3.Multi Picture Live Wallpaper- great live wallpaper that allows you to set various a wallpapers per homescreen it has many customisation features to many to list here

4.Scan Media-simply runs the phones media scanner which I was astonished that really the only way to do this (at least with my phone) was by unmounting and remounting the sd card you have to do this sometimes especially if u download something after you turn on your phone some applications won't find the media unless you do this

5.Easy Downloader- it speeds up downloads and can be used to download videos

6.Utorrent- from the same people who made the PC version also who invented the protocol anyways it can be used to download torrents directly from your phone it is the only torrent app I used that actually works on my phone

7.Pirate Bay Browser- it can be used to search an find torrent files (from pirate bay) it has a very nice interface and works great with utorrent making it very easy to find and download torrents when coupled together

8.Requires root: Links2sd- a must have it can be used for uninstalling system apps moving apps to system memory it makes every app able to move to the sd card it can do lots of things

9.Mx Player- it is the best video player I've used great if your having problems playing videos and a million times better than the system player

10.Tiger Arcade- it can be used to emulate mame and neo geo games it can also be used for cps1 and 2 and d mame also you'll need a bios file called neo geo.zip to emulate neo geo games (Google it) anyways this is the free version in order to enable saving you'll need to buy it anyways this app isn't on the play store anymore so I put it on drop box

11.Whatsapp- if you don't have it WTH r u waiting for best instant messaging app on android it's cross platform (android IOS BlackBerry Windows etc) lots of features is just great

12.Voxer- it's a PTT (push to talk) app basically kinda like a walkie talkie you basically hold down a button start talking and that's your friend receives it and the cycle continues no more need to type that's old school lol

13.Viber- you can use it to make voice calls over the internet yes you can use it to make FREE calls over the internet the call quality is great (much better than regular calls) as long as you have a good connection it also doubles as a messaging app though no where near as full featured as whatsapp the main draw is that messages pop right up on the screen so you can reply without actually entering the app

14.Smileys for Chat- So you got your social apps down what u need now is a smiley app lol this app is a collection of images memes etc that you can use to spice up some chats

Wi-Fi Mac address changer- can use to change your Wi-Fi Mac address and browse anonymously or another example would be this network that I own in which this app may be used I set it up in a way (just 2 test d app) where you can connect but if you try to go online you get a page with a prompt asking for your password so what I did was use Wi-Fi kill to find out the mac address of pc currently connected to the Wi-Fi networks Mac address then change my Mac address to that and presto chango I could use the network

Network Spoofer- can do various things to a network your connected to like change all pictures to a pre selected 1 blur images flip images redirect to a particular website change text in Google searches change all YouTube videos to a pre defined one ETC but can only be legally used on your network

*Requires root* Game CIH- use to edit game files can edit things like cash money points ETC but it's kinda hit and miss how it works is that u open it hit home (it'll stay open on the background) now open the game u wanna edit and there'll be a toast in the upper part of the screen hit the magnifying glass and search for what you wanna change you can search name or numbers search for a make example cash and see what u find but you won't necessarily find anything relevant since the dev probably didn't name it that if you need any help just comment or pm me or something

What about security apps ? Id like to nominate Avast! as THE best mobile security app ever.
It can do a whole range of things, Including remote lock & wipe, Activating a siren and on screen message (custom message) It also has tracking features and will inform you if the sim is changed.
It scans every new installed app for malware and viruses and also has web privacy protection against dodgy phishing sites. It also has anti-theft feature (requires root) which will install the app and data into the system so that it will survive a full wipe !!
Ive just been having a little play with it via the Avast! website... And best of all.... ITS FREE !!!
I'd say this is a must have app ! the first thing that should be installed on any android device.

