Question seconded.
Plus, I made a little something, might be nice in Zeus. It's not exactly stable, and it's ramdisk-related so can't do in kernel source. But it might be first in the world. (literally) How should I add it?

Actually, it's a triple recovery. CWM + TWRP + Philz. CWM and Philz are from CM11, and neither of them can mount internal storage yet. Hoping to fix that soon, though...

When you have CM10 and Hades kernel, the phone shows a blue light for TWRP, green for CWM, right? Same way, now you get pink for Philz too.
Wait... you're the one who doesn't have an E, right? The E doesn't have a recovery partition - the recovery has to be built into the kernel ramdisk. There was a kernel with two recoveries - I simply extended that and added three recoveries to the kernel ramdisk, and options to boot into all.

Actually, cut the triple recovery, at least on stock. CM11, maybe, but stock won't work - vold managed partitions in KitKat recoveries don't show up with stock.

If you want to build a properly working CM10 there is a lot of work to do.
jjm34's device repos are messed up and incomplete. No offence to him, or any of his skills but it's even a wonder the ROM boots.
It would be best to start from scratch, but that's a pain.
I do not own the device anymore, but for my current phone(the almighty bacon )there already is a ton of development so I think you guys would appreciate my help more than they do.
Anyway, I'll have another look at the source again this Saturday to see what I can do.
-Peace

If you really want to, I might know a way to do it, but Xperia devices have always been annoying things to build kernels for.
Anyway, it would require a lot of "hacking" and chopping up code to work, but it might be possible.
Again, why would you want it?
---------- Post added at 10:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:20 PM ----------
Oh, and your CM11 source is also messy. You merge commits like it's nothing and don't organise them. Make a list of errors and eliminate them one by one.
Don't do all sorts of stuff at the same time, it causes confusion for others who want to check your source.
I shouldn't be such a know-it-all, but I always am, sorry.
Please don't take this the wrong way.

Maybe we could restart CM10 from FXP? That's supposed to be okay, right?

For fun? For science? For Sparta? Dunno. If it's heavy work, let's not waste time on it, I was just doing it to have something to do.

Meh, it's advice. Advice is good. I'm not doing CM11 right now (couldn't get the hang of it), but hey, whatever.

I suggest CM9. CM10 is stable now (at least for me). Also look at gsm error on ported roms.

Yes,just like buinghia98 said,cm9 should be good IMO.
Butter smooth.
cm10 also builds up lag eventually.

But I'm already syncing CM10 sour- fine. But I'm 99% sure it'll never be finished.

guyz but cm10 is also important cm9 will smooth but we cant enjoy our jellybean features, we get same and same bug when any rom is ported using cm10 as a base

[R&D][WIP]Port Galaxy S3 to Android kitchen

UPDATE
THE KITCHEN OFFICIALLY SUPPORTS OUR MODEL, THE SCH-I535. Here is the the thread.
THIS IS NOW RETIRED.THANKYOU TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED THIS
What is this project?
This project is port over the GS3 onto the Android kitchen so it can be used with the rom creation and tweaking feautures of the Android kitchen.
What's the Android kitchen?
The Android kitchen is a free tool that allows the creation of rom's and tweaking other roms without codeing.
Want to test?
As of right now i have all the testers needed.
UPDATE: 8/30/12
- The error 6 while flashing is gone now i think, but has been replaced with error 7 now.
-Found a problem with the update-script
-Made a rom with the kitchen used Beans rom. Looking for testers please pm me if you'd like to help.
-After going through some scripts a noticed that their might have to be multiple scripts for other GS3. This might much more simple then i thought. Will test later on.
GOALS FOR THIS PROJECT:
Update busybox
Support for all Galaxy S3 devices
Full support for all Android kitchen's features
Fully stable/bugless
Progress so far:
folder for GS3 variants
edify_defs file made
check_ script made for the verzion gs3
NEEDS TO BE DONE:
edify_defs for other models
Other things that are not known yet
edify_defs for vzw GS3
I myself am currently the only one working on this, if anyone would like to contribuit to this feel free to pm me email me or gtalk me (at the end of post)At this time we are only working on the verizon version of the GS3 ,untill we have a compelte understanding of what has to be done and finshe porting over the Verzion model thats how it stands.Neither of us have a a different model then the d2vzw.If we ever need testers this is will we will ask. This might be easy it might be not. As of now we have a good start, we will contuine working day to day on this. All updates will be above.I"ll be using beans stock rom for testing i take no credit for the rom only this port.
A Big thanks to dsixda for making the kitchen!
Email: covenant123dx @gmail.com
Thanks to Josolanes for testing !

Droid3r is sadly a troll, or at least he's portrayed himself to be as of late. For Bean's I've been working on a theme cusromizer, and once that's solidified I was going to make it work with the major ROMs. If someone could donate web space, I have no problem making a nice web-based system for all the ROMs.

did you add the galaxy s3 device script to the edify_defs folder with the correct partitions labeled for our phones? I am pretty sure kitchen works better with Non Yaff devices than with?

