i tried changing them using root browser but it says error, some system files do not allow permission changes.

that guide is for CM7
Did you try decompiling settings.apk?
Look for drawable>settings_bg.png change to the desired and see

can u provide a tutorial of it? It will help many people for creating themes
Ofcourse I wil provide but have to fixed so many things my styles.xml is completely messed up to make it work.

when you write that guide how to compile right systemUI.apk.. because now i get my statusbar disappear if i compile it.. and even i dont chhange anything..
3Minit Framework has started look as the screen shot to see my first works so far I have added:
Show/hide time
Show/hide am/pm
Add date to statusbar
Add day to statusbar
Day and date allcaps
Any color clock and date
1% batt mod
Extended power menu
I will add center right clock option and some others and upload soon I will keep you noted also statusbar is now transparent always even with custom background set.

I've seen guides on how to code etc, but tt's not my thing....
Now what I'd want, and hope tt someone can help me with, is the following:
The menu which shows jour installed apks, widgets and favorites has a nasty black background (like the dropdown menu btw). Any easy solution for a no-programmer to have this transparent ?

Have you try any launcher? I have nova and you can set the app drawer background transparent...

Except...circle widget doesn't work and One MoreClock doesn't seem to het a geolocation.
Any ideas?

If you're rooted, attach the homescreen.apk and I'll take care of the mod for you. I haven't personally done it since I'm not bothered by the black bg but I'm capable of doing it. All you'll have to do is switch the stock one with the modified one

Which version of android are you running? Would you mind also uploading your framework-res.apk. I'm having issues recompiling using my 4.1.2 from Rogers

i'm running carbon 4.2.2, not sure where to locate the framework.res...
Turns out i didn't need it.
Here's the Homescreen.apk
Push it to system/apps & fix permissions to match with your current homescreen.apk
Also you might want to make a back up first

* this should be ok with stock 4.1.2 (rooted)?
* I copy the original apk "just in case"
* I place the new one in system apps
* fix permissons: through Safestrap?

I don't think it would work on 4.1.2 since the file is for 4.2.2. Send me your Homescreen.apk and framework-res.apk and I'll give it a shot. I'm just waiting for feedback for the one I did

OK for the Homescreen.apk ; the framework though - sorry, don't see it....
If it doesn't work, a pity, but no issue; I'm using Nova currently and tt'a already quite good (just the circle clock issue...)

Homescreen.apk is located in system/apps
Framework-res.apk is located in system/framework

MIUI for i9500 is finally here!!!!!

mega theme pack
simply unzip the file and place all the things in miui folder (found in phone memory)!!!

go to my files and then internal storage and look for miui and inside that you will find theme folder
Found out how to enable those themes
You need to go to Local in Themes section in Mobile and you need to Import all the themes. Viola the imported theme will show up in the Local section. I have attached Screenshots for it and Highlighted in Red Color where to go. Hope you guys understand it..
I think its not necessary to keep them under MIUI--->Theme folder. As we are importing we can place it any where I think soo. Am not sure how it worked in previous version of MIUI but this version it works like mentioned above

I've never made any Mod or apk so say if you like my design
For now it seems to work only for devices with root. I will work for this issue!!

Just Download the apk in the attachments and install it. Use it in your Homescreen like any other design.

I had removed that image to look and feel like KitKat
How did you make transparent nevibar? The only think that changed on my Z1 after applying this theme is wallpaper

It's android 4.4 theme. To edit rest you must edit framework but it's hard to do if you don't know how to do it.

I didn't have changed any framework its just an design apk like the others from the 4.3 update i don't know why it don't work for you

I install theme again, change five theme, and back to Kit Kat theme, nothing... Theme all time changed only HS and LS...
Xperia Z1 the best.
Be sure that you have ticked the kitkat design in the menu!
