Seeking Portable NFS Solution compatible with Shield - Shield Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On my other handhelds/tablets I use the following device:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Verbatim-98243-MediaShare-Wireless/dp/B00CZ0P0PS
With CIFS mounting this allows me to essentially add an entire 1TB of disk space which really helps with having lots of roms, music and videos on the go. I can't get CIFS mounting working on the Nvidia Shield Tablet due to missing kernel modules but have discovered that NFS mounting is working on stock for the Nvidia Shield Tablet. The issue here is the firmware of the Verbatim MediaShare Wireless doesn't support NFS.
So does anyone out there use a similar device which does support NFS mounting?

NFS mounts over SSH

Hello there, I've recently built and tested cifs and nfs kernel modules. I've found nfs to be much better behaved than cifs. Using the directio option for cifs reduced alot of the stuttering during media playback, but nfs performance appears to blow cifs out the water on android. Getting cifs working over an ssh tunnel appears straight forward enough, but I'm having trouble with nfs. If anyone has been successful in the department, I'd be excited to hear about it!
Gief sshfs tbh

Xinput emulation + streaming possible?

The main challenge with streaming from a non nvidia or lower grade nvidia gpu is
xinput.
Despite streaming the game flawlessly Controller support does not work on the shield gamepad natively, they just work as keyboard WASD etc buttons for playing games which is not comfortable.
Is it possible to overcome this limitation by getting SHIELD recognized as a 360 controller/detected as a xinput device.
This would complete the gaming experience. Somehow this is done in GFE and shield's native streaming.
Not sure what you mean. Are you trying to use the native nvidia streaming or something else? If it is something else you can try to use the xbox360 controller emulator.

streaming via splastop, and I want to emulate the 360 controlled on the shield gamepad.
example
I connect 360 controller to pc, now the game will work with controller support on.
I stream the game to my shield, But i dont want to use the attached controller on the pc, I want to emulate the controller on my shield.
Don't know any way to do that one.
Kainy does this perfectly! And has many other great features. Say goodbye to x360ce!

[Q] No love for the HP Slate 17?

There is next to none for information on this tablet which I find surprising. I picked one up and I think for the features and price it is a fairly good deal. Who doesn't want a bigger android tablet that is still portable?
I just wish there was a root for this as I would like to use the sixaxxis app and my ps4 controllers. I can bind the controllers by BT, but there's about .5 second input lag. Also whether I connect 2 controllers by usb or BT, android sees them as one controller. Is there any solution for this without root?
The other thing is that google play games won't sync progress. I did a clean restore and it still doesn't work. Perhaps the x86 architecture has some compatibility issues.

Streaming pcsx2 to nvidia shield tv

Has anyone been able to set this up properly? I added PCSX2 as a non-steam game. When i load steam on my pc it works in that it launches pcsx2 properly and i can use the mouse to launch any game, but when i launch game streaming from the nvidia shield and try to launch pcsx2 it never load properly and just crashes. Is this an issue with my gpu not being powerful enough? I have a intel core i5-4600k CPU and geforce gtx 650 card. Any help would be appreciated.
I stream dolphin flawlessly. I would do it all through the Nvidia Experience software though. Just go in to Experience, then SHIELD tab and add the exe manually. Then access it from Gamestream in the Nvidia software on the SHIELD. That sounds about right but I'm posting this from work. If it's any different I'll update this later.
Basically you're streaming the emulator without adding Steam to the equation. Works for pretty much anything I've tried so far and I forget or getting this muddled... but it might enable you to add PCSX2 directly to the launcher home screen.
You really don't have to even add individual games themselves. I just add remote desktop as an application, then open programs within that session without any issues, including any emulators, MMO clients, web browsers, even virtual machines running on that desktop. It's great. Full controller support. I run a 4K main display and this will even fit that to the Shield Portable's display without losing anything in the process. This really is in my opinion, the best way to use the Shield Portable.

New to LineageOS. New Nvidia Shield Tablet

Hey guys, I recently bought an Nvidia Sheild K1 tablet from e-bay. It had LineageOS preinstalled on it and so far it's been great. I've had no issues so far, Borderlands and Halflife 2 runs well and I can stream my steam library to the device. But I can't find the native Nvidia keymapper program to map touch controls to my gamepad. The tablet I got didn't come with the controller so I guess my question is dose LineageOS have this feature and if it does do I need the Nvidia Controller to use it?
Far as I am aware, you need the stock NVIDIA ROM (or at least a stock based custom ROM) to use the NVIDIA controller. I think there are a couple threads about folks using alternate controllers, if you search around this device forum section (I personally have not).
I would install the 1controller magisk module that adds .kl files for different controllers https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-1controller-1-module-to-support-t3865889
