[Completed] Noob Using LG G PRO E980

I am receiving an E980 today, new, AT&T version, unlocked. Since I am a NOOB at Root and Flash, I hope you can point me in the direction for my updating. I have been an Iphone Jailbreaker for the last 3 versions of iphone, so I understand following the corrrect procedures in the correct order.
I started out using Google to get an idea about rooting and flashing, but there is so much info and not everybody shows all the steps to accomplish what I want to do. I am looking to place my contacts which are in a saved vcards file on my desktop. (And I guess that is one of the first things I am supposed to do.) But, just as important, I want to Backup my entire system before making any changes, ROOT my LG PRO G to gain access and FLASH with most current ROM for KitKat,

For a custom recovery to allow you to backup your system and data look further down the original post and here: Freegee OG Pro Edition

hi everybody
i've a problem in my lg optimus black , he doesn't boot up after i tried to install a custom recovery by an app called rashr flash i did a backup first in the same app after that i clicked on insall then the phone reboot and showed that security error message
please help me to solve this problem , the lg is not even my phone please help

[Completed] Lg g2 no recovery

Hi I am new to ROMs and i wanted to get Ressurection Remix on my LG G2. When i tried it kept erroring, i tried wiping again (was rooted and was using TWRP). Well turns out that removed my backup AND Resurrection Remix Rom and now i have nothing to go back on. I dont know how to get either a rom (says no more Root access) or how to reapply stock android to my device (d800 At&T by the way). Id love for help as im screaming my head off of how rediculous this is. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I recently tried to root my LG G3 (d855) with help from this Post http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951
Since this did not seem to work I tried various different methods: All of them stated that my device is rooted but when I went to check on my Phone it wasn't. Then I found out that no Superuser File was installed and this seems to be the reason for it not tho work. Is there a way to install this manually? And how do i do it?
(I don't know much about that kinda stuff so detailed please)

So I wanted to install android 5.0.2 on my LG Optimus G E975, so I installed CWM recovery and then I installed Android 5.0.2 on in and when I restarted it haven't turn up (sry for my bad english), it doesen't do anything, except when I charge it and hold power button, red light starts to flash + I think that something on android rom said E977 or something like that, I installed it anyway, nevertheless that it was for different model I think. Please for help and I don't really want to give it on service or pay something for it, so fell free with answers, anything to download, install, flash.... Thanks!

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
I feel like you can still get to download mode. If so, this resource would be helpful:
> LG Optimus G (International) > Optimus G Android Development > [Index] LG Optimus G [E975] Roms/Kernels/Mods & Tools/Root (Daily Update)
Just need to download for the carrier and country your phone was made for onto your PC, and use the emergency tool.
