Verify the SHA1 hash on your downloaded zip file matches the one here under the version you downloaded. If not, re-download the file and check again.
What version of Android are you coming from? Did you do a Full Wipe?
Check out this Slim Installation guide.

SlimKat 9.0 - GAPPS
Hi,
Just downloaded the SlimKat 9.0 version for Skyrocket. But I could not locate GAPPS for SlimKat 9.0. Does it mean that SlimKat 9.0 ROM can be installed with SlimKat GAPPS 8.0?

They should be appearing on the Slim site some time this week. @dankoman has then hosted on his Basketbuild account here :
https://s.basketbuild.com/devs/dankoman/slimkat_gapps
I think the v8 ones were just renamed for consistency, and the v385 GApps should work. The testing done for Stable 9 used the above GApps and the v385 GApps here:

SlimKat Bootloop
Flashed and get stuck in bootloop
I'm running the official weeklies since a few weeks, running perfectly!
Check out official website!
local_manifest
Trying to build slim for moto peregrine for the first time, but after repo sync there is no local_manifest that mentions peregrine at all? As the result I can't build the whole thing. What am I missing? Am I supposed to create local_manifest myself?
I can't help you so much, as i don't own a 64bits computer.
Just wondering why you want to build it, instead of downloading it here: http://slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/dlsearch/viewcategory/1321-peregrine

No, I'd like to build it. It's not that difficult to find info on how to download and install it, there are plenty of guides, etc. It's more tricky figuring out how to build it - not so much information is turned up by google. In any case, thank you for taking time to reply.
Its rare, because i just installed this rom, and i have 0 issues, i dont have bugs at the navigation bar, installed Aokp light gapps

[A511] check.partition.size=[__PROP_UNDEFINED__]
Hi,
I've tried installing CM11 on my A511. So in fastboot I've installed recovery-cwm-shreps-6.0.5.0-a510-lvm.img (and later, just to try recovery-cwm-shreps-6.0.4.9-a510-lvm.img).
After a reboot and wipe, I have used "apply update from external strorage" on file cm-11-M11-20141018-UNOFFICIAL-a510-a511_lvm.zip (and later, just to see, what happens cm-11-M10-20140920-UNOFFICIAL-a510-a511_lvm.zip).
In every case after "Verifying update package..." the message check.partition.size=[__PROP_UNDEFINED__] is displayed and everything stops.
What am I doing wrong?

Nope, I have not tried TWRP (yet)- all manuals, I have seen said CWM.. do you think, using TWRP will do?

Both TWRP and CWM are compatible with AOSP ROM (Cyano, AOKP, Paranoid, etc.)
I think we never try a jump from 4.1 stock to 4.4.4
Maybe this is the issue. Try with the latest TWRP first, and if it doesn't work try to flash CWM 6.04.5 and flash CyanogenMod 10.1 or 10.2 (Android 4.2.2 / Android 4.3)
If it's working fine, then upgrade recovery and flash a 4.4.4 ROM
applied EBossa
Hi,
TWRP did the job. Thank you very much

Hello, does anyone have the weekly 7.4 (6152) download link. I've looked in the website, but can't find it. Thanks in advance.
Edit: Nvm, found a copy.
Probs installing slimkat Slim-crespo-4.4.4.build.9.0
Just FYI to anyone trying this - first a dirty flash, then a clean flash of Slim-crespo-4.4.4.build.9.0-WEEKLY-8321 with the Slim_normal_gapps.4.4.4.build.8.x-385. Both installed fine but wouldn't connect to google servers during initial setup - i'd connect to wifi or 3G data (which I verified was connected and working) and enter my google login and it would immediately say "Couldn't sign in". This was the same behavior for both the dirty and the clean flash. Then I clean flashed the Slim-crespo-4.4.4.build.8.20-WEEKLY-8172 zip with the same gapps as above, same problem. Then I flashed the full gapps, same problem. Finally, what worked, was I clean flashed the Slim-crespo-4.4.4.build.8.20-WEEKLY-8172 with the MINI gapps (Slim_mini_gapps.4.4.4.build.8.x-385) from the slimroms apge, and then that worked, and connected to google account login..... hope it helps someone else.
Hello guys, I'd like to install the latest stable version (Slimkat 4.4.2 build 5) on my gf's Nexus S. As this will be my first custom ROM install, I wonder which (minimal) slim_gapps build to use. I managed to get a copy of the 4.4.2 build 5. Or is it safe (or recommended) to use the 4.4.4 build 9?
Thanks in advance.
Hi!
Currently I have a CM11 M8 installed in my Google Nexus S.
I would like to know how much SlimKat is faster and lightweight than CM11?
Does it uses considerably less RAM memory?
Thanks!

Yes it's "faster" on benchmarks, but by only 100's of points.., and yes it is lightweight (nearly 100mb smaller).., and ram usage is very similar per how I used them..

Thanks Setting.Out!
I decided install SlimKat on my phone yesterday (Google Nexus S/crespo) and I could check this with my own eyes.
It is slightly faster.
It is lightweight in size.
And the TOTAL RAM available in Settings, that was 386MB in CM11, is 409MB in SlimKat.

I just removed the first line in the updater-script under: META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script. Make sure you have the right device though.
