How to get max of sound quality for music listening? - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Yo,
I like to listen to music, so i'd like to tweak the sound parameters on the tablet to my taste.
What can be done in this direction?
Maybe you can recommend me some apps that are good to play with EQ and other sound influenting factors?

A good music player with a great equalizer (but a somewhat unintuitive in terms of GUI) is N7Player.

And maby using Viper4Android?

so many agree that Viper4Android + poweramp is a great way to go... have not tested viper on the note pro yet.. but on my note 3 (and all my others allways use it on) its awesome and allows you to teak your sound as you are asking
From my Fired-up Note Pro 12.2!

Neutron player. It's has alooooot of options and its own "sound engine" or w/e. Really customizable and sounds great to my ears. Alternatively you could get a external USB DAC/AMP like the fiio e18.

Best Android EQ program/music player with EQ

So I'm not completely satisfied with Vibrant's default music player and its EQ. I tried Astro Player but the EQ on that is crap. I found out MixZing has THE EQ I'm looking for and it sounds quite amazing but the app itself is not ideal as a music player and the EQ taxes the CPU = lower battery. Is there another player with a similar EQ or is there a program I can use to force a EQ over the ENTIRE phone (not just music player) so that I can then use any music player. I don't care if I have to root the device to get such an app to work.
I'm new to Android coming from Nokia XpressMusic series (which sound amazing with their EQs) so looking to replicate that. It's a HIGH priority for me being an audiophile.

Sound quality stock player vs. alternatives

Hello guys,
I would like to ask you, if you consider the sound output of the stock player better than alternative players (PowerAmp, PlayerPro etc.). I came from Galaxy S which has excellent sound output in stock player but alternatives were not so good.
I´m using Koss Spark Plug headphones. I don´t use stock player because of non-customizable equalizer.
What do you think?
I used to use Winamp but I use the stock on the Sensation mainly due to SRS Enhancement. It makes my Moto H17 have actual bass

I'm coming from PowerAmp Pro on HD2, using stock app on Sensation4G and couldn't be more pleasantly surprised. I'm an audiophile listening to flacs in all this and couldnt be happier
stock players seem to be much better than purchased apps now. my vibrant had SRS, G2x has DTS (Dolby), and this has SRS? sweeeeetness didn't know that. wow i shouldn't have bought power amp 2 days ago...
But SRS has not extra options has it? Is it possible to customize it a little bit?
interesting I have not reyes the stock at all been using poweramp out the box. I'm gonna try the stock though.

@KillaHurtz,
How do you play flac in stock player? I recently bought PowerAMP to be able to play flac (and PowerAMP is very oke). As far as I understood flac is not native supported in Android (3.1 seems to have it added).
the stock player should have a equalizer if you open up the stock music player and up in the top right you can select the SRS or equalizer

Just saying that's my normal prefrence, sorry if I miscommunicated that.
I use Player Pro /w DSP pack so that I can have a pre-amp on top of my other EQ settings, that player pro offers normally.
Stock Music player has pretty good sound output, my only complaint is no customization options in the EQ/No Pre-Amp = Not loud enough for me or customizable enough. Player Pro is both!
I used to htc player but it does not retain the position of the song, when I listen to a mix that lasts 2 hours it starts from the beginning every time
do you have the same problem ?
this stock player sounds better than my poweramp. think im gonna use it for now.

SRS Wow and Dolby Mobile Sound

I've been using DoubleTwist, Winamp, and PowerAMP recently to decide which I like best. I like doubletwist for its interface and streaming features available for upgrade, i like winamp for overall features and a clean and simple interface, and i like PowerAMP for its wide array of sound mixing, and EQ options. I'm currently on LeeDroid, so i have the SRS and Dolby settings, but if i went to CM7, or in the other players in general, how do i access these settings? I've searched the forum and found one check box in Poweramp, but how about the others?
The only reason I ask is cause, with my cheap headphones, SRS makes a difference. With my expensive in-ear monitors, i use a manual EQ or DSP manager, but with the built in speaker, or cheap earphones, SRS and Dolby work fine.
Thanks for the help
I don't know about the other players but I use CM7 and PowerAMP, I love it for all the eq settings you can do, I have different set ups for all my headphones. And in the EQ settings there is a small button that says DHD and when you click it you can turn on SRS and Dolby.

Best Loseless Music Player

Guys,
What do you think is the best loseless music player for SG Note?
I will use my Galaxy Note to play all my FLAC loseless audio files.
Will connect my Note to a pre-amp -> tube buffer -> power amp -> speakers
Thanks a lot
All players should be able to play FLAC, since the phone supports FLAC, but PowerAMP is easily the best music player out there.

