Install Instruction/FAQ
- if you go from 4.1.2, first of all backup all your data from internal SD card, 4.3 and 4.4 has different structure tree from 4.1.2!!!
- if you go from 4.1.2 or older I recommend format internal card, if you don’t do it, on internal card were by me still data (DCIM etc...) and you can’t normal access them on 4.3, but even without formatting you can later move them from old folder to new one in 4.3 with Aroma file manager , for me easer way without format. Also is possible, that files will move automatically – also me happened
- be sure, you have EFS backup!!!
- create NanDroid backup to external card!!!
- download the *.zip file
- reboot to Recovery, recommended is only PHILz!!!
- ROM isn’t full wipe, but is recommended if you get from any older or you have FCs
- wipe cache and Dalvik cache is automatically included
- select ZIP file and install
- don’t use re-root after installation inside recovery - you don’t need it, if you'll do, then you need install again SU apk from market
- reboot and wait and wait ...
- enjoy it
About bootloaders:
- if you ever flash 4.3 or 4.4 via Odin or updated from OTA you have new Bootloader.
- if you bought your device and you dont know what bootloader you have, turn off your phone,reboot to download mode (hold power + volume down +home buttons) and when is there Knox flag 0x1 you have new and you are warranty off. When Knox flag is there 0x0 you have also new bootloader, but you are still in warranty and when you'll flash any custom recovery or unofficial firmware via Odin, you'll have then Knox 0x1 and you will be warranty off - so it's on your deciding. When isn't in download mode any records about about Knox, you still have old bootloader (btw congratulation ) and don't ever flash via Odin 4.3 and higher firmware - it's a pity.
PS: exit from download mode: hold pressed power button cca 5 seconds
Xposed: if you use Wanam Xposed, after install Rom reactivate Xposed Framework installer.
If you new installed Xposed, open Xposed installer and go to menu "Framework" and choice "Install", then reboot your phone, then open Wanam Xposed apk and activate module Wanam Xposed and next Xposed modules in Xposed installer (menu "Modules"), reboot . That's all, open Wanam Xposed and set, set, set .....enjoy it.
Stock kernel: Wifi works only on new bootloader. If you will have problem with Root, try make update and apply Superuser via market (then open SU and update binary and disable Knox and enjoy), or Re-root into Recovery (only PhilZ is recommended), Then you have to again install and apply Superuser apk from Market.
On new bootloader after installation i recommend you make status selinux permissive via WANAM XPOSED OR SELinux Mode Changer .....when you will not make this status, are expected problem with root
Note 4 Launcher - AccuWeather widgets: if you got any FC (is expected from Accu without full-wipe), clear data and cashes in app manager, reboot
Note 4 Launcher: "Apk not found with swipe to right site" ....you didn't choose this item in Installer/Theme and apk/quet down, reistall rom or install Flipboard apk from Market and My Magazine apk from here or unpick this option in Launcher's setting
S5 MMS apk FC: someone got FC, when installed real S5 phone, then install Rom again without S5 Phone, defaultly will be installed S5 Themed with AutoCallRecording - Description is also in the Aroma Installer! Or you have to go full-wipe or double full-wipe.
S5 dialler UNWANTED "voice guidance" for caller-ID while in-call: phone/settings/call/answering ending calls/ uncheck voice control or follow this
Add Font menu in S5 Setting: you can set fonts by adding the fonts to the quick settings in settings. Go to settings and then tap menu and edit quick settings and check the box for fonts and save
UPSM apk: you can add any custom apks tu UPSM, but it needs clean data and cache of Eemergencymanagerservice and Emergencyprovider everytime you change anything in UPSM apks manager
Coloured UPSM and no possible Screen mode (standard, dynamic, professional photo and movie) : on AGNi you have to disable MDNIE HIJACK in AGNi control app
Extra-mos, 3 dot menu in S5 UI: if you don't like it, follow this post
Music shutter in AGNi Kernels by screen off: use kernel AGNi without any sound mod. You can also fix it by using intelliactive (not recommended since it doesn't hotplug) or lulzactiveq.
The NewPure Audio Mod: This mod hasn't graphic equaliser! There is built-in PureEQ equaliser set up to 3-5-5-3-8. If you want use compatible graphic equaliser use DSP Manager from Rom's Aroma installer. DSP manager is supported with the mod and quality of sound isn't at all disappeared , or you can use also this ViPER4Android FX, but with this apk you lost setting of PureEQ (sound will be worse), but you can there set up again it on 3-5-5-3-8 (all 2x there) and the sound of PureEQ is again back and great .
Next possibility is use Google Play Music, there seems is sound quiet the same, but I don't recommend it to use with graphic equaliser Music FX (quality lost) and instead you should again flash DSP Manger from above or use ViPER4Android and in the Setting/My device/Sound set up ViPER4Android as default.
Also is possible only use some graphic equalisers from Market but they aren't supported directly from both Apks
Worst variant is use Stock Player, there is biggest loss quality of sound.
Camera: if you have problem with Camera follow part "Notes"
Boot Sound: if you want activate boot sound, rename in system/media/audio/ui/PowerOn.ogg.bakkk to PowerOn.ogg