Or k thanx that'll be great...but if you wanted to do it from your phone u could it do it by using an app called share app you can simply select apps and share the links to them (I edit all my posts from a phone) but whatever floats your boat

Issues with Sony Smart Watch 2 - Pebble does it better

Hi All
Just for my Sony Smart Watch 2 yesterday and feeling a little underwhelmed
I also have a Pebble which I feel at the moment is better.
Two things:
1. I cannot get the Sony to stay in control of Google Play music when its playing. It will do the volume but then when you go to forward a track it defaults to the Walkman app and starts that and plays the demo tracks. I have tried disabling the Walkman app but then the app on the watch just crashes.
2. The second and less important thing is Facebook integration. On the Pebble it will deal with two Facebook accounts being run on the phone. One in the Facebook app and the other Facebook Messenger. Both running different accounts. The Sony seems to only recognize the actual Facebook app.
Anyone have a solution to these?
Oh I just thought of a third, lack of watch faces! And especially watch faces giving a lot of information. The Pebble face I use has time, weather and phone battery status...
Well theres my rant!

How are you even controlling media from the watch at all? The media player app is missing in the Android app store at the moment. However, even on the Smartwatch 1 I believe the Sony official app was locked to the default media player on your device. Most brands of phone have their own take on the music player, such as Sony's Walkman app. The volume control is not related to the app as its the master output volume. But the track changes will be sent to a specific app, not the one that's currently playing music.

Now, there is an upgrade of Music Player Extras by Sony that allow to control Google Play Music correctly. You can set volume, play/pause song, go to next or prev song; but u can't see Artist or Title of the song from the smartwatch.

That's an improvement. Shame about no song details. Thanks for the heads up

Yeah I spotted it last night. I have an HTC phone and before yesterday night, there was no music player at all for the smartwatch 2 hence my previous comment. I have it now.

I too have an HTC phone (One - M7) and the Smartwatch 2. This Music Extras is the only one that work properly with Play Music until now.

It controls your music app, play, pause etc but it doesn't allows you to go through your library to search for your song. Maybe its a limitation of the app or because the screen is too small, hence they don't include that ability. It is compatible to our note 2.

I know only one app wich can browse library (Artist, Album, Song) SWP for smartwatch and it has his own built in player.

The PowerAmp-App for the Smartwatch 2 can do all this and more (in combination with PowerAmp installed on your Phone).

For $100 it's an awesome gadget. Compared to the smartwatches out right now it is a best-of-all-worlds device.
- Color touch screen.
- Perfectly visible in direct sunlight.
- Always-on watch face.
- Fully customizable watch faces.
- 3-4 day battery life.
- Non-proprietary charger.
- Water resistant.
- Compatible with any standard 24mm watchband.
- Large selection of apps in the app store.
- No hard limit on number of apps and watch faces you can have (unlike 4 or 8 limit with pebble).
- With the right apps, can forward any and all notifications from your phone.
- Can also display most widgets from your phone on your watch using remote widget app.
The only downsides depending on your point of view:
- Shorter battery life than pebble, still longer than almost any other smart watch
- No microphone or speaker
- Support may wane now that android wear is out, but so far holding steady
I got one for Christmas, and broke it two weeks ago. I went less than a week before buying another one, I liked it that much. Conversely, I had a pebble steel for three days and returned it.

Hi there, I have just been given the new Smartwatch 3 by my lovely girlfriend.
I've had a few days to play and am glad to say i love it but there were some changes i did need to make to make it more useful.
So far what I've found to be the most useful and what turns this watch great is:
Swipify - App Drawer, makes getting to you installed apps easier and has customization to a point
App manager for wear - As it says, sticks all the wear enabled apps together so it is easier to find and manage
Yatse - XBMC remote, This still needs your phone as the middle man but it is fast and responsive and puts all you need to control XBMC from your wrist
These are just a few that I've been playing with, love the XBMC remote and will be trying unified remote when I get round to purchasing.
I think I will have to learn to write apps too as there are so many possibilities with the internet of things heating up .

Have you tried out KIWI yet you can use hand gestures to activate functions even integrating with tasker, next version they will have cusom motion.
