i can boot on bootloader hboot i dont know

Hello everyone,
My brother has got a Telstra HTC Desire that won't boot anymore after doing a google maps update. His phone isn't rooted, just stock Rom android 2.2
For what I understood the phone keeps on rebooting on a loop after the HTC screen.
I made him go into hboot to try to restore the original HTC Rom from the executable but the computer won't see the phone connected.
Do you know if anything can be done to fix the phone?
Please any suggestion is welcome!

hey i am trying to restor using ruu
i have entered fastboot an ran an ruu from a link from another thread
the loading bar almost finishes when i get and error and the screen on my phone
just show htc logo and "!" in each corner please help i bought phone from telstra
and use a telstra ruu the ruu is

error is uncoplete paclkage or something
hi guys i can`t access to the recovery after i unlocked my htc one x and copied the wcn to my phone it showes me an exclamation mark and all that i can do is to restart my phone.... could you pleaaaaaaaaaaaase help

i have a htc sensation with cid htc__44 S-on Hboot 1.27... i try to instal ics but now my phone restart with white screan and htc green and after 3 restart i get a red triangle !!
i try all solution in this forum and others forums but nothing i can't unlock the bootlader in htcdev (when i say yes the phone freeze) can't fash nothing with fastboot i got always error or failed... (sorry for my bad english) please people i need your help ((
i have a htc one m8 and i have downloaded htc one 2014 (m8) all in one tool kit i have followed the instructions but when i click get token my screen on my phone goes black and says FASTBOOT mode as i am trying to unlock the bootloader menu so i can install the os 4.4.4 as it wont update over the air and htc sync mang cant find the phone can any one help please
