When I enter *#06# in the dialer the IMEI is different than the one in the settings. I restored my EFS and it's still the same
I dunno what to do at this point, how do I change it back?
Never mind. Can the mods delete this thread? *#06# shows my MEID not my IMEI, I feel stupid now.

I lost my IMEI and me MEID. Was able to restore the IMEI, but not MEID.
It's not behind the battery or on the box. Any ideas?

did you restore IMEI from qcn backup or by manually retyping it in the QPST?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
Like an idiot, I didn't make a backup (was literally too lazy to run the script - irony, had to run it after I lost IMEI).
So I injected successfully. MEID was lost in the first place, so I didn't have it to inject - it's not on my box or on the label behind the battery.
Someone said MEID isn't important for voice. I'm fine with domestic roaming as long as I can get voice back.
Your meid is just 0xIMEI(minus last digit)
Or are you looking for the Dec version and not the hex?
Sent from my SGS3 on Synergy Nightlies
Ahhh I didn't know that. No one ever provided a straight answer. I searched for quite a while. Thanks for that!
Can't I just convert hex to dec fairly easily? It's not like VZW requires any sort of extra translation, right?
Right now, my MEID in 'status' reads: 00000000000000
Thanks for the help! When I get home I'm gonna reactivate my phone, flash the phone again (someone told me that all I really had to do was flash a new nightly of CM10 over the one that messed it up and I'd be back to roaming, which I'm okay with).
i have a samsung sgh l700.
i have dialled #*7337#
and now imei number of my phone is changed. it shows 000000000000000 number as imei.
is there any way to restore my orignal imei number.
my orignal imei number was 358224022597094.
plz help me to fix it.
hey,
i have 2 note2 n7105, i never make gsm worked, event restoring efs(efs bckpro or 'dd' the efs partition). imei were readable typing *#06#
i bring them to a repair center, they used a Z3 box on both. both still gave baseband error.
they told me, my custom rom (DN3) may disturb process...
so i KIES both phone without error. i tried sim card to verify, 1 read gsm network but does not connect, (normal problem)
BUT second make call and receive with imei NULL/NULL (?), by typing *#06*
how it is possible?
is it legit to phone without imei?

Seems to be a similar issue like here: [Q]Null Imei, Baseband Unknown N7105 by Emprt.
With a "broken" EFS partition.
Check this thread: Baseband Unknown and IMEI Null NOW WORKING by karlonicolas.
Maybe this will work in your case too.
Sometimes reflashing the modem/baseband can help to get back the correct IMEI.
And for the next time, please backup your EFS partition like described here: [WARNING! + GUIDE] Backup and Restore IMEI / NV Data Procedure for GT-I9305 by lyriquidperfection.
Good luck !

So I have 2 phones (both S7e), but one lost its IMEI / having "can't mount /efs" problem. This phone unluckily doesn't have a back up of its own EFS / IMEI digitally, but it still has the phone sticker that has its associated IMEI. Now, my plan was to TWRP restore a backup from the working phone to the unusable one so that I can fix the EFS problem and right after, "edit" the IMEI number to what it's supposed to according to the sticker left on the phone.
My questions are:
1) is this possible?
2) if so, can someone help me find out the proper steps/tools to help me change the IMEI on the 2nd phone with the temporarily duplicated IMEI
3) any tips on making sure I don't have both phones running and get blacklisted for having 2 phones with the same IMEI on i was thinking just to leave both phones on airplane mode or at the very least, turn off the first phone until I get the second phone working

Greetings!
I have the phone and after flashing IMEI dropped to some random one (111111111111119 on both IMEI1 and IMEI2). I wrote the proper ones using MOBILETESTER but the phone still shows no signal. What can I do? Can it be IMEI SV or SN problem, as IDK what originally was there and no backup of course.
OK, so I edited the SN number, now it shows the proper one in *#06#, however, it cannot still see the SIM. Now I don't know what to do. Could anyone help me?
BUMP. One more and I'm sadly done with this with no solution…