Notes
If your camera doesn't work use Fix (Patch) in Aroma Rom installer. Or flash Camera Patch - thanks @MaHo_66 . For interesting here are also older instruction: follow this (thanks @Hbohd and @P$T), if you don't have incriminated file flash relevant Stock kernel from HERE or Rom with Stock Kernel - Wifi doesn't work with old bootloader, then take photo and short video, then flash again your Rom without full wipe with kernel which you like. If your camera still doesn't work follow THIS or flash some Rom 4.1.2 (via Recovery or Odin) take picture, grab and backup incriminated files, then flash this Rom and put them to data/cwm. Don't forget backup your SlimISP_XX.bin for future. Problem with camera have only some users - Samsung issue.

had same problem, if anyone would read comments they would see i removed sd card and the rom booted, with the new bootloader. It tok around 5 minutes

Sure man it will work. Just make sure you are rooted and have cwm installed, and follow the instructions on how to flash the rom. Backup and wipe before installing.

Hi i was just wanting to know if i have done anything wrong, i have installed your rom by following your instructions but its laggy, not smooth at all like 4.1.1 . I had a problem with wifi and mobile data not connecting to start with but after a couple of hours it just started working..im a complete noob at this but i have done about 20 rom flashes and have rooted my s3 i9300 for my first root phone and now i have upgraded to s3 i9305 rooted and flashed your rom
Am i the only one getting this lag or have i forgot to do something ? please help as i am thinking of going back to 4.1.1

If you did a full wipe before install then it should not be laggy. You may reflash again with full wipe.
Usually before I install and change things after I flashed a new custom rom, at first boot I let it rest for a while and reboot...rest again then after that now install apps or restore titanium backups, it's NOT a must but works sometimes ones booted there are still working/loading on the background before all fully loaded.
EDIT:
by the way I'm currently testing some added battery tweaks and speed tweaks might update soon once done. For now I'll let my phone sleep and see what happens tomorrow.

I'm now using your rom it looks okay and smooth. I choose the themed, nice but I still prefer the stock maybe I'll install again and choose the stock look. Thank you.

Go to Settings/More settings/Mobile networks/Network mode/GSM only/
reboot your device,then go to Network mode again/select/LTE/GSM/WCDMA(Auto mode)
now your 4G network should be working

Dang got home and I keep getting a error for my wifi it comes up as disabled after trying to obtain a ip address . I have reset my home modem and rebooted phone. , no wipes done. Any suggestions on how to fix this*even a point in the right direction to read up on this..so I dont waste to much of your time

Hmm I'm not having those issues.
Are other devices able to connect to your wifi? Might be on your modem/routers channel?

GPU Rendering:
This mod is working similar to "Render GUI with GPU" option in Development Settings. Flashing this will force whole system to use GPU rendering (instead of CPU) for all kind of 2D/3D operations. This might improve 2D operations performance, but keep in mind that some apps are not working correctly with GPU rendering. After using this mod you no longer need to tick "Render GUI with GPU" in settings. Even if un-ticked it will be still working. Flash it at your own risk!

