Hi Guys,
iam at a point where i cant finish my rooting.
i Installed the GingerBreak 1.2 on my lowbudget LG P350.
I installed the SuperUser App and bought an App "Backup Titanium" wich needs root. The SuperUser app asked for permission for the backup tool, but it still wont work. It says "no root permission" and something with "BusyBox".
Unfortunatly i cant install the BusyBox App = not supported 4 the phone
where can i get the apk of the right BusyBox?
for e.g. ebay is also not supported, but installing with the apk it works fine
I wanna make an backup before tuning my phone.
regards
Tylonhh, Install and use the BusyBox installer application.

1.where did you installed gingerbreak? On SD of device?
2. You don't have to install superuser. It is installed by Gingerbreak
3. Did you pushed "root"?
Friends
I just downloaded the Viper4ANDROID XHIFI Mod on my rooted Galaxy Nexus running Android 4.3 and also has BusyBox 1.21.1 installed
After installing V4A when I opened the app I was prompted with the driver I want to install; not knowing which is the right one for me I selected CortexAX with NEON (please advise me on the best to choose)
After that I repeatedly got the message "Driver install failed. Please confirm your phone has been rooted and busybox installed" - both of which has been done already. No matter which driver I select, I keep getting the same error.
I previously installed the V4A available on the Play Store but thought of getting the one straight from XDA
Please advise on how to get the driver installed and which is the right one for me
Many thanks!

There's a reply the official thread mentioning mounting with Terminal Emulator. I don't have enough post count to ask that member if there is anything necessary after installing drivers, like unmounting, or anything else.

Did you ever solve this issue? I'm seeing the same problem.
Hello
Viper4Android XHIFI project has been stopped now by the developer .First try different drivers during installation .If it doesn't work try reinstalling busybox , it happened to me sometime back . Before that try V4A FX app also if it works then XHIFI may be incompatible . Last chance is to get the desired V4A driver (libv4a_xx_xx.so kernel file) from extracting apk and to place it in /system/lib/audio/ folder manually and reboot .
Hope it works

Thanks. V4A FX app appeared to install the driver fine, and I guess I don't need XHiFi if I have that. However, even though it is installed, it doesn't sound as if it is having any effect. I'll try uninstalling and re-installing it again.

Cheers ! Did you reboot after installing V4A FX driver ? If not do it and by itself V4A will be disabled and you should enable it in the master power controls in different sections (phone-speaker,headset,bluetooth,usb) of V4A app . Then you can modify each settings for your needs in realtime while hearing music . You can also check if driver is working or not in options/Driver Status . If any of these doesn't work use FX compatible mode in options .
Hit Thanks if it works !!

Things are working now, thanks. I wound up needing to remove XHiFI and V4A FX, then re-installed just V4A, re-installed the driver, rebooted, reset it to be default music effect, and it's working again.
I had this issue with my LG G2 (Verizon model) I was trying to install the Viper driver (High Quality sound) but my busybox couldn't install. "Unable to verify my root" error. So I tried a different route...
Use this app to install busybox (instead of the official one) and it should work.

Where can I find that kernel file? I am having the same issue. The message is "Driver Install Failed, the busybox found on your device does not work.
This usually means you installed the wrong or broken busybox, V4A needs stericson bisybox to work. if you sure about having installed the proper busybox, then please confirm your device has been totally rooted."
Phone- Sony Xperia C
1. My device is properly rooted.
2. Busybox is same to which the app redirects.
What are my options?

No succes after uncheck the namespace checkbox and reboot.
Nexus 5 MMB29x
If this helps, running:
Busybox Free version 1.24.1
Installed in system/xbin AND system/bin (dropdown on Busybox install screen under version)
SuperSU - Mount namespace separation UNCHECKED
SELinuxModeChanger set to PERMISSIVE
That did it! Thanks for superfast support!

Worked for me as well! Wondering if this is a recent problem as I've had Viper installed up to a few days ago. Had to install on a new phone, same model.
Hi guys. I have a weird problem... I have a vf685 with android 4.4.2
Im trying to install viper audio(v4a) from this site but it fails and says its due to a problem with busy box or my device is not "completely rooted". I am rooted and used several root checker apps to confirm. I have twrp installed as well, xposed modules, root explorers, etc. Everything works fine... Except v4a and also when I open mtk droid tools the square is orange/yellow and it should be green, i have to first click to get root permission. I used king root(not kingo root) to root it, its the only one that seems to work on this phone, I didn't like the superuser app from kingroot so I searched google and found a zip file to replace kinguser with SuperSU and installed with terminal emulator. Is my device only partially rooted (if that's possible) or if not what else could it be?
P.S. its not a problem with busybox, although busybox is installed to /system/bin. Not to /system/xbin
Please help!

