[Q] romanian character encoding - MX Player

Hi,i love this videoplayer, but i have one problem with character encoding in Romanian language,i can't make it work,i have try all unicode but not working, still get bad subtitle.

Copy any Romanian font (which can render properly) to your sdcard
Goto Settings 》Subtitles 》Font folder
Select the location of your font pack.
Now in Settings 》 subtitle 》Text
Change the font to your custom font.
Of it's still broken your rom don't support complex script rendering.

There are some fonts available here.
http://www.aatseel.org/resources/fonts/windows_central.htm
Most of them are in zip format. Unzip before copying to your device

[Q] Is there any way to install other language fonts?

Hi everyone,
I've finally rooted my phone and installed Endymion's awesome rom. It's been working great so far, except that it doesn't display chinese characters (although it has chinese IME, in which the characters only show up as boxes)
Is there any way to install the font manually? Tried searching the forums with no luck.
Thanks in advance!
I have no experience with Chinese characters, but I'm guessing some app like Font Installer (sorry, can't post links yet) should allow you to find a font that includes them.

The best way is
1) Download any Chinese Unicode font
2) download Es file explore form market
3) put font to your sd card
4) open Es file explorer, goto setting and root options,
5) check mount system rw
6) rename font as DroidSansFallback.ttf, and copy
7) now go to system, fonts folder, and paste.
It will ask to replace, press yes. Reboot and enjoy

[HOW TO] Add Custom Fonts for GO SMS Pro

Ever wonder, how to add your OWN font for your GO SMS?
You found a nice font on dafont.com, and you want it to be your SMS font. BUT... you don't know how?
So, you searched... and then found out that you need to go to GO SMS Settings > Apperance Settings > Scan font packages... BUT... it did not find your font.
So, you improvised... you put your font on sdcard/external_sd/gosms/fonts/... BUT... that what just plain hilarious if you did that
So, you searched the market for a font you can install with your GO SMS Pro. You found Fonts Bundled 1, Fonts Bundled 2, etc etc... BUT... they are all ugly. What you need is the font you found on dafont.com.
So, you have lost hope. BUT then... you have found this post.
If you wanna add your OWN CUSTOM FONT, then you need to have your OWN CUSTOM THEME with that OWN CUSTOM FONT.
HOW???
Easy, first, download the GO SMS Theme Maker for your laptop: http://61.145.124.93/soft/gosms/theme/GOSmsProThemeMakerEnV2_2.rar.
Then, decompress the file that you just downloaded.
Open ThemeTool.bat from it. It will open the Easy Theme Maker.
Enter any name and version you would want your custom theme to have.
Then, from the folder you found where ThemeTool.bat, open assets folder.
Inside that folder, make a new folder and name it fonts.
Put inside the OWN CUSTOM FONT you found. Be sure that the font is a true-type font, having an extenstion of ttf. And be sure that the extension on small letters, i.e. customfont.ttf and not customfont.TTF.
And back to the Easy Theme Maker, click Generate APK File.
From the folder you found where ThemeTool.bat, there should be a new file _signed.apk.
Install that to your phone, that is your OWN CUSTOM THEME with OWN CUSTOM FONT.
Go to GO SMS Pro > Settings > Appearance Settings > Scan font packages.
Then, ENJOY customizing your SMS fonts! BUT... This time no more BUTs.
I just got bored so I made this guide and I made my new sig... that's why
Hihihih
Hope this helps.

actually, all you have to do is put your font.ttf in the sdcard/gosms/fonts folder and your new font will be at the end of the list when you go to change it.

I haven't tried this yet but is what you said above true? The other method seems too laborious just to add a font to your system.

Yes absolutely. Very simple. I did leave out one obvious, easy step though. You have to go into the GOsms menu> advanced settings> appearance>"scan font packages"
Let me know if it worked for you. Please hit the Thanks button if it helped
I am sorry but the time I made this thread GO SMS Pro didn't support the feature mentioned above just to put the font to sdcard/gosms/fonts and it will recognized it, that is why I made this thread.
Well, anyways its good that it now support external fonts.
RAR File is no longer there

W/ the last update, they've just about stripped out every feature in the appearance settings, you could change the font and font type in each theme and save it.

Other TTF fonts in Gear Watch Designer?

Is there a way to include another TTF font in GWD?
If not, how do I use the bitmap font option? I am not familiar with using fonts another way. It appears that for bitmap fonts, I need a file for each character(?) What size? What format?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
you make a picture of each number in png. size is whatever you want it to be.

since you can only use numbers 0-9, it makes much more sense to just do it manually, with photoshop, or your preferred open source non-evil alternative.
Hello,
I have fond that if you put your TTF file in the [GWD_install_dir]/font directory and restart the tool, the font is made available as a TTF font in the tool. It is also correctly exported and used to the watch.

K.

Interesting. I tried that with one font, and it did not work. After reading your post, I went back and tried some other fonts and they did work. I suppose there is just something odd about the first font that I tried.
Thanks.

I found that the font extension had to be .ttf, if it was .TTF, they didn't work.

THANKS! That worked!!!!
Be sure to check the licenses on the typefaces you use; you don't want to get nailed for copyright infringement. I suppose this is why the typefaces need to be in the application's font directory as opposed to its just using the system typefaces, as the .ttf gets bundled into the rpm, er, tpk.
At first glance it's dumb that the application is case sensitive on Windows and OS X (both are merely case-retentive unless you enable case sensitivity) but it's actually quite logical (one of the few smart things about GWD at this point); you're building packages which are destined for a platform which is case sensitive rather than merely case retentive.
I tried but I cannot see these fonts in the tool...
I have renamed it from .TTF to .ttf but nothing to do...
Any idea why?
Thanks

make sure you have the fonts in both the font folder and the temp folder. updating to GWD 1.0.2 wipes out the fonts so you have to put them back manually. DOH!

I put a .ttf font in both temp and font folder, restarted GWD and I still can't choose this font for my digital watch.
Any idea?
I am GWD 1.03 on Mac.
Same here
Other than "properties/details" how would you otherwise check to make sure the font is not copyright ©?
Thanks.
Which tool you guys using to add .ttf fonts to the s3?

I found a Theme Font Pack wich include a type of font that when you apply it change ALL the fonts on you phone.
I found it here https://huaweiemuithemes.blogspot.com/2016/06/pack-of-12-awesome-fontsmarshmallow.html
steps.
1.download them (if they are named as .bin rename it to .hwt)
2. move to HWThemes
3.go to themes app
4. choose the one of the previous "Theme Font Pack" and apply it.
Ps. for better results just rebot, sometimes it doesn't aply completly
good luck

This is impossible as numerous apps have their own font embedded in the apk. You will have to change that as well if you want a "true" system-wide font.
I do this with the Dropbox app for example as this app contains a stock Roboto font, whatever other font you install for the system it will by default use Roboto, unless changed to something else :good:
You saved my a*ss, than you!!
