How to INSERT pics to POST (not attachment, not link but pics) - General Questions and Answers

I can already attach images but for some weird reason I cannot add pics directly to the body.

tnx

You need to go to the forum settings, click on "Edit Options" on the left, then scroll down and change your "Message Editor Interface" to Standard or Enhanced. Then you will see a button to Insert Image (via a link) when you post a message.

Small MMS image

Hi,
I have EnergyRom Genesis
Sept 5, 2009 WWE
I love it but I have a nasty problem w/ MMS images.
Every time i add an image to an MMS message (whether by adding or taking a new photo), the image size (pixels) is reduced and it is so small as to be appreciated by the recipient.
I looked around in the tweaks and settings and can't find any thing related to it.
I hope someone can help me out on this as I can't use the MMS feature at all.
TIA!!
Check the following setting and let us know what it says
Within the MMS program click on the RIGHT menu button, then MMS OPTIONS, then scroll down to PHOTO RESOLUTION. If this is set to QVGA or QQVGA, then your pics will be tiny.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I can't seem to find that option. Here is what I have:
I go to "Messaging"
Menu
Options
I chose "SMS/MMS" from "Tap an account to change settings"
The option there is "Use unicode when necessary"
I can't find "Photo Resolution" anywhere..
I must be missing something...
Thanks
You're not supposed to go to options
In the WM Messaging app, click on MENU, scroll all the way up and you should see MMS OPTIONS,
Hi,,
Thanks and stupid me.. I never realized you could scroll down the menu choices as there was no scroll bar!
Thanks!!!
No problem, there is a little tiny menu bar on the menus that have something below. Its hard to see but if you look closely you will see a dark little bar.
Moved as not ROM Development..
just search for a tiny mms cab fix around here

[Q] Issues with contacts not showing pics

First off am running StarDroid 3.2.1 I don't think it's rom related but user related
I have added pictures of 2 people. They do show up in the phone when I edit the contact. They also show up online when I hover over the contacts name. However they won't show up in the people app or the phone dialer when I scroll to them.I get those grey silhouettes. I do however have one picture visible in there as that contact is linked to a google+ account and that person has picture in there profile.
I do have to say searched the forum for this and came up with this path /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/files it does have the thumbnails for the pictures of the google+ people but not of the non google+ people. The pics that are in my gallery are the ones not showing up.
Am I do something wrong? I thought by editing the contact and adding a picture it would show up in the people app and in the dialer. I haven't tested any other functionality of have a picture added to a contact
Also want to add that the pics that I used from the gallery do show up in the people widget when added to a home screem.
Well after google searching and looking on other forums I finally found my answer
"Go to the Linked icon (upper right corner), then press the menu button. It will give you the option to select contact photo. Click it and it will show the photo options."
I then selected the photo cropped it to what I wanted and I was good to go.

[Q] Attached Pictures in XDA Site Problem

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, it is to do with the XDA Developers' site.
When I used to click on a picture in a posting, the site would show a medium grey layer on top of the site and this would show an enlarged picture with a X button at the top-right corner. If you clicked on this button, then the layer would dissapear and everything was back to normal.
Now when I click on a picture in a post the site has a medium grey layer sitting on top of the viewable (but unclickable) site. I don't see any picture and there is no X button. The only thing to do is to hit the Back button.
I can view the picture if I right-click on the picture and select to open it in a new tab.
I am using IE8 in WinXP. There is no pop-up block on this site.
Same thing happens here, if it is any coincidence, I am also on XP (Sp3) and IE8.
I reckon it has only been doing it for a couple of weeks or so, any XDA System Mods want to fess up to fiddling with the vBulletin settings, or cascading style sheets?
I'll attach a window dump of one of my own image posts. I had clicked on the leftmost image, but in practice it wouldn't matter a damn which. Also, it doesn't matter what the style chooser is set to, 2010 or Classic, the results are the same.
I just tested to see what happened in Firefox. When I clicked on the above post's attached picture, it opened a new page with just the picture in it. I had to hit the Back button to get back to the postings.
This problem only happened a few weeks ago.
When I click an attachment, a grey semi-transparent layer shows up and then I'm redirected to the image's address in the same page.
I don't get any redirection (in both IE and Firefox). My only option is to go Back. When I do this, the Foward button isn't available.
Same for me. Also, if there is more than one attached picture you used to be able to click on one to get the larger image, and then you could cycle through them all from there. Currently you have to open one, back, open the next...etc.

You aren't making any sense.
Are you asking how to attach screenshots in the attachments section of your posts?
If you want to know how to put files in the attachments, you have to use a browser to view the forum instead of an app.
To attach files to your post, when you start your post while on browser, look below the box you are typing in, click the "go advanced" button, then on the next screen, click on "manage attachments", on the next screen, select one of the attachment slots and upload your file, when you have all the files you want uploaded, select "close window" and your attachments should be attached to your post.
