So let me start by saying I am a big fan of Seidio cases.
First Impression:
Very nice packaging and the looks of the case are great.
Case:
The Neoprene part of the case is very thin. You will notice little added bulk but excellent coverage. However a big point of concern I have is the neoprene is slick. So if you purchased this to protect your new SR it will be great. If one of your complaints with the SR is the back was slick and lacked texture your in for the same experience. After sliding over the Neoprene you slide the outer ring/plastic frame. The outer ring fits nicely over the Neoprene.
Fit:
The Neoprene fits well however to note the rear speaker is covered slightly but all other openings fit well. The outer ring suffers from the same issue for the rear speaker. The case does not really add much bulk which is a plus.
Overall:
This is a very nice case considering the money. I have not noticed the slight covering of the rear speaker to have a adverse effect. I think this offers good protection overall. I think for most people the issue will be the slick aspect of the Neoprene. If I were to give it a rating I would give it a 8 out of 10.
End Result:
I ended up returning the case. The only real issue I had was the Neoprene is just simply too slick. My 2 cents are since the device is sizable I need a textured cover so as to avoid any slipping. I don't want to knock the case but for me its too slick.

Looks very interesting. Can you post back here after you recieve it and let us know how you like it? I have the otterbox case that is sold in the at&t store and I hate the bulk it adds and it simply makes the phone ugly. Like Gr8Danes I can't place an order for this item since it is out of stock.

This case looks great and appears to be low-profile as well. Tried to order, but all the cases state "Out of Stock", and there's no way to select/add to cart. Hopefully these will be in stock soon. Anyone know of another vendor source?

Don't know how the OP ordered his but it seems these items are still in production and not ready to ship. I can't wait to get a review on one of these as it is exactly what I have been looking for. If it fits well and is as low profile as it looks I will be sold.

It's kinda sad that there aren't that many cases available for the Skyrocket yet. I gave up looking and bought the same thing. Same site. Got the silver for me and the white one for the wife.
These have been in production for a while now, they were originally for the international LTE HD handsets. I just hope they fit ours nicely. Got an email yesterday that my order had already shipped. I'm in NY, it'll be a while...

I reluctantly ordered one of these too. The phone is way too slippery nekkid, so I had to get a case before my new skyrocket goes skyrocketing out of my hand one of these days.
I'm really waiting for someone to create a Barely-There type case for the skyrocket. But until then I'll have some peace of mind with this Neo case.

When I ordered it yesterday, it was in stock.
Someone just posted that they're available on Amazon now, hurry up and order from there before they're all gone.
I may cancel my order from Cretouch for the Neo, and order the Ultra capsule series from Amazon since that case looks thinner than the Neo.

Does the capsule have a smooth back or textured? Hard to tell in the picture.

Looks smooth, but a bit more rubbery grip than that stock battery cover on the Skyrocket. But I won't know for sure until it arrives.

I watched a couple of unboxing videos for both the capsule and the neo on GS2 devices. Not sure I agree that the capsule is less bulky. Looks like the capsule has almost no lip around the front edge but than again that lip on the neo will protect the screen better in the case of a drop.
In the video's the overall thickness of the case looks about the same or maybe even a little in favor of the neo. So the real difference is that lip on the front. I like the looks of the neo better. So between the looks and the added drop protection I think I can deal with a small lip.
Be interesting to compare notes after we both receive our cases.

I'll definitely come back and comment on the case when it arrives.
So I ordered the gel type case from Amazon and the Neo from Cretouch's website. I just emailed Cretouch to see if they can cancel my order for the Neo. If they can't, then I'll have 2 cases to try out and comment on.

Not sure who you post is aimed at. If your asking what these cases protect well it would mostly be scratch protection. But during a drop you would probably avoid any deep gashes like I have experienced from dropping my cappy on blacktop.
The neo seems to have a small lip in the front of the phone. This would stop the phone from landing on it's screed during a drop and inhibit the phone from sitting on it's screen when placed face down.

Ordered my Otter Box Commuter Case!

