I'd never paint a good looking picture and I never did any nice looking designs so don't blame me - give me inputs
I am not an English speaking guy so don't blame me - give me inputs

Hi there again! I found another one and it's open source.
It's called WiFiKeyShare and it's available in Google Play Store, F-Droid and the code it's in GitHub. You could try to merge both proyects.

I'm trying to make sense of their Roadmap, but we all know how those things work out... hmm
In 2018, we plan to release the system as an “installable ROM”
Well it's Sept., and I assumed based on the site; August 2018: /e/ OS beta (MVP) release with several web services (search, app store), maybe that's the ROM release...
Anyone have Telegram can check them out? I posted the Telegram channels on the original post.
If you read carefully, they will be selling devices built with the OS first, then after a trial period it will become public. It does not fully work just yet as a daily....

https://github.com/cyxx/extract_android_ota_payload
Then you'll have your boot/system/vendor images and then you can fastboot flash them, which is nice in case of TWRP issues, or just wanting to fastboot flash...

hmm.. interesting. I can handle those payload.bin files..already have the extractor setup on my Mac.
Would still prefer TWRP flashable zips or just simple sideload zips.
Did it release?

At first I wasn't sure if this was a new OS from scratch, but it appears to be Android, and the info they have says;
Beta stage: forked from LineageOS 14.1

How To UseDownload the .apk to your device and install!
Note: I have tested this on my Android 11 device as you can not theme Snapchat with something like Substratum. No idea if it works on lower versions but please try!
DownloadDownload from the Google Play Store.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback!
Works on my Mi 9T runnning LOS 18.1 (Android 11)
Haven't been banned yet
Can you add follow system theme or just a timed schedule toggle?
Currently not working in the latest version as Snapchat removed the experimental dark mode, hopefully temporarily.
Any idea which versions do support it?

Thanks, downgraded, now it's working fine on my OP 7 Pro running OOS11.
Update it is working on latest stable but not latest beta.
Hasn't been working for a while with Snapchat's new update. Also got a letter from Snap Inc. stating a Terms of Service Violation, which I don't really understand how, but I have to remove it for the Play Store.

Is there a workaround cause the DARK_MODE flag keeps getting removed every single time I decide to add it but it works on 11.27
