I successfully pushed my application to watch. I made a couple changes to my code and received this error. Thinking that was the problem, I reverted my changes and still received this error. Restarted the IDE, same error. Pushed the the emulator, same error. Build instead of using Smart Launch, same error. Uninstall and re-install the SDK, same error.
While not fixing the issue, I am able to push applications to the emulator and physical device after creating a new workspace.
Hi jonman364. Your post solved my very same issue:
Errors occurred during the build.
Errors running builder 'Web Widget Builder' on project 'newtest'.
java.lang.NullPointerException
Thanks.

I could use some help resolving these errors in my java code. I am developing this simple app based off a free class available online and I am not sure why eclipse was intially requesting for me to to define "R" and using the "quick fix" tool which created an "R" resource has not resolved this issue along wth the other errors present. I attached my code and error messages. Please help this beginner learn a new skill!!

There are two dots after the R. Remove one of them.

Thanks I missed that but it still didnt fix my problems. Eclipse continues to tell me that "R" and "layout" both have no value even after using some quick fixes. Are there any resources or build paths you use that I am missing?

Thanks for the suggestions but I believe my xml is fine and the clean function doesn't resolve it either. Are there any resources you would suggest that I might be missing?
Write findViewById with a lowercase f.
And maybe you need to import your R class (not android.R).
Installed Scott Harts 11/22/2013 4.4 image - Unofficial CM-11.0 - Release 5 - 11/22/2013 -
Been having a few problems - appreciate any suggestions to fix if there is one , since the ROM is still in development.
a) I start Google calendar, it wants Google credentials(Make it Google, existing ), I sign in, followed by a message "Couldn't sign in" There was a problem communicating with Google servers. Try again later. This started happening some time in 4.3 so the problem is perhaps in my account or some other data ? I did a factory reset several times but it does not seem to help.
b) Processes randomly die with "unfortunately <process> has stopped". The dead process can range from Google+ to Launcher3 at whch point i have to reimage the phone.
Appending some logged exceptions in the hope that it is useful

So,
I've been developing applications for a while and today went I went on to compile one of my projects, my APK kept getting corrupted.
This has only started doing this recently and I haven't done anything to Eclipse or the Android SDK.
This is not something to do with my Android Device nor my code.
Anyone got an idea?
here's a problem
i dont know about your android version
if your android version is below 4.2.2 sometimes in case it shows parse error
if it not you didnt properly compiled the apk file
hit thanks if i helped:good:
There are three possible answers.
One - Your device's Android SDK level is too old. (App requires new Android version).
Two - Your app contains manifest errors. (Highly unlikely).
Three - You did not sign your application. (This is very likely).

Hi guys,
At one point I was running Cyanogenmod, and had enabled WhisperPush without knowing how to use it. That installation is long gone, and I now have another phone, not running CM. I'd like to use TextSecure now - but when registering, it tells me that I need to unregister. Full message:
"Registration conflict"
"This numer is already registered on a different TextSecure server (CyanogenMod?). You must unregister there before registering here."
How on earth do I do that? As stated - I do not have access to the CM installation with the required XML file (with which I could do some magic via ADB).
Some people on the internetz refer to a Ruby script on https://github.com/daveio/whisperpush-unregister - but this yields nothing but Ruby errors (looks like code errors).
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

MOD: Please delete my post. I didnt RTFM. (wrong Ruby version)
Hello. I'm "slightly" out of my depth here, unfortunately. The aforementioned app (Chess Tactics Pro) suddenly became "incompatible with my device" and so unavailable in play store, I therefore had to extract the apk file from another phone. In fact, I tried 3 different versions of this app. It installs alright and works to some extent, only when I want to use computer analysis function, it crashes. The crash report reads:

The phone: vayu (Poco X3 Pro), stock rom, rooted with magisk. On another vayu with the same system (MIUI 11.5), unrooted, it works fine, as it does on 2 other phones with lineageos, both rooted, Android 10 and 11 respectively, and still available in play store. What am I missing? Do you have any ideas what I can try? What does the crash report say? Let me add that the app folder contains like 5 .apk files out of which I only installed base.apk . What are the other apks for? I hope someone can help me with this.
IMO the correct method to get the very reason why an app crashes is to do a LOGCAT.
Thanks. I'll look into it but for now I'm rather busy so it'll have to wait a bit.
It seems that a shared library file, liblrengine.so, is missing.
I appreciate your input but can't check if it works right now as in the meantime I've switched to LineageOS, used SAI to move the whole split package from another phone, but it doesn't work either, complaining that google play store might not be installed or sth to this effect. Anyway, I must install Android Studio and learn how to use logcat, cause other apps also give me problems.
Solved for now. Back to MIUI as LineageOS+MindTheGapps combo misses some dependencies apparently, so the app backed up by SAI wouldn't work there but it works fine in MIUI.
