Mod - Increase internal application/userdata storage on most MTK6572 devices - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Okay, well the forum says no n00bs, well I am a n00b in ways when it comes to hacking the MTK6572, but I figured it out, it works, had others test on their own MTK6572, one a THL and the other ZTE Mini Q and it worked.
There are some bugs to work out in the Mini Q, apparently it does't like the mod, won't mount the external storage, can't figure this one out yet, so any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
I wrote instructions on my blog, the latest is the most stable, flashing will not force you to recover your settings, backup is important but this latest mod has made that unecessary, as long as you download only the EBR1, if you format or flash an old backup of your system.img, cache and data.img, well then you will have to do everything again.

TeamViewer Quick Support working on i727 with AOSP

For those of you who don't know, TeamViewer recently released a specialized app called 'TeamViewer Quick Support', which is a really nice app that allows you to control a remote smartphone almost as if you were holding it in your hand. The problem was that it is specifically designed for stock Samsung phone meaning it wouldn't work on custom ROMs.
However, it appears the issue has been solved for those of you using AOSP ROMs. I myself can confirm it is working on TeamChopstick's CyanogenMod 9. The download links are below.
Mind you, this has not been done by me. Please go to THIS THREAD and thank the OP. You can also find the ARMv6 version in his thread.

* Remember, you need at least 4+ MB of free space on /system to flash those ZIPs!

Custom Rom support for CAPTIVA 9.7 Tablet

Hello,
My tablet is very slow because of the lame version of android (4.2.2.). Maybe a new rom would have a positive effect on in. But sadly I didn´t found any custom rom support for that thing .
Maybe someone know more about it. Thats how it look like:

Yep - I installed Cyanogen 10 on it
Hi Alecander - I can tell you how I installed Cyanogenmod 10 on it.
Not much improvement, to be honest - but it is CM at least. I did have to go to crazy lengths to make wi-fi work, though (manually invoke wpa_supplicant, etc).
By the way, if you still have it - can you send me the /system/framework/framework.jar file from that tablet (email: [email protected])? In my tablet that file became corrupt, which stopped the stock image from working (that's why I moved to CM10).
Thanks!

Nexus 5 system partition table does not exist

Hey everyone, I made a stupid decision to try and repartition without any prior knowledge and I made a really dumb mistake.
Without looking up that it was Nexus 7 thread and not Nexus 5 thread, I installed these zip files through TWRP:

}
Which are posted in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...on-extra-space-for-rom.3599907/#post-76278047
Due to the dumb mistake, I can no longer install system.img through ADB because I receive this error:
Is there any way that my phone can be saved?
Thanks.

You can do a new and larger repartition (or try to restore stock one) with just one simple terminal command, if you install this TWRP.

Using ResurectionRemix rom turns SDcard read-only/kill them?!

Hey there, i just read this on a rom thread for an old device. That RR rom is old, from 2018, so i'm not sure if it's doing it with other version/on other phone BUT when reading this it reminded be at that period I HAD TWO SDCARD that became read-only, so unusable/dead basically. Made a lot of research back then and tried many things but no luck.
The reading i had today says "an app could fix the affected sdcards" however the person couldn't recall the app name. Anyway, i'd like to hear from people who had such stories & fixes?
How is the write-protection tab on SD-card set?

I have (and am in fact posting from) a Kobo Arc K107 E-Reader... I can't actually get past the setup bc it seems the servers are down for this e-reader (who could of guessed)... I am posting this because I found a exploit to get to settings with the low battery prompt. I was looking to see if I could get a android 5 custom ROM at least for this e-reader so I can make it useful, heres a few cpu-z screenshots
