[Q] Changing settings icon in apps drawer

I have been trying to change the settings icon in my app drawer.
I have edited the icon in settings.apk, systemui.apk framwork-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk but it is still showing the orgional icon.
I have been able to edit all the icons in the settings menu, but not the main icon its self.
Can anybody tell me what I need to edit?
I am using ICS sense 3.6 with 3.32.401.5_R as the rom base.

I would think it would be Settings/res/drawable-hdpi/common_app_ic_launcher_settings.png
Do you have a skin or anything applied that may be overriding your edited icon?

Looking at an extraction of the apk and I'm having second thoughts...
I don't have access to decompile to check resources, but it looks as though settings may be using mipmap:
Settings/res/mipmap-hdpi/ic_launcher_settings.png

Yes it is using the mipmap-hdpi/ic_launcher_settings.png file! Thank you very much I would have never thought of looking in there Icon is now changed!!!!

No problem. Remember, you may want to add matching mdpi and xhdpi versions of your icon as well...

but hes using a diff status bar switchs but the s3 ripple lockscreen is great if i use the framework form this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836201 i get the status bar s3 switches but lose the the lockscreen is there any why to get both together

you can download the rom from the first link and extract the famework folder from system/framework and then push it to your phone with adb i dont what to upload it because i did't make it

You need alliance OTA app from market. ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ficeto.darkyromota ) .... In that app you can set shotcuts...

You will need custom settings apk found in the system/app to be pushed to your system/app folder

heres the one i edited so it looks more stock but pleace make a backup first with clockwork or by root exploer system/app/SystemUI.apk

Ho man i am talking about the animated scrolling means when you pull down the statusbar mean the toggles will scroll automatically........
And you are telling me about 15toggles
If you want that mean wait for the next update of Robbie because he will make that animated scrolling with Tw theme like s3....not Aokp

That's not making a ROM. That's taking someone elses entire system and adding lidroid toggles. I hope you're not planning on posting that here....

very good mod, but still I found him several bugs.
1. The flashlight does not work sometimes , the flash does not light .
2. On many occasions the camera does not work, does not start well, I select , I get a black screen moments and then returns to the home screen of sview . Other times it works.
3. water color effect the unlock screen DOES NOT WORK .
4. Still having the problem of black screen sview this in lollipop .
Are small errors , but it can be arranged. Good contribution .

If you have a rooted device just install "Xposed framework" and then you can customize your JB . By downloading a lot of apps for example (xstana, gravity box[JB], Xblast tools).

Here Is The N5 5.1.1 Launcher themed like 6.0 MM.
I haven't this device.so not tested.do a backup before u using it.
Try It On Motion LL Rom
Features:-
- Added new 6.0.1 Clock image
- Replaced wallpaper button with 6.0.1 one
- Replaced page indicator with new rounded from 6.0.1
- Replace entire folders colors with 6.0.1 color scheme (Grey, Light blue, Green, Orange and Yellow)
- Fixed in Settings black text on black BG thanks to Martillero
1. Download and extract
2. Put apk in system/priv-app/TouchWizHome_ZERO (or ZERO-MR1) and set rw-r-r permissions for the apk.
3. Finally put the two libs in system/priv-app/TouchWizHome_ZERO (or ZERO-MR1)/arm/lib and set rw-r-r permissions for the libs.
4. Reboot and wipe data of touchwiz Home from Settings

I just creatr a TouchWizHome_ZERO folder contains apk and lib folder. set all permission. then reboot

I dont love 320 dpi.so change dpi to 270...?