Installation Instructions for v18:
DO SUPER WIPE!- Changing from 4.1.2 / 4.3 to 4.4.2 will change the location of your internal sd(In case of 4.3 some system data is stored in your internel SD, that is why you need to wipe it), just, that is why you must to super wipe, to clean your internal sd. backup first.
If you are coming from 4.4.2 full wipe is needed
Use Philz 5.15.0
Flash v18. Choose your mods, etc.
Reboot.
You must be on MJ5 bootloader or higher, or you will have reboots & freezes!!!

Bugs
After First Setup, Hands-Free Mod turns on, you can just turn it off from settings or from Status bar not a big deal(it is only 1 time thing, it doesn't come back after reboot)
After First Setup, Regular Power Saving Mod turns on, although you won't see it is on. In order to disable it go into Power Saving Mod Option(Not Ultra!), Turn it on, go into Restrict Performance and turn it off. That's it.(it is only 1 time thing, it doesn't come back after reboot)
No big deal bugs.

Q: I am getting assert failed when I am trying to flash the rom. What should I do?
A: I have put a security command to check the models of your phone, because we have several versions for our device, and some people might flash on the wrong model.
This command makes sure you are using the right model.
If you have the right model and you still get that, you have to use PhilZ recovery:

Q: What is the ODEX script? How do I use it?
A: When you use stock rom, you have an ODEXED system, and when you use custome rom you have a DEXODEX system.
ODEXED system has many benefits and has disadvantage.
The benefits are:
- Faster & High performance for the rom
- Faster boot
- Slimer system files.
The disadvantage:
After activating the script, you won't be able to flash any mod, theme or something else that was created for DEODEXED system.
Which means, you are limited.
Once you activate the script, there is no turning back, if you don't like it you have to reflash the rom.
In order to make your life easier, you will be able to use all aroma mods during installation. The script will work at the end of the installation to make sure all your system is ODEXED and there won't be any bug.
You don't have to install it during installation.
I will provide in PhoeniX Kitchen a download for this script that fits to PhoeniX ROMs.
So, if you want install themes or mods after the installation of the rom. You are able to do that!
If you want to install themes/mods after the installation make these steps:
1. Don't tick the ODEX script.
2. Run your ROM
3. Reboot to recovery, flash your mods/themes.
4. If you are happy with your curernt mods and themes, reboot to recovery and flash the odex script. Wait till it finishes! It might take up to 15 minutes!
5. Reboot & Enjoy
If you are happy with your aroma choices, and want to stay like this, tick the script.
If you don't want ODEXED and want to stay DEODEXED don't install the script
Pay attention!
The installation of the script might take up to 15 minutes! Be patient and don't pull out the battery, it will break your system! It odexes each file in system, so be patient.
In order to install the script, you must use CWM based reocvery(PhilZ)! If you install with TWRP recovery, you will get an endless bootloop.

Q: I have PullUp App when i click the Home Button, how to disappear it?
A:
In Note 3 touchwiz, the default app is My Magazine.
I have put PullUp app in order to give you to pull up any app you want.
But now if you want to disable it when you click Home Button and stay only with Swiping up do the following:
1. Go into Settings -> PhoeniX Extra -> Pull Up App Chooser
2. Select My Magazine.
3. Now go back to touchwiz home and swipe it up.
4. Go into My Magazines Settings
5. Remove the V from "Open using the home key"
6. Go back to Settings -> PhoeniX Extra -> Pull Up App Chooser
7. Select your App(Or stay with my magazines)
8. Done.

240 DPI Mod Installation InstructionsHello,
After installing 240 DPI, you will have some problem like small TouchWiz or some FC.
1. Open Settings -> PhoeniX Extra -> Xposed Installer And click Install + Give it SU Permission
2. In Xposed Installer, go to Modules(it is in the Xposed Installer app, right side up) and select/active Xposed APP Settings.
3. Exit Xposed Installer and open Settings -> PhoeniX Extra -> Xposed App Settings.
4. In the app, search for: TouchWiz Home.
a. Active it and select the following details:
- DPI: 320
- Screen: default
b. Click Save
5. In the app, search for: Camera.
a. Active it and select the following details:
- DPI: 320
- Screen: default
b. Click Save
6. In the app, search for: Photo Editor(Only If you have it).
a. Active it and select the following details:
- DPI: 320
- Screen: 480X854
b. Click Save
7. In the app, search for: Weather Widget(Only If you have it).
a. Active it and select the following details:
- DPI: 320
- Screen: default
b. Click Save
8. In the app, search for: Calculator.
a. Active it and select the following details:
- DPI: 320
- Screen: default
b. Click Save
9. In the app, search for: Easy Chart.
a. Active it and select the following details:
- DPI: 320
- Screen: default
b. Click Save
10. In the app, search for: S Planner.
a. Active it and select the following details:
- DPI: 320
- Screen: default
b. Click Save
11. In the app, search for: com.sec.android.app.keygaurd
a. Active it and select the following details:
- DPI: 320

