Hi, i want to know how to delete apps permission
Thanks
As far as I know this is not possible in standard Android.
Google did have an attempt at this with AppOpps, on 4.2 but removed it in current Android.
There are Apps on google play that claim to be able to do what you want.
One I know of is called PrivacyShield, search on play store for it.
Regards, Euphoric
i will test it, thanks
The most complete solutions I know for this purpose are XPrivacy (I prefer) and DonkeyGuard from PlayStore. Also you should consider using MinMinGuard X-Posed module. Your device should be rooted.
With AppOps you can not block permission to apps to read IMEI / device serial.

And what do you think about the "reintegration" of AppOps in CM ROMs?
worth trying or not secure enough?

Atm I also use a CM-based ROM with CM Privacy Guard (which is nice indeed and easy to use) but personally I prefer XPrivacy, because with CM Privacy Guard it's also not possible to hide IMEI / serial (Android, device) from apps. Depends if you mind / don't mind to give apps a possibility to connect collected data to a unique ID which belongs to your device. I don't want that. But if you don't mind because there is only few data the app can collect while it's restricted CM PG will be allright.

Your Options are:
AppOps
Xposed Framework+Addons
Other Third Party Apps.
I would consider the Xposed way, was the best for me.
what about Minminguard??

This is just an Ad-Blocker. It's nice, use it myself, but you can't compare it to privacy solutions.

I'm pretty new on developing stuff, but i know there are permissions that look "more than necessary" but actually some libraries need it. For example Google Maps V2 will require External access storage, and one app like mine with few downloads will look kind of suspicious (GMaps will cache their maps in there and will crash without any solution). Some image downloader libraries also require this for cache and so forth. Android permissions are declared in the Manifest file and can't change.
Any way, of course there are a LOT of harmful apps, but you mostly can tell if they look dangerous but I'll try this to check apps behavior.
Search for "permission manager" in play store. Its pretty nice!
BTW my miui has built in permission manager like that

Permission manager (PlayStore) = AppOps.
The LBE Security Guard built in in MIUI is very nice - but it, as well as AppOps and CM11 PG, still can't hide device serial every app from PlayStore requests. I think this is done by Google, not the app(s) itself. See picture below. [Gerät = device]

Edit: If you have installed a lot of apps (like me... >300) it will take you a loooong time to set permissions in AppOps, because you have to do it manually for every single app. In CM Privacy Guard you'll get pop-up windows for requests so it's much easier to use. First thing to do on CM-based ROMs after a clean install is to enable Privacy Guard (Settings->Privacy) before installing any app. Else you'll have to enable it for every app manually. XPrivacy and DonkeyGuard use pop-up windows as well. For XPrivacy: after a fresh ROM installation first thing to do is download and activate X-Posed, install XPrivacy, enable it in X-Posed and reboot.

I'm not sure what you mean with fixed. Maybe MIUI v6 can block all requests for serials, but I do not own a device that can run v6 to try myself (MIUI for flo does not include permission manager yet). For MIUI v5 I can say for sure that it won't block every request for serial. You can check yourself: if every single app you installed is listed for enable/disable serial then it's fixed. If not, but only some apps are listed, the serial will be obtained, at least for those apps not listed.
Edit: For those who like to use XPrivacy in MIUI - you have to disable built in (LBE) permission manager before, else you'll get stuck on boot(loop). You don't have to disable root in permissions app, but only the upper one for the apps permissions.

I mean its unable to block getting serial...
I used v6 and i also think that it cant block getting serial too
Sadly. The main reason for using MIUI for a long time was the built in permission manager until I found out that it is not really a complete solution which won't give you full control over permissions. I really hope this will change to the better, because I really like the way permissions are handled in MIUI.
Edit: @henry0504: Maybe you should take a look at this thread:

Based on the News that google has removed Ad blocking apps from the play store I figured I'd throw this up so people still can get this great application.
I don't know about the other Ad blocking apps but AdAway has been my favorite for a long time.
Please go to the Developer's Site where you can donate, get the source, and find other ways of installing. It is available from F-Droid but I didn't want to install that just for this. Plus as of today the lastest version on F-droid and what was last in the Google play store was v2.2. I've compiled from source so this is version 2.3 (latest in source). You can look at the source or the app itself for the changelog.

Re: [APP] [UNOFFICIAL] AdAway v2.3
For those who already have play store one installed, this one won't install over. Application signature doesn't match. Not that hard to solve. Just uninstall the old one and install this one.
EDIT: Now it installed over when I updated from version 2.1... Weird. Also it didn't detect root when I clean installed. I think my phone is just being weird.

That's what I did. I uploaded a good and working app. Ad free isn't open source so I can't build it's latest version. Clearly you don't understand that. If you want adfree go download it somewhere else as this thread is just for adaway.
Thanks a lot! I had no idea this had been removed from the play store.

Both those work for me but posting issues here won't help the dev fix them if they are confirmed issues (maybe just for your device). I've added to the OP where the developer wants issues to be filed. Check there for anyone else having your issues.

