Hi,
Your devices section is here. Questions can go in Q&A, and roms and what not are posted in the development sections. You'll need to read the rom threads and see which models they are compatible with. You can ask questions about them there too...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-flex
Good luck!

Actually, I see you are quite familiar with your device section by your post history.
xda Assist is here to help members navigate the site, not for support or discussion.
Thank you, thread closed.

any tips on why every ROM I install crashes after boot or won't install at all? I've tried CWM and TWRP with Cyanogenmod, aopk, MIUI.
Hi!
I see you've already asked in the general Android forum. But you'd be better served asking in your devices section, found here...
> HTC One > One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Just be sure tho that you've followed the flashing instructions exactly. Sound like you're missing a step perhaps.
Good luck!
yeah
all ROMs are a zip file with three sub folders and a boot.img, right? i've tried so many, i fgure there must be a partition that's not getting wiped or something.
Again, you need to ask in the correct forum as linked above.
XDA Assist is here to point you in the right direction, but not for support.
Ask in the thread I linked and someone should be able to help, that knows your device best.

Also....be very descriptive in your post....list any errors or what happens exactly. Will speed up the troubleshooting. ?
Hi to all
I have a Samsung galaxy s6102 and some weeks ego I entered a code (*#*#2663#*#*) which supposed to update touch firmware but it failed and touch screen never worked again.
I couldn't repair my phone even by flashing ROM an kernal. I tried method mentioned in this topic but I discovered that screencast does not work on my phone, hence I used ADB shell commands to enter the code (*#*#2663#*#*).
unfortunately just after entering the code this error message pops up: "The application com.sec.android.app.lcdtest (process com.sec.android.app.lcdtest) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
I retried with different ROMs and got the same error.
I am wondering how should I erase touch firmware and flash new one and why flashing ROM and kernel do not replace this firmware?
It would be very appreciated if anyone suggest another solution for my case.
Hi,
You'd be best served asking for help in your device section... This section covers your device model as well, just specify your model when asking for help and only flash files made for your specific model number, no other kinds...
> Legacy & Low Activity Devices > Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 > Galaxy Y GT-S5360 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!
---------- Post added at 09:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:11 AM ----------
Also, that link you posted is for another device. Again, only follow instructions and flash files made for your device. No other devices. Unless a reputable source suggests you can. ?
Thanks

Thank you for your guide
so what do you suggest? should I create another post in that section and mention this one, ask some moderator member to move my topic or just wait for assistance here?

HI Guys,
I finally was able to download the
Code:
LG D690
KDZ file for the
Code:
LG stylus
. I wanted to extract this to system image files so that I can port this.
I tried the existing KDZ extractors out here and it seems that the file is using a different compression method. Even LG flash program that was utilized for my P765 didn't work. It will be great if someone can help.
File Name:
Code:
D69010c_00.kdz
.
One of the tools made a CAB out of it and it was the exact same size so I think that just got renamed as the dz extractor didn't work either.
Please help. I want to port the LG ROM to the Q1010i and other
Code:
MTK6582
devices. Thank you
Hi,
I suggest starting with this thread.
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Software Development > [Guide]How To Port & Modify Roms For Mediatek[Everything]
Now, you can ask for help here, but until you've reached 10 constructive posts, the new Q&A Bot will redirect you to a Q&A thread in the Android Q&A section. So you know.
Good luck!

Disregard that last part, I see you are over 10 posts... So you're good to go to post in the thread. ?

Hello, today I rooted my verizon lg g3. After the fact I decided to install a custom rom. This rom was the most popular and best reviewed one I could find(aka sphinx g3). I installed twrp recovery aswell as made a backup rom. I continued the process and installed the rom. after the fact fact it told me to reboot. I did, and now it is stuck on a black screen while blinking red and blue notification lights. I went to recovery and somehow my backup rom was deleted. Help please, Im having a mini freak out at the moment
Hi,
That is strange your backup disappeared. The best thing you can do is ask in the rom thread for help, or post here in your devices Q&A section...
> Verizon LG G3 > Verizon G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!
---------- Post added at 08:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:57 PM ----------
Also, are you sure your model number is supported? It's not a rom in the Verizon section. It may not be compatible with your model.
Ask for help where I pointed you. You may need to flash stock again. Hopefully that fixes you up.
Thank you. Thread closed.
i am looking for a download link for the most current firmware for my phone. i have a sprint htc pg06100 4g phone. im tired of run arounds and web sites that want you to download driver scanners etc.. im simply looking for the firmware file itself and if there is a download link for my phone model, how do i do a manual installation. if anyone can give me a simple answer without the technical and run around nonsense i really would appreciate it.
also can someone explain the donate to me icon on the lower left of the screen? what is it for?
Hi,
Here is a thread on the subject with links to the different firmware (RUU's) for your device. Follow the links to the Android version that suits you,
> HTC EVO Shift 4G > EVO Shift 4G General > Stock evo shift sense rom
If you need further help, or have future questions about your device... Here is where to ask,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/evo-shift-4g/help
Good luck!

Oh, "donate" is for members to donate via PayPal usually to other members. Kind of like a token for their work. It's not expected, just there for people that want to. Of course it needs to be set up for it to work. (with members PayPal info... Etc )

thanks darth i followed some of the links given and most are dead ends and others are links to download some type of downloader that is not related to the file i am looking for. one way or another i know there is a current firmware rom for my phone that all i simply need to do is transfer it onto my sd card then do a boot, select file and let it update my phone.. hopefully someone can see this thread and provide a working link to the file and not some downloader that triggers my virus software.
Everything we use here almost will trigger pc virus software, that's normal.
If the RUU's don't help, which is the official software files for HTC's, then you'll need to ask in the section I linked second for help. ?
---------- Post added at 08:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:30 PM ----------
You can ask for help here too, since the EVO section is very quiet these days,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
firmware
tried a few more links came to one and downloaded the file pg06img.zip and put it on the sd card tried to update the phone it said update failed main image is older. still cant hunt down a current firmware file. i have android version 2.3.4 which is the firmware file i am trying to get ahold of. my phone once i turn it on keeps reseting itself over and over. i need to re-flash it with the correct file. can you help me find it? i can not seem to on my own even through google.
The RUU's are firmware. Please read up on what they are if you have doubts. I've given you links, including your device section and general Q&A, if you want to ask for help there.
