Problems to display relatively long emails - Samsung Galaxy S II Plus

Hello,
I'm using cm-11-20140916-UNOFFICIAL-s2vep.zip, coming from stock firmware and I noticed the following issue displaying mails:
If I read an email (exchange or imap) with relatively long text, only a part of text is shown and below a gray area.
It's not about downloading the whole mail content, but a display problem, because if I unzoom, more text is shown and if I zoom, less text is shown, and gray area is still in the same place.
Screenshot is attached.
thank you
Fabio

HTML Email

Does anyone know if there is a fix or if its just the way it is the HTML viewing in emails is working. I've notice on some emails where I am subsribe like to Newegg's mailing list and their emails are not displayed properly. Its cut off on the right side and I have to hit the "enable right scroll" to view the whole thing with scroll bars and it gets pretty annoying. Looks like its not rendering it very well in one screen like PIE does.

Change text color in email when message double clicked

I recently performed the official upgrade on my Omnia and now when in an e-mail message in Outlook and I double click on the text it is light blue in color and impossible to read in any light. How can I change it back to black text? I loved this feature as I can scroll through a message quickly without graphics or using the messaging scroll bar on the side. I'm not even sure what this feature is called and internet searches were unsuccessful.
Thanks for the help in advance!

How are SMS notifications displayed in ICS?

I've put ICS on my developer phone to play about with (not the Nexus) and I was wondering how it looks to people when they get an SMS message.
After coming across this screenshot, I thought that when you got a text, the contact picture of your friend would be displayed at the left, as is the case for Andy Rubin at the bottom.
However, I find mine are displayed like Hiroshi Lockheimer, with just the icon on a patterned background.
I really like the little contact picture, so is it displayed this way on the Nexus S or is there a way to turn it on? Why would Google show 2 different things in their screenshots?
Cheers.
Mine looks like the one with Hiroshi too. This person has a picture in my contacts as well. I didn't test it with her GoogleChat.
Same here, I get the sms icon, no contact pictures. Same for google talk. And I was wondering if this feature didn't make it in the release.
Thanks for checking that out for me! It's odd because I have a picture set too but mine displays the same...I'd have thought it would display the contact photo.
As far as I can see from that screenshot, Hiroshi and Andy are both texts? Maybe it's a third party app...does Handcent do that maybe?
Talk displayed the default picture. Could be my slow connection? Then when I clicked the notification it showed her picture.
Has anyone got the picture displayed for SMS notifications? It seems like a cool feature.
Same thing happens with my Nexus S too....tried multiple AOSP builds of ICS and the official release and still no contact pictures in the sms notifications It does show for gtalk notifications though. I have tried searching for a fix but haven't found anything yet.

[Q] Can't See Text In An MMS Slideshow

Anytime I send or receive a picture with text from my Droid Mini on stock Android 4.4 rooted (I've had this issue since I got the phone brand new from Verizon) in the stock messaging app, it makes it a slideshow, and the text is placed at the top cut off by the picture so I can't see it, and there's no way to see the text that I've found. I've tried tapping the picture and pausing, running the slideshow out doesn't show the text, when sending, I've tried putting the text in first then picture and vice-versa...all to the same result. The only available option is selecting whether the text is on the top or bottom but that doesn't change anything. Attaching a couple screenshots to help make my point and I would appreciate any input on a solution because this is quite annoying. And I don't want to use a 3rd party app.

Click to collapse
Use Handsent.

Turning off contact letters

The contacts app in KitKat displays huge letters in a box when there is no picture available for a contact.
I find this very annoying, and confusing.
How can I turn it off and get the old behaviour of showing an abstract puppet image?
