[Q][SERAPHIC SEASON 6] How to remove bottom bar? - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hi everyone,
I really like this Seraphic Rom and it runs really well, however this bottom bar with navigation buttons is pointless since the phone has hardware buttons, and I can´t seem to find an option to disable it.
Anyone know how to remove this bar?
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Hide System Bar on ICS?

Is there a way to hide the system bar?
maybe something like THIS?
+1
Love this idea
Try the link below for the apk........... i havent tried it on ics yet
was just going to post up as an attachment but its not frickin working on the ics browser
http://ppareit.github.com/HideBar/
it is not working for me
me either - sorry guys
From what I understand, Google pretty much locked it out completely, so it's impossible at the moment to hide the status bar. It's really annoying. :/
From the author of Honeybar: "*** Important note for ICS users: Honeybar is unsupported on ICS and will not hide the UI bar. I have examined the source for ActivityManagerService and it currently appears impossible to stop com.android.systemui"

Damn that sucks. I hope Google changes their mind or someone finds a way around this problem. I find it extremely irritating to use video and reading apps with the system bar at the bottom.
I guess I will stick with Android 3.2 for now.
There's a tweak for the Galaxy Nexus that remove the bottom bar entirely, and the person who posted it says to use ButtonSavior (on the market) to replace the soft keys. The newest AOKP rom also includes a feature to remove the navigation bar which I assume is pretty much the same as the bar on tablets.
The mod is over on RootzWiki, not sure if I can post links to it, or if it will work for the TF or could be adapted for it.
See, it's things like this that make me wonder. Why in the world would google, or anyone, lock things down so much that nobody can change anything? Disabling the status bar in honeycomb didn't do any harm. I never heard a single complaint of a bricked tablet or software problem because of disabling the status bar.
Yes!!!
Team EOS has the option the hide the system bar in an easy to use manner.
Where?

Where? Searched for "status" "system" "bar" "hide" in varying combinations as well as individually. Could you point me in the right direction. TIA.
From looking around the framework-res etc what i have seen that ICS is based on a theme called holo. Now if we could modify the framework-res and strip the black and make it transparent it should be able to be done. Decompiling it has been no problem however I am too new at themeing to provide any definite answers to recompile framework-res as i have tried but it just will not register as a proper apk. There is one issue with that however, the holo theme is involved with almost everything to do with the system. Example backgrounds for the menu system and the onscreen keyboard and a pile of other stuff plus the assorted icons would still be present back button home apps button clock and wifi.
All the edits were because my cursor diappeared.

It's part of the ROM. They don't appear to have a separate app to hide the system bar, so we have to use the full rom for now. It works the same way pre-ICS Revolver did.
Couldn't find anything on Team EOS tread about it.

With EOS for TF101 you press the power button to get the menu option to hide the status bar. The menu is shown in baseballfanz's post.

This works perfect on my A500 running ICS 4.0.3 rooted using live wallpaper - no issues whatsoever, thanks for the tip! Also really liked the gestures part of the whole thing as I can make apps launch from anywhere and probably won't even use the status bar much at from now on.

That's a solution but unfortunately that's not cutsomisable as we can found in ICS or JB custom roms.
As for me, I'm very interested with one navbar with search and power buttons, plus the possibility to change the bar height.

thx mister
there is no need to do so many changes in build.prop and what not. simply Install gravitybox in xposed framework(and ofcourse reboot your phone after enabling it). goto navigation bar tweaks, enable master settings. all other settings are pretty straightforward.
For aligning it, goto ''gravitybox ->navigation bar tweaks->custom settings'' and enable softkeys. play with these settings for a while till you end up with what you want, Bcoz i did .
And yes, before you ask, disabling hardware buttons is still not supported in gravitybox, so you'll have to do it the hard way. personally, i feel more is good.

[Q] How to navigate with no navbar???

So I downloaded the No Navbar mod for the Rage HD rom and flashed it and it worked... there's no navbar, increasing my screen size. But there's a *tiny* problem..... NOW THERE'S NO WAY TO GO BACK/HOME!?!?! People in the comments were praising the mod yet how am I supposed to use my phone without a home or back button??? There has to be something in the settings, right?? Any help would be much appreciated! Obviously I knew that the buttons would be 'gone' but I figured they would be in the status bar or would pop up when you swipe up or something.

You could try using "Pie Control" from the play store while you figure out how to get the actual XDA Pie Controls working.

[REQUEST] Smaller nav bar with nav buttons

Good day!
Guys, could someone, please, make a mod for LOLLIPOP - 50% smaller nav bar with smaller buttons and, if it possible, to change position of "Back" and "Recent" buttons ? I will provide all necessary files fast!
Thank you.

@slonn
Xposed isn't working on 5.0.2, at least, it cannot be installed without recovery.
I'll do one mod today...
I won't build mod that will replace icons position but will reduce size of nav bar icons.
Size is few mins job but replacing icon position is something else.
I just don't have time to do something like that (you want something similar we have on Samsung (Note 4, for example), right?)
The other problem is : I'm not sure it would even work without patched services.jar so I won't do that today...
As I said...
I'll release smaller navigation bar MOD today (stock icons)
That should work on stock services.jar
And if I find time (and testing shows it could work in odexed, stock firmware, without superuser MOD), I'll build few custom MODs.
(with KK icons, maybe even "Xperia" icons (if I find one of my old themes for Z2)
This isn't right place to post requests, Mike could you move this thread to Q&A

Do you know the height in dip or I have to guess? [emoji14] The default is 48dip and that one was 42dip, let me know and I'll make it in a minute...
Then I'll ask you about the navbar which I already modified in different ways using the work of Rajeev [emoji6]

This is a problem in the SystemUI have you modified it or it's still stock?
Wich configuration do you prefer for the buttons? I made also a systemui like this one ( in this case i should fix the size of the power button with your very small navbar )

Autohide status bar in every application

Is it possible to ensure that the StatusBar can hide automatically and then be recalled with a swype from top to bottom? For example, I installed the launcher Agama (very nice) and on the launcher this function is active... I find the status bar rather useless, and especially on some apps, like Google Maps, is very annoying.
@Malaysk, can you enable this function in your next rom?
How did you get on finding a solution.
This solution worked for me on my PX5

sorry, I did not understand, you have applied this change via xposed and not via terminal? because I still have a small problem, the status bar does not disappear when I have the screen divided in two ... and it is rather annoying
Someone can help me? I need to autohide the status bar when the display is divided in 2