The Problem:
Well, when i have some free time i install my rom and restore my apps, but i have only one problem. I have like 4-5 Gameloft games and i am out of memory. Each game needs 2-2.5GB from the internal memory, and then i don't have any space left :\.

I have SanDisk 64GB ultra mobile class 10(around 30 m/s) and this is the result:

First, you need to make sure you have high speed SD card(class 10 is highly recommended!).
Second, you have done these steps:
Backup everything - External SD and Internal sd.
Format your SD card to Fat32 or Exfat(Format is needed to prevent FC and lags) :
64GB exfat is recommended
16-32GB fat32 is recommended
After you have formated your SD, copy into it these files:
Phoenix Rom
SuperWipe by mike
titanium backup folder(if you have backuped apps, not system data!)
"Ok, I have done eberything, how do I install it?"
It is very simple.
Make sure you have done all above
Go into your recovery and flash Super Wipe by mike - it will delete all your internal memory.
Wait till the recovery finish the restart after the script.
Flash Phoenix Rom
Choose in aroma: Yes, install the script
Wait till the aroma finishes to install the rom
Reboot
Enjoy
Notes:
If you want to access to your INTERNAL SD you have to go with astro or ES filemangaer or what do you wanto to /mnt/extSdCard
If you want to see how much space do you have simply go in memory info in settings and check but warning: the situation is inverted! The INTERNAL SD is seen as EXTERNAL and viceversa! This situation is present also when you attach phone to pc.

Soon support with the Simplistic Firmware.. I am talking with the developer now..
Rom looks solid, installed hour back and everything working perfect. Will update later for any issues.

Did you do full wipe? I mean the super wipe.
I dont have this systemu bug, and some people from another forum say all work perfect.

Introducing Sweet ROM, a little side project of mine. I have cooked a few ROMS for the Galaxy Note 1 & 2 and the Sweet ROM series is my first on XDA. I liked it and just wanted to share. This ROM works well for me and should for you.
Those of you that know my Sweet ROM's from Note 1 will know I generally build a full ROM. I like to keep all the Samsung apps etc in. Users can delete what they want to lighten the ROM if they wish and know what they are doing.

Bugs - I have found changing ringtones with Media Storage produces error. I have therefore included all the ringtones, notification tones etc in sdcard. To change ringtones etc do it the normal way but use the ES File Explorer option and navigate to /storage/emulated/0/Audiotones then the folder you need eg. Ringtones. This way works fine. I haven’t had ime to look at it but will when I get a chance.

Make a Nandroid backup of your current ROM
Download Sweet ROM V5 and place on sd or external sd card (remember where you put it)
Boot into cwm recovery
Wipe Data (OPTIONAL but strongly advised if any problems occur)
Press “Install Zip”, locate where you have the Sweet ROM V5 ROM zip and flash it
Wait until it says Reboot then Reboot phone. First install will take some time as it is building cache
Enjoy

You can use XBlast to change status bar icons, notification pulldown (transparency or picture), toggle colors, clock colors, hide notifications, etc... Experiment and find your own favorite settings. Available here but please support @FemBlack great work and get his Play Store version (with more features) here
BATTERY LIFE – I would advise at least run a few cycles before you start talking about it.
This is build is for standard dpi. You are welcome to try 240, 214 etc but I don't support these mods. Meaning I have no time to work on any fixes if you try to change dpi so please don't ask. You can change DPI with Xposed apps. Search and you will find.
I cooked this ROM for my own personal enjoyment and it works for me. *What works for me may not work for you. I merely put together what I like and use. If you don't like it then please don't flash it or even download it as it costs me personally for file hosting.

