[Q] Help with Acer Iconia A1-810 - General Questions and Answers

Hello everyone,
I rooted my A1-810 while it was running jelly bean and then I accidently updated it. Now i cannot connect to any of the google services and none of the super user apps work (they all say that SU binary is out of date). I am unable to re-root or unroot using the toolking since the current firmware is Acer_AC0K0_A1-810_1.029.00_WW_GEN1 and i cannot find any image files for it and all the fixes for the google sign in issue requrie a root. Is there anything i can do or is it possible to fully format the tablet (not factory reset) and install another firmware?
Thank you in advance .

[Q] Lenovo A820 - Lose root after update to S149

Hi guys,
so I bought my Lenovo A820 rooted with a stock S135 ROM. An update came through saying it needed to be updated to S149, and I stupidly updated it through the system without checking first or creating a backup of my current ROM. Now my phone has loads of Chinese apps installed, I cannot use the play store as it says "no connection" and root checker says there are no SuperSU binaries installed.
My problem is that I was hoping to install the Etotalk MOD ROM which they put on their website for sale a few days ago. I should be receiving the ROM from them on Monday, however I cannot install it if my phone is not rooted.
So basically, is there any way I can re root my phone, downgrade it back to S135 so I can install CWM recovery, and then the Etotalk ROM? Any help of suggestions any of you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance!

[Q] Howto update rooted A1-810 Iconia

Hi!
I rooted my Asus Iconia A1-810 with the RV21RC02_WW_GEN1 files according to the thread:[ToolKit] Acer Iconia v0.8.1 ***New: Supporting A3-A10 / New: Pull system.img.gz*** http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240029
This was done several month ago...
But some of my apps need me to update to newer firmware according to the app-developers.
Unfortunately I don't know the best way to upgrade a already rooted device ?? Whats the easiest way ?
Do I need to first unroot the device and do firmware upgrade.... or is it possible to upgrade directly ?
Is there some good howto out there ?
Many Thanks
Marcus
Someone here ought to have information that might help me...please!
Hos do I update the firmware on a rooted device ? In my case asus a1-810.. ?
Thanks
Marcus
*argh* .... This is killing me...
I've read everything in the Acer Iconia Toolkit thread...... but because I have less then 10 post I'm not authorized to ask any questions in that thread ?????
So I'll have to ask here until someone answers or I reach 10 posts...
Anyhow...
My system.img.gz that is currently loaded and rooted is RV21RC02_WW_GEN1.
But there is no one offering a Stock / unrooted image for that !?!?
I've tried to to stock firmware upgrade through menu with the tablet rooted - NOT WORKING
I've tried uninstalling the SuperSU with the unroot-option in SuperSU menu. -NOT WORKING
I've was about to try the unroot option in the toolkit from windows.... but it says i need a stock image in the system_image folder ? -Dont have stock image RV21RC02_WW_GEN1
I've read that it's not a good idea to try and upgrade with another image (not RV21RC02_WW_GEN1), Then i'll brick the tablet....
But what should I do ???
/Marcus
Same problem
I have exactly the same problem with my rooted Acer A1-810.
I used the toolkit to root my pad (RV21RC02_WW_GEN) a couple of months ago. And now I would like to find the original stock rom so I could unroot my device and update it. I have tested the same things that you tested but it didn't help.

unroot Teclast X89 stock ROM for GFE

Hi all, I am new to this.
My company decided to use Good for Enterprise to run email on Mobile. I am using Xiaomi developer version and I don't wanna lose developers features. So, I bought a Teclast X89 for it has dual OS. So bad, GFE complaints my newly bought X89 is rooted and refuses to run.
I tried numbers of methods to get rigid of it but still in vain. I tried-
1. resintall from scratch with the stock ROM....failed....still complaining rooted
2. rooted it and deleted all busybox related files, deleted su and unroot it using root software.......failed.......still complaining rooted
3. rooted it and deleted all bushbox related files, deleted su and unroot is using unroot feature of superuser and supercleaner.......failed.....still complaining rooted.
Every time after unrooted, I checked with root checker software and those checker software didnt find any root trace. But, GFE is still complaining rooted.
Please, please.....anyone can help to completely unroot my Teclast X89 so that I can successfully install GFE.
Thanks in advance
that hapends to me seching on the net we have to unlock the bootloader from the teclast

[tf303k] twrp ?

Hello,
On my TF303K already rooted under JB 4.4.2 , I noticed that the original recovery didn't get the SAVE/RESTORE option to use a Nandroid backup
Is there a way for getting TWRP to work on this tablet. ?
I haven't seen yet any thread about that .
I'm wondering if I could try to install the same TWRP as NEXUS 7 2013 ( ASUS product), which processor, screen definition and a lot of materials are the same .
Is there a risk of brick ?
One more question : this tablet is running JB 4.4.2 rooted . Do I have to unroot it ( via SuperSU option) before installing manually the update to MM provided by Asus on the Web ,
or can this be done directly ?
If anybody heard of a solution around all that , I would be happy to read it.
Thank you
