[PROBLEM] Abnormal drain battery from "Android OS" process (38R) - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everybody!
Do someone noticed this abnormal drain battery from"Android OS" process ("Sistema Android" in this screenshot) after this 38R update?
I already fixed the "Google Services" issue (this way: Privacy Guard -> Privacy Guard settings -> include system app -> find Google Service and long tap on it -> deny authorization for "awake" and "keep wake"), but this Android OS still drain a lot of battery than the 33R

Wifi/Android System/ Android OS problems.

Hi, I need help on this. It has been days since my battery has gone haywire and I don't know what happened. I just saw that my WIFI isn't turning off even though i toggled itoff in settings/quick settings. I thought maybe a simple reboot may fix it but no. I came from CO12 to Exodus to Bliss but all have the same problems. Wifi isn't turning off! All my settings are stock. Kernels are stock also. I'm getting an average battery life of 3 1/2 hrs SOT which is awful for my usage. Also AndroidSystem and OS is killing my battery but I disabled Google PlayServices which should help. My only concern is the Wifi not turning off. Pls help thanks

Hi.
I use this app wich does only cut on and off the network: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.aDataOnOff&hl=en
(you can also apply a screen filter to help stop battery drain)
But I doubt its your only problem... I tested with and without the app, and the difference is almost not visible. Also, my wifi (when app off) is in third place on battery usage, and I have at least a good 5-6 SOT..

Some people say that it is a common bug in Android 5.0. Can anyone confirm?

The known bug with wifi is not battery drain but the difficulty to connect, to link the network.

Apparently my accelerometer and light is keeping my phone awake, it's in Android system.

Go to settings => Privacy Guard => Three dot menu => Advanced => Look for Android System => Deny Keep Wake, Location and Wake up permissions.. Doesn't harm your system anyway.

Actually it does, now I can't unlock my phone when pressing the power button and I have to restart it every time I want to use it.

location accuracy dialog

Hi there. My first thread here ... feel a little nervous.
I've got a question for you: if I activate my GPS there comes this dialog "improve my location accuracy (or something like that)". I checked, by accident, the checkbox "don't ask me again" and now I always get my location for all sources (WLAN, mobile cell, GPS). How can I retract this setting? I want to be able to choose my type of location finding again. Thanks a lot in advance.
Device: Google Nexus 5 (of course)
OS: Android Marshmellow (Stock ROM)

Thanks for this, but not what I meant.
When I have location disabled and I enable it ... there is this dialog. If you check the box it default enables all sources (WLAN, mobile cell, GPS). The dialog gives me the chance to choose from "just device GPS" or "all sources WLAN, mobile cell, GPS".
You have those options in Settings -> location -> mode:

The setting resets to high accuracy when location is turned off and on again. How to reset this dialog. One solution is to clear data of Google play services. How do I do this without clearing data?

Clearing data is the only way to do it. Or you have to manually switch the mode each time you turn it in..

OnePlus One (Kitkat 11S50Q) Battery Drain

Hi I am running fully stock (50Q) Kitkat on my Oneplus One. I need some help figuring out how to stop my battery drain happening from Google Services/Google Play Services. I have already have went into privacy guard in app ops and went into Google play services and denied (Wake Up) and (Keep awake) but Google Play Services/Google Services is still showing up at the top of my battery usage. If anyone knows a fix that would be great.

You can uninstall it to factory version and let Google update it for you once again >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms
If you need further assistance, please share some statistics screenshots using battery monitoring apps like GSam >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm

Wifi taking up too much battery

Since my upload to MM, battery timing has been troublesome. I've reset network settings multiple times. Screen on time is sometimes less than 3 hours. Sometimes above 5 hours. I love this phone but this battery problem with the update is driving me crazy.
Should I factory reset my phone? What would that entail?

If you are on Stock, i would try two Factory Resets in series. One direktly in Android and after booting up the next one through recovery.
I recently posted on this subject:
Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep: Never.
Settings > Location > three dots (top right) > Wi-Fi scanning: Can be on or off
Viber > General > Wi-Fi sleep policy > Use device's settings
In my experience with Stock ROMs, this issue (Wi-Fi always active in Battery Stats even though sleep policy is set to: Never) is caused by an installed app.
Viber has a setting in General > Wi-Fi sleep policy.
Not every app will have such an option, but check. All you can do if the issue persists is to clean install ROM and one by one start adding your apps to see when the problem reoccurs.
There may be apps (or an xposed module) that will allow you to stop apps changing the Wi-Fi sleep policy. I've not done any research on the topic.
Wi-Fi Scanning can be enabled or disabled and does not have an affect.