Thanks bro
My vote goes to Neutron MP.
Thanks for the reminder about Neutron, seen it mentioned a couple of times, but not yet checked it out. Will do that tomorrow.
Cloudskipper - try it best I used paid or free app. It's free
Cloudskipper looks good, great even for free, but doesn't look like it can match PowerAMP or Neutron MP for features or sound quality (which seems like it was the OP's main concern given the question about lossless).
well if op is playing flac or wav lossless as I do. All he needs is a player which plays these formats well and an eq. to flatten the inherent bass and treble booast on android. Dont think he needs the tone controls on power amp nor all the gizmo on neutron. I have tried the majority of the players available and consider Cloudskipper the most appropriate for my needs.
Using Westone 4 and Shure se535 special edition.

Edge? What is the ultimate music listening/management suite of apps for the S7 edge?

Folks, I have a pretty large non-DRM .mp3 music library in iTunes. I have used ISyncr in the past, with my Galaxy s5, to bring down playlists and music and synchronize my Android phone to iTunes. Lately it hasn't been working well, probably because I have well over a thousand playlists.
I am also looking for the best music player, and wish to add Lyrics, and am intrigued by the Viper 4Android sound app, but I don't want to root my phone.
What do you all recommend as the best music player, the best app to sync iTunes, the best audio effects suite of apps to a music lover? Thanks so very much in advance for your help!
I've used all the free and paid music players over the years. Neutron is truly the only professional solution. It literally has every feature, where most players offer half of what neutron does. Poweramp is good for consumers too. Idk about iTunes syncing, I organize all my music in folders. Neutron has the most full featured non-root EQ, but if you're rooted eXtreme beats is coming out with a new revision soon.
for a regular user i think poweramp is the best music player.. nice sound and controls plus skinning. you can import playlists and export them as well.
Neutron is widely considered the best by audiophiles followed by Onkyo player (unlocked).
personally i leave the mp3 tagging stuff off of the phone. I havent found any apps that will properly list and tag mp3's as well as i can do it on a computer.
Assuming you're on windows, use MP3Tag to manage all your tags. it works on way more than mp3's, but it is by far the best solution for media library management.
For playback, i jump around on windows. Musicbee looks nice and is full featured. Winamp is nice. Foobar is very spartan and quite ugly but it works well and you can make it look more or less however you want, though it takes a lot of effort.
On the phone itself i use poweramp for music playback (though i do find the interface a bit clunky, and i dislike the "queue" thing it does). Neutron always gets good ratings. I had a horrible time with onkyo hf player. winamp is OK at best.
For audiobooks, i use SmartAudiobook Player. there are some weird bugginess issues, like when my head unit automatically starts the audiobook app instead of music, and refuses to play nice with it. Like if i stop the audiobook player and start music, sometimes the music will immediately stop and audiobooks will play instead. but my car is so damn loud that i use headphones while driving most of the time anyways.
I think JetAudio plus does a great job.
Where do I start lol...I have slowly turned into an audiophile and always look for the best audio on my phone so I have tried just about all the most popular music players / audio configs i could find on my phone,
I have also tried external DACS / Amplifiers and to be honest with my setup did not do much for me..I am running SOL Master Tracks XC headphones which are amazing with this phone and would totally recommend Neutron or Poweramp they seem to give the best sound from all I have tried and are also very customisable with the sound...
ViperFX is a must!! and the options / tweaks are just insane and what a difference it makes with a simple change of Convoler and EQ,
I use ViperFX with Dolby Atmos and Beats Audio which seems to me the best option and I flick between Neutron and Poweramp which i am still not decided on
What do you guys think of PlayerPro Music Player v3.7 ? I think it has the most features but I don't know how it compares to others, so I need your help to decide .

Rocket Player Pro is great! Using it for years!
Been using Timber for a bit now. Mostly use it because it looks really slick. I like the material design it has.

Player pro amazing app, I switched to Neutron which I am currently using and was using Poweramp before that, I find Neutron to give a more Natural better sound than others but Neutron / Poweramp / Player Pro and Jet music are ones id recommend
I'm a Poweramp fan myself.
There's an option in the app to opt into the beta, which let's you try an overhauled new version which improves on a lot of the old usability issues.

I use this. I've used it for a few years. I love it. Plenty of skins, downloadable DSP Pack for additional audio controls, has it's own lock screen. :good:
Thank you for your replies..
So I guess if I stick with PlayerPro Music Player ,I am not missing any other features and the sound of other players is not greater/nicer than this ?!
Stock, because there's no real difference.
the best is power amp beta version try someday
