Crombi-KK sudden bootloop - Asus Transformer TF700

Hey all!
I have a TF700T that is now stuck in a bootloop and I don't know why, neither what to do.
I've been running Crombi-KK for about a month now, and It was a lot faster than the stock rom I use to have. Last night, I installed a new app from the market. When I launched it my tablet rebooted and got stuck in a bootloop.
It is rooted and unlocked. I can access bootloader and CWM using Volume Down. I tried to wipe cache/data/dalvik and reinstall from SD using CWM but it is still bootlooping.
Anyone have an idea?

Obviously, the app is causing the problem...:crying: Did you wipe them in CWM? A wipe should work in your case but if it did not work, you may want to format your data partition, good luck...:fingers-crossed:

I've format /data on sd card using CWM and it finally booted properly after reinstalling everything.
Thanks a lot for your help!!
Any idea what could have caused this in the app I downloaded? I don't wanna be force to wipe every week if it happens with different app.

The only thing that may cause data corruption is when you have an unfinished intallation and force a shutdown with Fsync off... Otherwise, you may have a force close of a bad app but it should not corrupt your data partition. Someone may have a better idea what may cause the issue that you have... Sorry...

The reason can be usually seen in the logcat output, or in the kernel log (dmesg). Random guessing is pointless.

Transformer stuck in constant boot loop

I'm not sure what happened to my tablet. I really can't seem to figure it out. I was using it last night before I went to sleep, and I just closed it away (I have the keyboard dock), and packed it in the case this morning for work. When I took it out to use it at work it had already been stuck in a boot loop. I have wiped, and reinstalled 3 different roms on it since. It's still doing the same thing. Is there anything else I can do? What could have caused this?
I know that you've tried to flash several ROMs, but please check if you've done all the steps described below:
Copy ROM to /sdcard
Reboot in recovery
Wipe /system, /cache and dalvik-cache
Install ROM
Reboot and see if it works
If not, you might also want to delete /data, but make sure you backup it first (you can do that with a nandroid) and use /external_sd to store the ROM (just in case).
You can also try restoring your nandroid backup.

I have tried both. When I flashed the original backup back onto the tablet I got the same result. I have completely wiped all data as far as I know. I even went a step further and formatted my sd card to ensure none of the ROM files were corrupt, then placed them back on the card. Is there even more data I can delete other than the system wipe/cache/dalvic cache?
wipe staging
wipe battery stats
ummmmm yeah those are the only 2 not listed and are not all that usefull to you
Do you have nvflash ? If so i would do a complete wipe ie format everything even recovery etc then flash a nvflash rom then restore my nandroid if i knew the integrity of it was good

theres a Super wipe I use in mikes Android Revolution HD thread..
I have used this before to fix a few problems I was having..
Check "how to flash" section for it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245892
I had the same thing happen to me. Just boot loop out of the blue. It was sitting at home charging, came home to it boot looping.
I tried re-flashing the rom I was on (prime) and flashing other roms and nothing worked.
I had to use the super-wipe script to get it working.

I have tried the Revolutionary Rom, and after it wipes and installs, and reboots it just says at the Asus eEE screen. What on earth could I have possibly done? Is the super wipe something that can be manually done, or does this only occur while installing the rom?
Holy Canoli, I think I may have forgot one step.....one second..."tinkering"...
Edit: update, I'm not going to tell anyone what I forgot to do after the super wipe (which is a godsend), but alas, my Transformer is functional again. Thanks guys!

EVO LTE problem on install of custom ROM

I unlocked my bootloader, installed twrp recovery, and rooted obviously. I then backed up and installed the 9-6-12 build of CM10 nightlies for Evo lte from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1851912
Before installing I did a factory reset/wiped caches,
Now it boots up and gets past the HTC logo but then it just goes to a backlit black screen indefinitely. I left it for 30 minutes in case it was just booting really slowly.
Does anyone know what could be going on? I really want to try CM10.
I will give so many thanks to anyone who helps!

Try another clean install. You could also try wiping the dalvik cache after flashing (before rebooting).

