I'm NEW to XDA website & this is my first participation, I'm seeking HELP .
I'm facing a problem with my phone it's samsung galaxy s3
Recently, my friend Gave it to me and the system was at&t i gave the phone to a friend to unlock the phone but i don't now how he gave me the phone back with a Different carrier T-Mobile (T999). no network , no IMEI , no Serial number.
help me please!!!

I got my Infuse couple of months back when I was in US. My Infuse runs on CyanogenMod 7, I have unlocked it using the method described here on XDA-Developers, I got the Unlock code from the text file (using the Hex-editor), When I was in US I unlocked it and used a T-Mobile sim. It worked perfect. But When I came back to India I tried to use my local carrier, but I get a Signal and carrier name but the Signal is blacked out (with a small cross on the signal symbol.), I do not understand the problem and have no Clue how to use my beloved infuse in India.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Many thanks for your reply.. Appreciate it.. As per your suggestoion I have checked the IMIE no and it matched with the no on the back of the Phone,
Now how do I "Flash Different Modem"???
Please do help me. I wanna unlock this at any cost.

hello , i am asking if there is a way to sim unlock for galaxy s4 US cellular sch r-970 ? and how can i do it ? iam from egypt and brought samsung galaxy s4 us cellular sch r-970 from US and its refuses my sim how can i solve this problem ?

Hey mate!
Many people have this sort of issue when they purchase devices overseas.
You can try and find a reliable online unlocking service for your device (I have personally never done it online so I don't know any - Remember research on the site before paying them, there's lots of scam sites).
Most appropriate one would be a local store. A place that deals with smartphone's and ask then to service unlock your phone.

i was wondering if you all could give me some tips or aid
i got a samsung galaxy s4 gt-I9505 stock so no roots on it with android 4.4.2
now i did got some problems with it i changed my antenna cable and my front display and from that on i cant connect to my provider or place a phone call
after looking at my phone and some guides on inet i found that it could be my imei number and when i was looking at it it stated null so now after some reading
i got dfs tools and tested a few things on my s4 only im still not able to gain my spc code and my diag password
hope you guys could tell me what to do or guide me to the right tools/programs

I just upgraded my Note 2 with DN4. All went well and it is an amazing experience, I would say. Thanks to team Elecctron. Before I upgraded to DN4 I had rooted my note 2 with TWRP. After that I am facing issue of Insert SIM, Baseband Unknown and IMEI unknown.
I am sure that TWRP has created this problem, but now I am not able to recover my phone to connect to network. Please request your help to sort this issue.

Hello guys i'm new here and did look for my problem but didn't find much
i brought a galaxy S5 sprint G900P the guy that sold it to me told me it was a non-contract phone
i check the imei back then and it was clean even though i coudn't activate it.
...still i used SSU to unlock the sim on 4.4.2
i wanted today to update to the 5.0 version i checked the imei again just by luck and i found it fraudlent and activation blocked --
my question is can i update to 5.0 will it be okey or will it get blocked and will i be able to use the sim with ssu or Galaxt Tools.
i live outside the US.