Hi,
Try asking in the official XDA thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
Good luck
I've got busybox installed properly, it's Stericson's, I've checked if it's working and it is, I have given root permission to V4A and I have plenty of space for the drivers to be installed. I'm on a rooted h959 15e image, I'm not really willing to revert back to previous software versions, and I'm stuck with this problem. The exact message I get is "Driver install failed: The busybox installation found on your device does not work. This usually means you installed a wrong or broken busybox. V4A needs Stericson's busybox to work. If you are sure you installed busybox properly, then please confirm your device has been completely rooted". But it is rooted, I can access all types of root-only things like xposed and root booster. SELinuxModeChanger is set to permissive, I have tried with both V4A apps from the DXA thread and from the (not the FX one) one in Google Play, and I have already tried uninstalling and installing everything, and I have also tried reflashing my rooted_system.img countless times. So root is working, busybox is working, SELinuxModeChanger is properly set up, why isn't it working? Also I noticed something, when I reboot my phone, SELinuxModeChanger changes the SELinux mode back to enforcing, but if I turn on the option to show a notification after the mode changes, the notification IS showed, so it must mean it's working, right? I have tried before without poweramp and dolby atmos, but as of now I'm using both. I don't even know if V4A will work with Atmos and Poweramp (Atmos and Poweramp do work together, though), but I just need to try it, even if it means uninstalling atmos. So I'm completely out of options. The only thing that I can think of is if there's a way to manually install the drivers (latest updated/updatable super audio quality ones), but I don't know if that's possible. So anyway, can anyone help me with this?
You should flash a zip from this site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/themes-apps/viper4android-t2952137. I used this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3667403&d=1456929089, and it works. Of course, flashfire v0.24 is required.

I'm flashing the zip file viper|atmos 5.5 sony beats edition with flashfire 0.50, and nothing's happening. Again, SELinux mode is permissive and busybox is installed, but atmos app and viper app won't show up, and when installing the app from the playstore, it says the driver is not installed. Help, please?

1. First, install ViPER4Android apk from the official site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223. You can choose between the old (v2.3.4.0) and new (v2.4.0.1) version.
2. Then flash a zip from this site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/themes-apps/viper4android-t2952137. I used "ViPERAudio 5.4 Stock.zip" (compatible with V4A v2.4.0.1). You can also choose "ViPERAudio 4.7.1 Stock.zip", if you have V4A v2.3.4.0 installed. I didn't try other mods (such as "viper|atmos 5.5 sony beats edition"), so I don't know if they work.
3. For flashing, you have to use FlashFire v0.24, other versions don't work with the device. Link: http://flashfireapk.com/flashfire-0.24.apk.
* Also, you don't have to change SELinux.
Thanks

Thank you very much, friend, I'm gonna try your method right now. Just one question, why doesn't flashfire 0.50 work with the g flex 2? I flashed Xposed with it and it worked. Isn't 0.24 an older version?
How do you test the benefits?

Actually, I don't know. I've read somewhere that v0.24 is the only working version for our flex 2. I didn't want to brick my device, so I used v0.24. I've had no problems with it so far.

I've tried with version 0.24 and it didn't work either. I'm gonna test the g flex 2 flash mod (the one with g4 tweaks and etc) with flashfire 0.24, since it says to use that version and it didn't work flashing it with 0.50, and if it still doesn't work for me, I'll revert back to 0.50, since it worked flashing dolby atmos (seperate from viper4audio, but the viper4audio-only zip file didn't flash). I fixed my problem of drivers not installing, so I'll just install atmos again and install the v4a drivers through the app. But thank you all for your help, really . If I menage to get all the mods I have working, I'll make a thread so that H959 rooted 15e image users can enjoy the best experience in their G flex 2.
maybe you never get viper4 to work in GF2...i did it many times with diferent methods and never never get it to work...even use the flashfire 0.24 (the only working to install zips on GF2) you never get a driver to work!
i recomend to you install Dolby Atmos see Apps section in this forum of GF2...the Dolby Atmos works like a charm and do the good job as Viper4.
(i am not sure but because of architeture of the SD810 Viper4 the latest version never will work on our device!)
That's strange... I'm on H955 v15c, V4A 2.4.0.1 with "ViPERAudio 5.4 Stock.zip" installed using FlashFire v0.24.
Everything works.

Hello,
I successfully rooted my phone (Xperia Z1 Android 5.0.1) with KingRoot 5.0.6. Afterwards I tried to replace KingRoot with SuperSu (https://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/general/how-to-remove-replace-kingroot-kinguser-t3308989). When I ran the script, I got these errors: https://a.disquscdn.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/3096/6825/original.jpg
The script finished and KingRoot was removed but SuperSu wasn't installed. The manual installation of SuperSu (and its binaries) didn't work so I tried to reinstall KingRoot with the newest version. The problem is, that I can't open (nothing happens), uninstall (greyed out) or downgrade ("application was not installed") KingRoot.
Do you have any advice what I could try instead of flashing a new rom?
I have installed TWRP recovery

Maybe you need to open the TWRP and browse to the location where your phone stores the su binary file, which is most likely stored in the:
/system/xbin , or
/system/bin
Delete the existing binary if any alongwith the other su files like daemonsu, etc , and repeat your previous installation methods.

Try deleting the kingroot app manually. If its installed, it should be somewhere in data/app or system/app.
If that's successful, then reinstall Kingroot and try rooting again. Instead of running a script to replace Kingroot with SuperSu, try using "SuperSuMe" instead. Its available on the playstore.
Ya SuperSuMe is was worked for me a while back when I needed to do the same. I think it was 2$ bucks.