[DEVELOPERS ONLY] Start developing CM10 all SV Variants

Sources can be found here: https://github.com/Team-OneSV/ Note: They may or may not be up to date. As of this post they aren't booting out of the box yet. I will add fixes later tonight (12/10/2013)
Anyone interested that knows what they're doing please let me know. I can't do this alone. I'll add more details when it's ready.
Current contributors: @simonsimons34 @awidawad
Status:
It boots nothing really works yet. Build tree is so wonky it gets dates wrong in the build info
Stay tuned
Please don't ask to test this is not for testing anything yet.

Because my version (k2cl) isn't booting on its own yet. Only version that boots is k2ul and possibly k2u. I'm looking to make a single common tree with all the files and dependencies all variants share then make simple and small device trees with all the device specific files and dependencies. Thus, easily supporting all variants (k2cl, k2ul, k2u, k2plc). It will be a lot easier this route to keep all SV variants up to date development wise.

They're just ports. I could be wrong though(and please correct me if I am), but since the OP isn't the actual developer of the ROM, then it can't be put in the original dev forum. Although, I think it could go into the AT&T LG G3 development forum. Just not the original development forum

About the CM12 [ALPHA]

Well,I just want to share some of my review on newest CM12 for our ace 2
Original Thread here
Thanks to Straciatella for sharing this awesome ROM for us... :good: :good:
Okay lets straight to the topic
first boot takes a long time,as expected from the ART runtime,so don't panic.....(you must not )
The UI is very good (its L though...) and smooth, except the app drawer on launcher is little laggy.....
CPU and GPU OC works good (thanks to @PolishVodka for awesome kernel).Novathor settings work for GPU OC (didn't test it for UV and other things)
For swap storage,i can't use the novathor settings to do it in my case.I use the Crashdjent script for it (Thanks to him !! he is awesome :good: :good: )
For gaming, its good (i played the GTA chinatown wars only though...)
Power off and reboot didn't work from the power menu.
Recording video didn't work, the result of the recording turned into green video.
titanium backup works only for restore data in my case.
All the other things are working normally.
Well, thats it.If you want to share your experience just post here man.....
Again, thanks for the great ROM :victory: :victory:
thanks a lot, sad that i got an s5 now
First of all, kudos to all devs Just wondering if RIL is working? And is it possible to mirror this? MediaFire's captcha is somehow not working on me. Can't download and report. Anyways the devs are awesome. How I wish I knew how to do stuff like this lol Happy New Year to all

Anyone can confirm that Clash of Clans didn't work on latest CM12?
There'a a new version! Yay!
I found another bug:
Sometimes when turning on torch in the quick settings there is a quick restart of the whole android ui without any "system is not reponding" message. Also the torch remains off.
Any infos about battery life?
How many screen-on hours etc...

Somebody should make a thread here on XDA and in english so that many people can understand and access the rom easily.
Adaptive streaming is working in 0101. Even in official Youtube app I get 480p oO

I was thinking about making that one.But I don't think i could update the thread quickly when they updated their rom in polish forum,i don't have much free time :crying:
But anyway, you can just go to the original thread and translate the whole page with the Chrome feature though......
There is a new version, the phone call bug is fixed, yay!!!

Dude, I will create a new thread in Development section when ROM will be more for daily use, it's still in Alpha stage and I doesn't see a reason for now.
When camcorder and LPM will be working than new thread will be.
PS. Better to use CWM, Philz or TWRP?
Anyone have antutu score or info about free ram after installing gapps?

best nuga rom no bugs
Can you guys compare this to something more uhh, popular? I guess is the word. Is it a heavily modded AOSP ROM? Like AICP? I'm on the dreaded BrokenOS right now and it is incredibly stable, but it's 6.0. I would jump to Nougat if it was similar. Can someone give a quick review of it? Features, lag issues, any camera issues, does the notification light work properly? Things like that. Thank you.

In the amount of time you wait for someone to spoon feed you your required information, you could have downloaded it, installed and be running it and find out how this works for you.
I have no idea why so many people are so afraid to try something for themselves. If this be the case then flashing is not for you... or is it just most of you have become that lazy.
Sorry for the rant but this need most people here on XDA to be handed everything and not do for yourselves has gotten out of hand.

Maybe because I flashed 5 ROMs in the last week...clean flashes, and I wanted to avoid setting up another ROM that I never heard of, with no change log or feature list, or bug reports that I could find. For example, ambient display is not working, deal breaker for me. Thanks to those who were constructive in this thread so far. Carry on.

I have flashed 5 roms in a day... if it has become too much for you or you do not know about methods where you can flash a rom and restore all you data in a matter of minutes, you are not doing it right. Then again, maybe flashing it not for you.

You're really not helping anyone by portraying this ridiculous elitist attitude to someone trying to innocently get info about an unknown piece of software. Some of us actually need everything to work on their phones instead of being a first adopter. Get off your high horse and stop derailing what was actually turning into an informational thread.
That's the last I have to say about any of this.
Not sure how OP can say this ROM is bug free. I remember trying it when it was first uploaded and it has plenty of bugs. Such as gallery causing the phone to freeze and reboot. I'm sure the aux port isn't working correctly either, etc.

Then stay with stock... issue and complaints are not needed.
Do not ask everyone to hand feed you, do it yourself.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely stick with AICP for now. I've been rolling with the nightlies on that ROM for 10 days or so and every day seems to make progress.