Remove these and any others with same icon from system app. You can then go further if you wish and remove knox from libs, container & framework etc but just removing the apps will do it

It's built for N9005 so I wouldn't advise using it on other models. What's the difference in hardware with the 900T and 9005?

PLEASE READ BEFORE FLASHING!!!
1. You will get the best experience if you flash the latest bootloader and modem via odin before
flashing the rom
2. A clean flash is required!!
3. If you get a message on 1st boot that "system is not responding", just reboot and you will
be right away back to normal
4. Unfortunately i still havent managed to get Viper4Android working...
The option is there in the Echoe Extras but its useless (for now)

3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. USE CUSTOM RECOVERY
Note: As you know flashing any custom Rom will void your warranty and raise your knox warranty counter to 0x1
2. Make Sure that in Settings/General/Security the option "REACTIVATION LOCK" is unticked!!!
3. Make a FULL NANDROID BACKUP!!! (That includes Backing up your EFS)
4. DOWNLOAD Echoe Rom from one of the links above. Put either into internal or external SD Card.
5. In Recovery, Wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and Wipe data/factory reset and then Install Zip (from either external or internal SD depending on where you chose to save the Rom)
6. The installation process takes between 3-5 minutes. Let it do its job Also the 1st boot also takes 3-5 minutes. I would also recommend that before the initial setup, you dont do anything to your phone for 5 minutes... Let it settle and then proceed with the initial setup... That's just my usual ritual with any Rom I flash
7. Reboot and Enjoy Note: If in Recovery it ever asks you to "Fix Root" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRESS NO!!!
8. If by any chance you have any issues with LTE, do the following:
Using Root Explorer or an analogous app go to data >property>persist.radio.lteon.xml open the file in Text Editor and change the value to true. Save and Exit and Reboot

What base are you on my friend?
The "virgin" boot of Echoe v.1 was done after a dirty flash but base was the stock MJ3...
If you do wipe cache and dalvik cache...
If you dont feel it as fast as it should, then you probably need a clean flash...
Press no if it asks you to fix root

ROM INSTALLATION PROCESS
FULL WIPE is highly recommended!
Boot into CWM based recovery (latest PhilzTouch Recovery is recommended)
Choose ''Wipe/Data Factory Reset''
Choose "Install ZIP from sdcard"
Choose ROM zip file
Go through Aroma Installer and select what you want
Wait for finishing flashing
Reboot and enjoy

CAMERA FIX
For those who have issues with camera, pls follow tutorial
1. Enter recovery and flash View attachment STOCK_KERNEL_4.4.4_XXUFNL1.zip
2. Boot into the rom Note: wifi won't work and internal memory and SD card may not be accessible. This is normal
3. Try to start the camera app, it will give you a memory card error but you will see that it's working
4. Reboot into recovery, flash back one of the AGNi kernels below and boot back
5. Now you should have a working camera

i think this is copy of other rom s5 project and community rom ... i don't flash this .... i flash this when sas99 and other rom maker has comment this rom and confirm this is not a **** copy and all this feauter and normal rom is stable ann all is working like stable rom

download link where ? i think is fake .. and when he add a download link a xda developer have to test this because is he only add a yours name rom and all is he work .. .i think this rom is very fake don't install this !

Can you tell me what pda this rom have? Because till now i tried Galaxy S5Project and Community ROM V1.1 and got factory mode message, i think because pda was PDA I9305XXUFNE3 and PHONE I9305XXUEMK1..
In 2-3days i'll try this, now i have bad connection

Hey man, you can check these details by dialing *#1234#, supersu pops up just tap back and it will show the info.
PDA/PHONE = I9305XXUFNE3
MODEM = I9305XXUEMK1
CSC= I9305TNLEML1
Perhaps because of different CSC in the rom you are getting factory mode I dont really know why, but try flashing your own CSC. Maybe later i can include some CSC's in the aroma installer

Confirmed! thats my offcial stock rom
I see, so you want to flash this official firmware first, to have its csc and modem and then flash this rom on top of it to keep those. Im not sure that will help as you will have the csc and modem of not your official firmware. CSC contains important info about your carrier/apn's/services etc. etc. so i think its the best to have your own csc and or modem.
Edit: i think i need to remove the csc in the rom so that you and others can keep their csc like the modem. we can experiment with this and see what happens..