So last night I noticed on the AT&T Premier site the Otter Box commuter case no longer said out of stock. So I went ahead added it to my cart and completed my order! Got the confirmation email and tracking number today! It's due to be here Monday! On the Otter Box site it's still not available. So if anyone has been waiting on an email notifying them that they are ready, just log onto AT&T's accessories site and it should be there. The only one available was the Blue/Black color but the Blue is dark and doesn't look half bad in the pictures. I'll update the post with pictures as soon as it gets here!

I already got mine .. ordered it from my local AT&T store, only difference is, you paid $40 for it .. I paid $34, I complained that the AT&T version was more than Otterbox sells for and also removes the included screen protector that comes with the official Otterbox version.
So .. $34 with free shipping, I got it 2 days later via FedEx .. excellent case, I got the Black Plastic / Night Blue Slip Cover version.

I actually have the commuter Otter box, picked it up last Thursday. Its also the blue/black one. Dunno what's up with this blue/black - why? Why not just offer black/black? Prolly returning it. I will say it provides robust protection for your skyrocket. If you happen to have slippery fingers, this should keep it safe and sound so long as the screen doesn't get struck directly. That's the Defender, we are talking about the Commuter case, but it does look like it really protects the precious Skyrocket! Here's a few pics of the Commuter I got in today! The Flash makes the blue WAYYY brighter then it actually is! Very tight fit!! Kind of a pain to get it off if you need to remove the battery or SD card!

I've never used or saw that case in person . The case I was using before i'll post a picture of, was good. But this fits alot better. With the previous case I was getting creaking when holding the phone for phone calls. Hope someone with that case can chime in!

Is it flushed at the back? And can you take a pic with the case on its side, with the SR beside it? I would like to see the difference in thickness, when they are next to each other.

Got the commuter today also. But having a issue with the silicone ending before the plastic on the back. Which is giving me camera flash issues. Besides that its a nice case.

Have you tried to contact [email protected]? They have excellent customer service.
BTW, can someone in an LTE area go to www.otterbox.com and see if it actually shows their website? I get a weird website without photos on LTE and wifi. Not sure if its because of ad blocking or what. I'm in a rooted stock 2.3.6 rom.

I picked up a Defender case from AT&T two nights ago and the silicone wouldn't fit completely around the hard plastic inside case. AT&T had no more to exchange for, so I called Otterbox but they said they can't warranty it as they don't officially sell it yet, so I had to return it.

They JUST put them up on the Otterbox website. Too bad you returned it already...

"Caseology" the new Mercury?

So I was looking to pre-order a Mercury TPU case because they've been very nice on the Nexus and S3.
Amazon had them on the same page as the S3 version, but with odd looking photos showing a TV antenna corner cutout.
Check back at that page a few days later and it's got new photos and new branding -- as Caseology instead of Mercury. Mind you, it's still on the same Amazon page as the Mercurys, sold by Mercury USA, etc.

I don't know, but the price is worth a try. Just ordered one of each, white and white matte. for $1.99 each, you can't really go wrong...in case they are not perfect. lol

Yes I did. The product is...not what I wanted. I'll post pictures later, but the white matte case is black on the edges, and not matte at all...the white glossy case is moderately okay. The case is made from a company called nekeda I believe, but the cases were sent from mercury USA, emails were from mercury USA as well. But it isn't a great case at all. The matte case has the right corner cut off for no apparent reason. They are built well at least and everything is cut nicely. I just wouldn't use them. They aren't even attractive to look at...Lol

Yeah, it looks like Mercury (or whoever) is using Goospery as the "real" US case label. The cutout is for the Korean version's TV antenna I believe...

it seem too cheap to be a mercury brand, even tpu mercury will set you at least USD 10, in hong kong and china, 75% of them sold are fakes, and if the seller buys in bulk it's even cheaper.

i ordered a mercury case for my s3 about 2 months ago, very good quality my favorite case so far...for 10 bucks you cant beat it. it said made in NEW YORK on the back, not korea. im willing to bet the korean ones are the fakes. i ordered it from amazon and it said order fullfilled and shipped by mercury usa. now i go to my amazon history and click on the link of my order and it takes me to the caseology version...wtf. maybe caseology bought them out??

