[Q] Looking for custom kernel - General Questions and Answers

hello
i have an alcatel one touch pop c1 with xperia custom rom
kernel version is 3.4.5 and the build number jelly bean
my question is that iam looking for a custom kernel that is compatiball with this combination plz help as i have gotten this far allready but now iam stuck in the procces of wanting a faster phone
because this ROM has no overclock support

there is a KK rom that will work a bit better
as kk was designed for phones with less than 1gb ram in mind
but jb was saposed to have 1gb ram
(gad darn you cheep manafacturers)

hoping all developers are doing great i just got a chinese android called vi-wa v1 dual sim 4.2.2 kernel 3.4.5 it looks 100% like karbonn A1+ from outside so far hardware is also same only ram is reduced to 229mb i have rooted it but cant seems to have CWM on it.if any one can help me to get CWM or custom rom it will be great waiting to hear from someone soon.

[Q] difference between custom rom and custom kernel

I want to overclock my device. Its intex aqua y2 pro. I hv searched the whole web but didn't found any custom kernel or rom for my device. And in order to overclock my device i need to flash a custom kernel. Will i be successful if I'll flash a custom rom or kernel made for another device?
Please help me.

I have xperia tipo and earlier I flashed xperia ion rom suddenly Mobile got bricked,this is becoz not every device has same hardware and drivers
The kernel, put very simply, is a bit of software that tells the operating system how to use the hardware. CPU, GPU, RAM, screen, buttons, etc. Thus, kernels are device specific. ROMs are also device specific. NEVER flash a ROM, kernel, or recovery that isn't for your specific device, unless you want a battery powered paperweight.
But i discovered a lollipop custom update for unite 2. I asked there should i flash it in my intex aqua y2 pro. They said yes you can. Also on another website it is written that device name is only for personal preference. But a device with same android version is also compatible. I dont know what to do? Also can i overclock my processor without flashing a custom kernel? My current pre installed kernel version is 3.4
Don't flash anything unless it is specifically for your device. You will get a very expensive paperweight if you just flash random things.

I tried to flash custom roms but failed.I decided to use stock but to overclock it.I'm new here so I'll just ask for opinion,which kernel is best(user choices) for stock JB 4.1.2 Unlocked Bootloader,for overclocking and gaming,but stable too.

[ROM PORT] HFS ROM For Xperia Miro (For LB/ULB) working only stock kernel?

Hi all I have problem with this rom in title He is working only with stock kernel but this kernel can be overclocked i want oc miro because this is old phone and is very slow with stock 800 mhz I try to run first time on stock kernel and when he started i shut it down then flash with flashtool kernel vengeance but that don't work Have somebody solution of this problem? P.S in my opinion rom is great and beautiflul like lollipop Thanks for answer Sorry for my bad english
