My CS918 Q7 has 8gb internal storage but its split as 2gb and 6gb.
this is causing me issues downloading larger apps and if i move apps to the 6gb partition then the shortcuts on the homescreen disappear after each boot and some just fail to work unless installed on the 2gb partition
wondering if the is a way to remove the partition and just have one 8gb internal storage?
the is a custom firmware (Wassers rom) that does this but unfortunately this firmware doesnt support my wifi/bluetooth.

I have the LG Volt that comes with 8GB of internal storage but 4GB of it is allocated to emulated SD. 3GB of it is used by data from apps instead of my SD card. Im low on space and was wondering if moving the files to SD and removing emulated storage is possible. Im using Kingroot for root access if its needed.
Hi guys. I just need a quick help. I flashed lineage os 14.1 on my xperia L. Everything is fine but storage. So xperia L has 8 GB internal storage. But after i flashed there is only 3.27 gb internal storage. And there is a portable storage name sdcard0 but it is not an sd card. It is like internal storage is devided. 3.27 gb is usable as internal storage, 4gb "sdcard0" cannot be used for installing apps, also apps like instagram load cache to sdcard0 and i can't wipe it. So help me merge those together and be able to use my 8gb internal storage please!
(Other SD CARD is an actual sd cart

first note that Xperia L has just 4GB of internal storage + 1.3GB system + 1.6GB data partition + 500MB cache +etc ( = 8GB in total).
then try clean installing the latest nightly version again to check if gets fixed. if it doesn't help, backup all of your files in internal sdcard and format it in recovery to check if that extra partition gets disappeared.

Actually flashing stock os didn't fixed either. Sony is DUMB. 4gb internal storage can be used for apps but other 4gb can only be used for data (.obb files, media files, everything but not app). It is like phone has an extra internal sd card in it. When i install large games like 1.5 gb, 30-40 mb gets located in first 4gb part, and the rest is stored in other internal but external-ish sd card. Simply, phuck sony.
OK, I don't know the proper terminology but hopefully you can follow my description below.
Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge (SM-J327P Boost Mobile) Phone
Android v6.0.1
Unmodified, unrooted because no one knows how to root this phone.
Phone has (had) 16GB SD Memory card installed. 8GB is "partitioned" as "Fake Internal Memory", 8GB as "USB Storage Memory". I used up the 8GB Fake Internal Memory. I bought a 32GB SD Card (came preformatted as one 32FAT partition with 64K sector clusters!). I unmounted the 16GB SD Card made copy of the contents to the new 32GB SD Card. Installed the new 32GB SD Card into the phone. Turned the phone on and it worked fine. All the apps stored in Fake Internal Memory work as well as the files on the USB Storage Memory. However the Fake Internal Memory was only 8GB, the same size as it was on the 16GB SD Card! The USB Storage Memory had increased from 8GB to 24GB. The whole reason I got the 32GB SD Card was to increase the size of the Fake Internal Memory not the USB Storage Memory.
So my question is: Is there anyway to increase the size (partition?) of the Fake Internal Memory by stealing some from the USB Storage Memory? Remember the phone can't be rooted.
Note: I removed the working 32GB SD Card (tried both mounted and unmounted) from the phone and put in the computer's USB port but the entire SD Card was one 32FAT partition. So the partition programs I have on the computer wouldn't work on it. Apparently the .android_secure file contains the Fake Internal Memory apps and are not stored in it's own partition.

If it's got 2 partitions on it then any decent partitioning tool should be able to recognise and expand/reduce the size of the partitions.
It's irrelevant what files are stored where as the partitioning program is dealing with blocks of memory not files.
Mini partition tool should be able to deal with this or something like paragon partition manager or Easus partition master.
I don't know how to fix it but here is a root guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/guide-painless-root-samsung-j3-emerge-t3573551
Can someone help? After 5gb my Lenovo tablet's memory is full but it says there are 96gb at all.
I set up my memory card as adoptable storage. After downloading 5gb of a test file I am getting an out of memory error. What is wrong here? The Lenovo tab4 8 plus has 64gb internal memory, so it should all work fine with a 32 GB SD card inside as adoptable storage...
The card itself seems to contain data but the system is not touching the internal memory. So if downloading a test file the SD card will be filled up to the limit where there's still space on the internal memory.

Maybe android doesn't check file sizes before assigning download locations, I haven't had any issues with this feature.
Btw https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3619346 don't ask questions here.