Does anyone know where I might find a Leather Sleeve Pouch for the Note 8 line the ones Samsung sells for the Tab 10.1 and Tab 2-7" ??
I carry my Tabs and Note in a small briefcase and don't have room or need for fancy folding gizmos. Thanks.

Looks decent - except the fact tyhat it leaves top of the Note exposed a bit.. I fear scratches like plague; specially when it sits inside bigger office bag..

I found a real leather sleeve. The price is way too high in my book but here you go:

Well I found exactly what I am looking for at Costco this morning. However, in order to get this official Samsung leather sleeve "free" I have to purchase the Note 8 WiFi only for $389.00. :silly: I will keep looking.

Costco only packages it with the Note 8 WiFi edition. It is a Samsung branded leather pouch.
I found the same Samsung pouch for the original Tab 10.1 from a supplier in Hong Kong about a year ago but can't find one for any version of the Note 8 yet. Obviously, Samsung is offering them as otherwise Costco would not be able to have Samsung package them for Costco's Note 8 combo package.

There's this suede one or the distressed leather look.

I received this vertical sleeve for the Note 8 and find it well made and easy to insert and remove the Note 8. The pull tap/strap works well for easily pulling out the Note 8 to allow sure grip on the device as you remove it completely from the sleeve. If you place the back of the device against the pull strap there is no chance of pressure of the strap against the screen from causing a shadow of the strap on the screen. The locking strap is easy to engage and disengage though I am not sure it would prevent the device from falling out is it was dropped (though I have decided not to test this theory :laugh: ). For the price it is a deal.

Anyone use a pouch with a TPU case on the tablet? the tpu case saved my note a few times, but i want the pouch for going in my bag( very fine scrathes from particles)
Has anyone tried? How much extra room is in pouches? Anyone have stand pouch? if not, guess i can remove tpu and put on when i knwo need to carry around...

Check out this leather sleeve pouch for Note 8.0 at Amazon , it sounds quite nice one..so just check it out once may be you find it good somewhere.....

Does the keyboard remove from the case, also does the keyboard have shortcuts on it like the full keyboard accessory does?

Early impressions were that people didn't like the snap method of affixing the case but I didn't have any issue with it and I like it.
My major criticism is with the edges of the case which have a raw, unfinished feel to them. If the cases were leather I would expect those edges to soften up with time but with this poly material, I don't know.
A major plus is that the cover doesn't add much bulk.
I had a difficult time finding a cover in my city. The one (the only one) a local Best Buy was carrying wasn't even in the Samsung section. The Samsung employees couldn't find it. I found it -- It was laying flat on a generic shelf labeled "tablet essentials".
Go figure.

No quite light and folds behind quite flat when needed.

Case looks beautiful but I can't get the buttons to hold it up. What am I doing wrong?
Edit -- nvm I just had to push them harder!!! Works great.

Here in Denmark, it was shipped for free if you placed an preorder before the 3rd of July . I agree, it's definitely a quality cover.

Love the bronze of the tablet. But the book cover bronze is a bit gaudy.

Just picked it up 2 days ago when it when on sale at Best Buy. I think Samsung finally got it right with this case!!!

My accessories came today including this case and I'll be stalling it tonight after I put on my screen protectors. I love the size and texture of the case, the closure is very strong. It's definitely worth getting over the 3rd party cases.

Not sure what you're asking about magnets. The magnets are strong and once you get used to the folding schemes it easy to switch.
As far as long term wear my only concern is with the snaps. Only time will tell. This is by far the nicest case Samsung has ever made. I have their case for the note 8 and the note 2, never used either one for long. I don't think I'll even look at other cases for this, unless I want one with keyboard.

I was pertaining to the other half of the rear flap that does not attach it's to the rear of the tablet. Doesn't it flop around when holding with one hand since it doesn't have any magnets? I e been looking at reviews of this case (not that much) and everyone is saying it's a really nice cade, pro ably the first case made by Samsung with that high praise. I usually just buy the generic ones from Amazon that have screen on and off function for 8 dollars lol

No. When folding the cover back you simply fold the flap underneath leaving the camera exposed and it doesn't flop around. Love it.

No flapping around in fact I have found that flap is the easy way to pull tab from case.