Is NFC file transfer is working on this ROM..? Because I tried file transfer with my friend Note2....its not working.
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda app-developers app
Guys,
I installed Wanam 1.2 last night, phone started OK, configured it, charged overnight, connected this morning to work WiFi (it's a hidden SSID), used it all day without issues.
I just restarted the phone in the afternoon and noticed that my 2 WiFi networks that I had already stored (home & work) have dissapeared. So, I configured the work WiFi (which is hidden and must be added mannually) but it never connects. I already restarted the access point but no luck.
Waiting to arrive home and see if I can connect the phone to home WiFi (which is not hidden), then restart phone and see if it 'remembers' the settings.
Any one else having this issue?
Thanks.

Wrong.

The only thing that was removed it's NFC payment.
Why? the deodexed version did FC's so to avoid any useless FC's, wanam decided to remove this feature that i can bet nobody is using (for now at least)

Hi,
I've developed a widget to toggle airplane mode on Android 5.0/5.1 (Lollipop), Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), and Android 7.0/7.1 (Nougat). It requires root.
This is an xda-exclusive free version! If you want to support me, please consider getting the paid version on Google Play or check out my other apps.
Please note: Redistribution of this app is not allowed!
Paid version on Google Play (more functionality): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cygery.toggleairplane
Device compatibility: second post
This free version only includes the widget. The paid version on Google Play additionally includes a Locale/Tasker compatible plugin and support for shortcuts.
If you need similar functionality for previous Android versions check out Toggle Cell Radio 5.0 which allows you to toggle just the cell radio on and off without changing airplane mode.
Device Support
Device support depends on a variety of factors, including your specific device model, Android version, installed (custom) ROM, used root provider (su binary), and SELinux configuration. This app includes options to deal with different configurations of some of those factors. Please let me know if this app does not work on your device.
Notes
The widget is passive. Thus, it has to request root every time it is refreshed. Although the battery impact is negligible, this usually results in frequent (Toast) messages indicating that the app was granted root rights. Please refer to your superuser management app if you'd like to disable those messages specifically for this app.
Other issues: When reporting any issues please include the following info in your post: Device, ROM and ROM version, exact version number of this app you use (don't just write "latest"), superuser management app (e.g., SuperSU) and version, content of any shown error messages. Describe in detail what you tried to do, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. Include screenshots/screencasts where possible and useful to show the issue.
Cheers,
cygery

PS: Similar to my other new widgets, I believe that this is the only app/widget which allows to toggle airplane mode on Android 5.0. Please correct me if this is wrong.

"Secure Settings" is also able to do this (with the latest SuperSU).
Apart from that: Good work! But why don't you put all your toggle apps into one tool?

Thanks for the info. Does this also work on Android 5.0?
In hindsight it'd be indeed better to combine them. However, during development this idea came up after the second widget was done and now I think it's too late to combine them (especially thinking about everyone who bought them on Google Play).

Yes. I'm using it ATM on my Nexus 5.
I've uploaded an update (1.3.2.0) with small fixes and improvements.
There shouldn't be any issues with this app on Android 5.1, however, if anybody experiences issues please post.

Running Carbon Rom 4.4.4, rooted (of course:good
SuperSU is installed, and "Toggle Airplane 5.0" is Granted access.
I can run the "service" command from terminal emulator, and it works.

Can you try another ROM or stock ROM?
I'll try another ROM, and let you know. Is there one that you know of that does work for the N4?

No, but it's rather an exception when it doesn't work (I only had one other user with this issue so far but I don't recall which custom ROM he used).
I've uploaded a new version (v1.3.3.0) which adds support for Android 6.0 and some small fixes and improvements.

Happy New Year for all at first
I was facing for months problem about some apps that I'm locked them at recent app page that I want to stay as background are closed from itself after while with no reason and even if I give these apps all permissions required and no restriction battery saving, after many searches and trials I found the causes and the fix.
The problem mainly due to (CHROME app), There are many apps that are web based apps even that they are not web browsers which are mainly depend on web machine on your OS, In MIUI 10 & 11 Android pie based has Chrome is the main web machine by default and that's the problem.
The fix is on two steps:
1- Disable Chrome app at all (as shown on attached screenshots below): Go to Settings, App, Chrome, Permission, Info. icon on right top, Disable (Uninstall updates first and then disable), Then go to developer options, WebView Implementation, Assure that Android system webview is selected and highlighted as blue.
2- Clear data of Battery&Performance App: Go to Settings, Apps, Battery&Perormance, Clear all data.
Now your phone will keep all Apps you want them to stay on background and foreground without any FC issue

This does help, but I had a couple of issues.
1. I couldn't disable Chrome with the system booted. The fix was boot to TWRP / Advanced / File Manager
Go to system/app/chrome and rename it
Just remove the k from the end of.apk
Reboot and Chrome will be gone
2. make sure you update webview in the play store or Google assistant won't work.
3. This also fixed my issue of Magisk not popping up and asking for permission to use root.
Thanks again for the Tip !

No, I'm non-rooted stock MIUI and I disabled it by steps above by myself, See my screenshots attached in OP
Why not just "No restriction" & "Disable Doze" for Chrome than go with all this trouble and settle for other browsers ?
I'm using this for months and i don't have any issues

Possible.
I found a root base solution to keep Chrome as default webview & Browser.
Go to System/etc/sysconfig and add
<allow-in-power-save package="com.android.chrome"/>

in power-save-conf.xml
I fellow step one closely, and disabled chrome, when I go-to Dev option, still chrome webview was blue. And Android webview can't be anabled on my Poco F1 phone, my ROM version was MIUI version 11.0.5 global stable which was no root.
