I have the AT&T Galaxy note 2 SGH-I317.
At boot the screen sits on the galaxy note 2 logo. I can get to download mode but can not get to recovery mode.
I had just updated to 4.3 and rooted (mistake) and I needed to unroot. I have tried to flash the stock rom but it just keeps doing the same thing. Also the stock was 4.1.2.
I already tried using TWRP via Odin but that did not do anything.
EDIT:
I did some research and found out that knox which comes with 4.3 does not allow downgrade which is what I was doing. So I now think that all I need is a 4.3 stock rom. any links?
Hello Im new to samsung and galaxy phones, I rooted my phone back in february and now the new update for KITKAT comes in and down loads but it fails right after the download finishes. I have tried to do it manually with odin and the stock rom from sprint but as soon as Odin starts it says write failed.. Does any body know how to fix this or tell me what is going on. I have clockword recovery flashed as well is there a way to update kit kat from the zip file on sd card? Thanks in advance for the help
I was running alliance rom TW 4.3 with my gs3 which was rooted and still had an unlocked bootloader and flashed a 4.4 rom. I didnt like that rom so I restored my alliance back I had made but when it finished loading and booting up it had said I lost root. How can I get back to root while being on the alliance 4.3 rom. someone told me to use safestrap which I did and it worked but now I have been told that I can't run any AOSP roms anymore. Is this true? What should I do? I don't want to jack up my phone.

You shouldn't of used safestrap, thats only for locked bootloaders. I remember you from the other thread I commented in. Try saferoot
So I was really excited to get the new 4.4.2 upgrade and I rooted it that same day. I am using Verizon Galaxy S3, sch i535, baseboard version ne1,
kernel 3.4.0 dated may 20,2014. Rooted using towel root. I can't reboot into recovery, my counter is still at 0 but I get the Verizon yellow triangle message about unauthorized software. I already had clockwork installed and supersu was set up with the binary installed. What am I missing? I have tried everything I can think of. Please Help

Bootloader is locked on 4.4.2, I don't believe it will be getting unlocked anytime soon unfortunately. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, been out of the s3 loop for a while.
You can NOT run any recoveries on towelroot! It's for rooting to debloat only.

I wouldn't suggest you tell someone to ODIN back to 4.3 from 4.4.2 if you haven't done this yourself. Can you confirm this is safe?
Seems like we have the same problem. Let me know if the Odin back to 4.3 then OTA is safe.

I couldn't Odin back to 4.3 from 4.4.2, as it gave me an error, don't think it's possible.
I have searched high and low, and cannot find a rooted system image for the Verizon Note 10.1. I was previously rooted with 4.12, and i flashed twrp which gave me the verizon tampering message, for which i reflashed stock recovery, but now i am not rooted. Any ideas here?
