Anyone have issues with NFC? When I use android beam between two devices, it works, but my one goes crazy, making an android beam alarm notification noise continuously. Its supposed to only make the noise once.
Try factory reset. Mine didn't work at all, factory reset fixed it

does anyone have trouble with the touch screen coming on during a call and hanging up or muting it with your face? im using the milestone xt720 with mioze7ae's cm6.3.5.5 same issue with 6.3.0 does anyone know a fix or a workaround? other wise the mod is the best ive used so far thanks devs!!!
I can't reproduce that. Can you try this: call your cell from a different phone and answer. Then put your finger over the proximity sensor (one of the three black dots in the top left above the screen). The screen should go dark and there is no interaction. Then remove your finger and the screen will come back. If that doesn't happen, can you play with the auto backlight settings and see if that has an effect. Also, let me know which sbf are you running and whether you've applied any boot/sensorfixes? If you're running modxt720.sbf, I suspect messed up sensors. There's a way to fix that now: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21220676#post21220676

yes the proximity sensor works its only every once and a while the screen turns back on and i either hang up or mute the phone i got the phone new from cell one in Montana it had a horrible froyo mod from utilmobile i think that was the name anyway i flashed it to the Cincinnati bell sbf (STR_U2_04.1E.1_SIGNED_UCASHLSTABB1B4D039.0R_NAREG_P011_A006_HWp3_1FF.sbf) using rsd lite then superoneclick then OR androidiani version wipe delvik / wipe data factory reset /wipe cache partition apply update 6.3.5.3 / gapps-cm6-20111214 then wipe all again reboot thats all setup apn's ect this issue only happen maybe once a day but when its a business it sucks. but still thank you for all your hard work gives me something to do on my off time.
Hi. I'm on a rooted Nexus 5, stock ROM & Kernel, and I'm experiencing two little issues:
1) Proximity sensor problems
When I answer a phone call the screen just doesn't go off. The same if I make a phone call. This is pretty annoying because during phone calls I often touch buttons with my face and I mess up with settings.
2) Notification LED stuck
Sometimes, let's say about once every two weeks, the notification LED keeps flashing even after I wake my phone and read the notification. The only way to reset it is to do a hard reboot.
Do you have these problems too? How could I resolve?
I've been running CM11 on my Photon for quite a while (after having too many problems with 12.1, I downgraded to 11 and it has been running pretty well. Unfortunately, I've recently been having this problem with my Android Wear watch where it just randomly lights up. It does not have anything to do with the orientation sensor in the watch - it lights up even with tilt to wake off. It also lights up randomly even when it's in theater mode, which is very bizarre. I know it's the phone's problem because this does not happen when the watch is disconnected. Anyone know what might cause this and how I might fix it?
Hi all,
I've had my S2 classic since January but since the latest update introducing auto brightness thing and flight mode, vibrations have stopped working. If I switch off and back on again it's fine and works as it should but I'm assuming since I put it on charge the vibrations stopped again, though again a reboot sorts it.
While it's easy to sort it is pretty annoying to have to do it every day just wondering if anyone else has the same issue and how I can fix it hopefully without having to factory reset it?
Hi,
I think I just got the same issue today with my Gear S2 classic, latest update. It didn't vibrate despite an active notification. Still have to check if it works after reboot.
Wondering if anyone has any advice for my weird mic issue - it's a little different to the others I've seen but willing to try anything at the moment. Here's what I've found so far:
*People can't hear me when I talk into the phone. I've tried calling my home phone and listening and I don't hear anything either.
*This problem seems to happen when I'm holding the phone normally (i.e. against my face - ear to the ear speaker and mouth near bottom of the phone's mic)
*If I talk right into the bottom of the speaker (as in have the bottom mic and speaker right in front of my mouth), it picks up audio fine on the other end.
*Speakerphone appears to be fine so secondary mic is working fine.
*Done the usual clean the mic hole with pin (and compressed air), made sure my finger wasn't covering the mic hole, removed any cases, etc.
My suspicion is maybe the proximity sensor is doing something to cause the audio to cut out? I can't imagine the bottom mic being that directional that it picks up nothing in one particular direction while works fine in another.
Phone is bone stock S6 - SM G920W8 running 6.0.1 (Build G920W8VLU3CPC8)
I've already done a factory reset so this thing is as clean as it gets and still no luck. Help!
Apps could be the issue.
Do you have any apps or had any apps in the past that use the proximity sensor on your Galaxy S6? I know that I have had these problems in the past where certain apps that use the proximity sensor, such as the wave your device on and off app that I frequently use interfere with how the microphone detects how far away your face is.

Not that I recall. I did boot the device up in Safe Mode (which should stop any third party app from loading) and the problem still occurred. I also tried it again after I did a factory reset and before I loaded any apps but that didn't help either.
I don't use the gestures at all so I don't think it's that but maybe the factory reset turns it on. I'll see if I can find it to check.

Well, it looks like gestures were turned on by default. Turned them all off and then turned them on one by one and made a test call and found it's the "Smart Alert" feature that caused the mic to not work when near my face.
Thanks WSADKeysGaming for the reminder about the gestures! I completely forgot about it because I never used them.
Don't mention it!
There are so many settings nowadays that its hard to remember whats on and off, left and right. Glad I could help!

Sorry for bumping an old thread, are you familiar with why the Smart Alert feature would do this? Thanks!
