Hi,
I was trying to update my GS4 OTA to KitKat 4.4.4 but I had to cancel the update over WIFI and leave the house. When I tried to update it again it shows that my device is up to date. But it's still on 4.4.2.
Somehow it thinks that I have the 4.4.4 I think. Why do you think this is happening ?
I reset my device and nothing is different. Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Hi there i recently bought a Samsung galaxy Nexus unlocked, build ITL41F.I9250XEKK9 its an att docomo phone that i bought off amazon.
Anyway when i go to search for updates it says the phone is up to date and there are no new updates and i'm currently running android 4.0.1.
I did seach google, but i really no nothing about roms and flashing devices so i didn't really understand much.
By the way the first time i connected the phone to wifi it updates the phone but it only did this once. The current version is ITL41F don't no what it was before the update.
Can someone help me or give me a guide to how to update my galaxy nexus ITL41F to a new version of ICS. By flashing the device and using an official ICS rom.
Any help greatly appreciated.
any help anyone?
Same problem here
I've got the same problem here. It installs a "system update" periodically but I'm still suck on 4.0.1. My build # and purchase location are the same. Did yours come bootloader unlocked, i.e., do you see the padlock icon when you first turn on the device? Unfortunately I didn't figure out what the padlock icon meant until it was too late to return it to Amazon.
I'm starting to get worried that someone sold me a hacked firmware that is sniffing my passwords...has that ever happened?
Hi
So I was rooted, and I heard about the bug fixes for the new update Lollipop 5.1.1, so I decided to unroot and install the update through Samsung Kies.
But, I am really confused. After the update completes, on Kies and when I click, "Update Now" it says I have the latest version. But then I look under "About Phone" and it shows "Android Version: 5.0".
Is this normal? Does it not show 5.1.1? The update didn't fail, it said it was applied successfully. And when I go into Download Mode (Odin Mode) it shows I have the Samsung Default Binary and the Official Version, etc. etc.
So,
Was it supposed to just show 5.0? Is it actually 5.1.1?
Thanks in advance,

Hi there,
Nothing looks wrong, just looks like Sprint is keeping you on 5.0 for now...
The Android 5.0 update for Galaxy S5 owners with Sprint (model number SM-G900P) can now be downloaded OTA. To see if the update is waiting for you, just go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update.

Any further questions about this device, please feel free to ask in the > Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 5 > Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Hope this helps.
Facing an odd issue, it appears in Kies and says the update to lollipop is available for the device (SM-N915G, XSA, Australia) the phone is unlocked, so it's not through a carrier and it was brought outright, when plugged into kies it says there's an update available, click update, nothing happens at all after proceeding with "Next" "Update" etc.
The update doesn't appear in Settings > About device > System update. What can I do?
(PS. Not a rooted device, not modded, no TWRP/CWM, not unlocked bootloader or anything, keeping 100% stock please.)
I've acquired a note 10.1 (GT-N8010) on 4.1.2 and when I try to do software update is says "your device has been modified"
I'm guessing that it's been rooted but it's not rooted now. Can i get this to update at all?
TIA

If you are trying to do the update via OTA, this might be your problem. Hook it up to your pc and use Kies and it should update it up to lollipop 5.1.1 for you. If this doesn't work, you might do a search on here on how to download the firmware and use an app called Odin to manually update it.
Hey guys,
I have the SAMSUNG-SM-N915A model number and the stock version Build number LMY47X.N915AUCS2C017 Baseband version on my phone. It works like a charm after spending days trying other stock build version I found online that had so many problems restarting the phone over and over. AT&T is trying to force a software update to 6.0 on my phone which simply wont work as the regular software update bricks my phone for some reason. Is there a setting I'm missing the just tells the phone not to accept any software updates from AT&T? I'm almost positive this update will screw weeks of tinkering and I finally got it working with 5.1.1. I want it to stay this way. Any ideas?
Thanks

Go to settings/security.
You'll find the update settings in there IIRC.
closest thing I see too that is "security policy updates option which is already check off for automatic updates. It seems to be the Device management that's always trying to download the software update and force update. Is this a hidden stock application?

Sorry I took so long getting back.
It's been a while since my 5.1.1 days.
Check in the section that says about device.
You should find your updates on/off listed in there.
You might want to turn off the cloud sync'ing settings as well.