Hey guys!
I've been trying to factory reset my tf700t to install a fresh CM10.1 but I had the (very) bad idea to try this ****ty encryption feature before and now everytime I try to factory reset or wipe /data, the recovery throws me an error like "Unable to mount /data".
Tried with TWRP as well as Clockworkmod, same result.
I don't want to mount it, it just want to get rid of it and start fresh.
Is there a way to do it?
Is there an official tool to flash a stock rom or am I stuck with those recoveries that can't work with encrypted partitions?
Cheers

As I recall there is a superwipe script somewhere the will completely remove and recreate the partitions. Don't recall where I found it though, but it will fix that.

"Format /data" in TWRP should do it.

Did you try the Format Option in the TWRP? It wipes everything on your internal SD. I use it every time that I want a clean install.
Flash the TWRP recovery through fastboot mode and then u 'll be fine to wipe data/factory reset.

I only just noticed I never replied to you guys...
So first of all, thank you for taking the time to answer me back then, if you ever read this
From what I can recall, I ended up doing a full format through CWM or TWRP. This takes a long time (because the nand is so slow I gues) and the first time I tried I thought the tablet was frozen, that's probably why I thought I was screwed...
So after I let the full format finish, I was able to sideload a fresh rom and it worked again
BTW just installed crombikk rom : AWESOME
I only wish I tried it earlier!
The encryption feature seems to be broken but... Who cares, my tablet as never been so fast (usable? Lol)

[Q] TWRP keeps wiping internal memory

I have the latest Cromi-X Rom installed and running TWRP 2.5. I have been running this setup for awhile. The following just started happening to me yesterday.
If I go into TWRP and clear cache and Dalv and try and reboot it says no OS installed. It seems to be wiping my internal memory. I just restore a nandroid but why is internal memory being wiped. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Michael

Try a newer version of TWRP recovery.....
---------- Post added at 10:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:15 AM ----------
I can make you a zip that is flashable from your current recovery.. It would flash just like a ROM but only update your recovery.. Let me know if this is something that you would like.... Thx lj

It is a bug in the TWRP 2.5.... I had that issue quite a bit in the past when I was using v2.5. You may want to update your TWRP to the newer version. I am currently using v2.6.1.0 and it is working nicely without that bug...
To get around that bug, you need to go to mount option to see if you can mount your System and check that box. Shutdown your device completely for a few seconds without installing anything in the process of shutting down. Boot back into your TWRP again to see if your system is mounting. You may want to try few times to mount your system partition in order for it to boot... Your system is still there but it refuses to mount for some reason.... Good luck,...:fingers-crossed:

The first boot always takes longer as it is setting up, but no longer than ~5 minutes.
Anyway... If you've waited and it is boot looping, try these steps:
Make sure your recovery is up to date.
Wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik cache.
Flash ROM, gapps, and any addons
Wipe cache and dalvik
Reboot. After first reboot is complete and on setup screen, wait 5 minutes and reboot into recovery.
Wipe cache and dalvik again. Reboot
This reboot could also take ~5 minutes, but the others shouldn't as long as you don't wipe cache and dalvik.
You should see an "Android is Upgrading" screen. After this is done, complete setup and you should be good to go.

Back to stock rom for now, prepare (charge until full).
Re-root, then reboot to recovery to try again flashing the rom.
Always format /system, /cache, /data/media first when installing different roms. Good luck

Stock rom is working fine? Is root working on stock?
Did you get any errors while flashing costom roms?
I remember a folk here got a same problem as you, and i think it's not resolved yet..
Maybe you and him have a "special" devices.
Don't worry, it's not a problem with your ext-sd because i use it all the time. and if it was ext-sd problem, you'll get an error while flashing.
I suggest messages devs in developement section, maybe they can figure out what is wrong.
And of course i think it's not safe to restore others nandroid backup, so don't mind find it.
God speed, wish I can help you more

Like I said earlier, you should have flashing stock rom first to remove root via odin/hemidall.. you can find it at sammobile, com
then re-root with link i gave earlier again via odin/hemidall, and format in recovery like i said earlier. no wonder you still fail..
you should have philz touch recovery instead cwm if you succeed.
