Google Play Error
i Love this ROM. Most of it works, and well. Jumped from 2 to 4 in a day and theres a big difference in usability. However, Google play will not sign in. I tried the gapps provided and reinstalled with different methods with no success. Ive tried all variants i can find going back to gapps for 4.4.2.
Im going to try the hosts file trick next and report back. Any insight in the meantime would be appreciated. Thank you

did you clear the app cache? in settings->app-> select playstore and push the clear cache button

Yeah, sorry man the rom hasn't been updated in ages and I have no plans on updating it. Unfortunately this is a really forsaken device in terms of the level of developer support and support from HTC and Snapdragon as a a whole. I've moved on to another phone and I recommend you move on from it too.

Well, in fact it just has been updated by somebody else....mikronac.ns just started to build this ROM several days ago and his builds are up to date

Different phone.
bugs
It sometimes reboots, usually when I am unlocking the phone. Seems like every internet browser is lagging hard, that's the main reason why I changed the ROM. Anyway, CarbonROM with android 4.3.1 is working fine for me and I find it the best (as the dwl links for PAC-MAN and CM11 are broken). Plus it has Halo.
Gapps won't install on Carbon for HTC Ville s3
Hi there,
I just flashed the Carbon ROM for my HTV Ville S3 and it worked perfectly. However, I am not able to flash the GAPPS, I tried with the four GAPPS versions for this ROM and still not working. I am getting this error:
E:Error executing updater binary in zip [...] error flashing zip [...]

Hello Team,
I have installed ROM in my HTC One S villec2 model. The ROM is just so awesome and light and I thank team for the great work ahead. Waiting for Carbon to launch Android 5 for villec2 the same way ASAP
There are few issues that I have seen in last 24 hours since I installed it:
1) Camera is not capturing Videos. Though it shows it is recording them, but never saves them in Gallery.
2) Intermittent reboot. I really don't know the pattern or steps to reproduce the issue.
3) Keyboard is getting crashed very often.(This could also be due to wrong gapps that I might have installed, please provide link in case).
4) Screenshot is not working.
If there is any latest patch to fix these issues, please let me know so that I can enjoy this great piece of work by team CARBON.

All images on kernel 3.4.x don't have a future without modifying the kernel due to major bugs. You should not try.

Encountered bootloop!
Hi!
I installed this ROM for the first time and I just loved it! Perfectly smooth UI, loads of options for personalisation and everything!
But when I restarted the phone, it went into a bootloop!
Later, I tried reinstalling it by downloading the ROM to my phone again, but nothing helped!
Presently, I have CM 10.1 working fine on my device. But I would love to see KitKat on it very soon.
If anyone else is facing the same problem, you'll have look into it, please! Because this ROM is really awesome and I fell in love with my phone all over again!

yess its a ported roms so this things are normal.... and no further dev on omnirom so you can jus look forward to sppedmod if u want kitkat

I am on the Sac23 Port and can't get it this rom to boot up. any suggestions?

installed this rom twice
I have tried this rom twice. With multiple wipes before installing. I can get the Rom loaded, complete the setup process while fighting the health services FC issue. I also get a FC on ITSOn and SAE after installing the update file. I also tried the health fix .zip, which did work for a moment but eventually the fc was coming up again. The Rom looks promising and cannot wait to get a more stable version.
One more thing, when I go to settings/ about device, settings force closes also .
I'm guessing with our locked bootloader on Verizon this would be impossible to run on Verizon with safestrap??? Loved your rom on the s4

The only way I was able to get CM12 roms working was to flash a CM11 rom and gapps, let it boot all the way through and then flash CM12 over it without doing any wipes. I noticed user morr22066 had the same issue and his post helped me fix it.

thanks for the heads up. let frustration set in and must have missed that post. I flashed the gummy rom i already had on hand gapps too and then flash the lp pac rom and gapps , I did do a factory reset and wiped the cache and dalvik tho will see how things work out for me
What are the main differences between PAC and CM12?

Hello, I have a Droid Mini, as if I did not install CM12 me all outgoing contacts are set as "Unknown"! Much to ask, show me how to set the CM12 or purely whatever contacts had no problems? Thank you!
Best rom for my XT1080M so far.
It has one problem though. I don't seem to be able to remove built-in apps with root explorer. They all come back after every time I reboot the cell phone. Looking forward to a stable version.

Battery Drain
Hi,
I have a S3 i535 phone which was already rooted when i got it. It was running on some customer rom may be it was jellybean 4.1.2.
My bad luck, i tried updating the features i tried installing few other customer roms . Here my problems started.
Few roms i flashed were not functioning, i just get Samsung logo after restart nothing else. Few other crashes camera.
I got this Rom by chance and was very happy using it. i have what i need. No issues with camera or any other app.
I used it for almost 1 week and noticed that my battery is draining very fast.. I tried going into recovery and flashing the rom again, same result, battery still draining fast.
I have used CM 10.2 rom too and it gives decent battery backup so i know its not the battery.
Either am doing something wrong or may be some issue with rom.
One more question.
currently i am on 4.3.1 . is it possible for me to go back to 4.1.2. if yes, kindly explain me(Am dummy)
I have tried installing but gets stuck on Samsung logo and then i have to flash some other rom
# I am using TWRP recovery.
Or, if you can suggest me some other good roms or kernels that i can try.
