Yeah, I had this kind of issue with st21i, but the firmware is identified as st21i2 (dual) instead. Even pc companion- repair detect it as dual. So I rooted it and put cwm, then put paradox, finally using pc companion-repair to make it stock single again.

5. select flashmode in SE Bootloader

9. flash your phone
10. finish
I have an Xperia E (Single Sim).
I have unlocked the bootloader using the official Sony method and, as it seems, like many before me, my phone is stuck in a bootloop.
I have tried the solution noted here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40911422 by bg.shishir
Unfortunately when I run flashtool the following is the outcome

I'm guessing it might be something to do with USB debugging being off, but because it is stuck in a bootloop I can't get into the phone to change that.
Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated, as my phone is effectively bricked! I just want to get it working again - nothing more.
Xperia factory reset method
Update - I have got it working again!!! Woohoo.
Now you custom ROM peeps won't like this fix - but for the likes of me who just got real scared thinking my phone was bricked, its exactly what I wanted.
This fix takes you back to the original ROM. I'd seen someone else mention it, but didn't understand the post. So, if you come across this one and you are like me.... (well, let's hope you're not, but hey!)... then this is what you do:
1) Download and install the official Sony PC Companion.
2) Click on the Support Zone button
3) Click on Software update
4) The next screen has a repair my phone link (not the button on the bottom - read the everything on the screen and you should find it)
5) click here and follow the instructions
I'm presuming that this has just created the standard ROM on my phone, but its working like it should.
I got so stressed over this, so if you need anything explaining above, just post a message and I'll try to help.

I own Xperia L C2104 with a build no. and had android version 4.2.2
So, here is what happened.
i got fascinated with rooting and bootloader unlocking stuff, so i rooted my phone successfully and everything was fine after rooting and then i decided to unlock my bootloader. I officially got the key from sony and followed the procedure. after i did that my phone stuck in the bootloop so i tried recovering my phone to last state using CWM recovery that i backed up before unlocking bootloader but it was not successful it said "failed to format system......." something like that.
After that my phone would not go past the sony screen on bootup. It goes in flash mode and fastboot mode when connected to PC. and when in off position i try to charge it, red led glows for abt 5 sec i.e. untill the phone boots and the sony screen appears..............
So please guys help me..............
my phone is in warranty but i think i have voided it by doing those above stuffs................
just reflash the stock firmware.

You should be able to flash C2015 firmware on C2104 XL .
Check the USB cable. and make sure you have the latest flashtool with the drivers installed. Then try flashing and let me know if it worked!

finally solved my problem................thanks every1
the main problem was that i was flashing the wrong stock rom which i downloaded from https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B16r...ny i.e. by using unlock key provided by them?
You should be having your DRM keys back by now. Which means that you can update from Sony directly. I dont know about the service center. I have never tried that. You must be able to reclaim the warranty though! have a nice day.
i have unlocked bootloader via official method. then got into bootloop. then when i try to flash the stock rom it is not able to flash it.. got stuck at checking header...... pls help me...

Your bootloader is unlocked now.
Also, you have not installed the flashtool drivers. Your log says this
Install the drivers and try again.
Hit thanks if it helped.

What is it that you can only read but not write??
Hi, I had that problem you have to do is flash a custom kernel via fastboot. I do recommend phonix kernel, with that you get into recovery and do a factory reset, so your phone ripped again.
Tell me something, even the team the green LED illuminates when connected in flash mode? If not, I do not think you can re-flash tft to return it to its original mode, at least that happened to me. The other thing that happened to me is that the baseband was changed and now I can not connect to 3G when you start reviewing it.

Hello, I've tried posting my problem elsewhere on xda without response so I'll give it a try in here. My phone shows the sony logo then reboots infinitely after rooting it and I searched everywhere for a solution but all I could do is get this message on flashtool:
06/056/2015 17:56:00 - INFO - Loader : S1_Root_2f8b - Version : MT6582_15 / Boot version : S1_Boot_MT6582_TC9SP_11 / Bootloader status : ROOTED
06/056/2015 17:56:00 - INFO - Transfer buffer size : 262144
06/056/2015 17:56:01 - INFO - You must have the according fsc script to flash this device.
06/056/2015 17:56:01 - INFO - Flashing finished.
06/056/2015 17:56:01 - INFO - Please unplug and start your phone
06/056/2015 17:56:01 - INFO - For flashtool, Unknown Sources and Debugging must be checked in phone settings
It should be a driver problem but I have already installed adb drivers, specific drivers for e4 from sony website and flashtool, fastboot and jdm drivers from flashtool. I also tried switching usb ports and trying on other computers with the same results., and I'm 100% sure unknown sources and debug mode were checked last time the phone was in working condition.
Am I missing something here? Please help, thank you.
Tried installing all drivers from flashtool driver folder as well, still nothing. I dunno if it's relevant but the device is recognized as somc flash device in device manager. I'm using flashtool 0.9.19.0 as I read somewhere it works better for the e4 dual (even if it doesn't for me) and the latest version gives an IO exception error.
Any expert who can help me with the problem?
