[Q] Is there any way to boost touch sound ? - Samsung Galaxy S II Plus

Hello there,
I'm using Pac ROM and I love it.
I work as a Quality Assurance and I test android apps almost every day, so I noticed that the Nexus 5 has louder touch sound.
Is there any app or mod to control the volume of the touch sounds in Pac's or other custom ROMs?
Thanks in advance,
All the best! :good:

I think that volume is controlled with the "System" volume slider. Don't know if PAC rom has that one though.

I have only "Volume steps" options that incluce "System" but there is no effect.

[Q] Help - Terrible in-call volume

Folks,
On my HTC Sensation, the in-call volume is so low that I can hardly hear the caller. I always have to switch to the speaker.
My in-call volume is set to max.
I think this happened after htc-sync upgraded the OS version to 2.3.4. My wife has exactly the same model but she does not have this problem. Her phone has not yet been upgraded.
I called HTC. They tell me that it is a known issue and to check back with them periodically. A lame answer:-(.
I would appreciate it if anyone has any idea on how to get my in-call volume back.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Peter
i'm experiencing the same low in-call volume, so i rooted my device and installed the leaked HTC Sense 3.5 ROM and it's better, but not where i want it to be. i also flashed the TMOBUS (T Mobile US) rooted stock ROM and it has a HAC (Hearing Aid Compatible) feature that significantly boosts in-call volume, but you cannot adjust the volume. it's been my experience that volume boosts can be added to the kernel. i wish i knew how to do that... also, don't know if the source code has been released .... wish i could offer more help!

that's not going to work... you have to tweak the kernel (or some other object) to boost in-call volume. (i would love to be wrong, but i tried that app already)
+1 on vol plus you can also trie mikes revolution 4.1 which is the 3.5 sense leak. volume was a major improvement. developement has just started on this leak but i ran it with no major problems

The APP does not affect the earpiece or call volume. Its only for the speaker and music.
Volume + has boosted ALL volume settings on my phone including speaker. My experience has been
that the app needs to be manually activated as it seems to not start up at boot or run in background.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Root your phone and use volume + or dsp manager. Works like a charm. My volume is LOUD

i agree that the program works with in-call volume settings, or the same setting that you can adjust while on a call. the program does not amplify - or boost - the in-call volume like one can by manipulating the kernel (or other objects) so that it's louder. this type of manipulation is like adding an power-amplifier to a home-theater AV receiver. the net effect: on my Inc S with a stock kernel, my in-call volume setting would be level 4 (of 5). using a kernel with audio boost, my in-call volume setting is 2 and at most 3.

I bought the paid version of volume + over the weekend and actually got it to boost/amplify my call volume tremendously.
My only problem now is my new Anker battery is being drained at abnormal rates as a result from using this app. A 20 minute call costs 20=30% of battery life vs. before the app was installed.
Obviously the CPU is getting a work out just running the app. I would think the increased voltage to the speaker would constitute as some kind of amplification like a home theatre system.
Has anyone else experience abnormal battery life as a result from usning this app?

it works like a charm
i buy it now... i hated the problem that my gt p6200 didn't sound as an iPhone ( very lower than an iPhone ) and i can't use my monster beats BUT NOW with this app it works like a charm! very high volume, very crystalline... you're a genius but let me say... SAMSUNG can't let go out a product with this low level of output volume...
i only HOPE that with the new ICS coming out you will support this app for whose have purchased it and i hope that i can use it with the new ics...
can you say me something about this?
thank you

Great app
most devices you can adjust the volume levels from service menu, not this one, also galaxy note. The option is there number 5 AUDIO but does nothing when pressed.
Stupid issue guys, did someone try to use his Tab 7+ in AUX out mode since installed this app?! I did, I usually use my P6200 as an mp3 player in my car (with a simple jack male/male).
Once I just had to pitch with volume keys up/down to increase/decrease it without touching my stereo...Now playing with those keys it let you increase/decrease dBs, no more the whole volume audio (that I have to set with the stereo grrrrr)

annoying bug
hi everyone, i found a bug and i sent 2 mails to support but no replies... may you help me and say me how to solve this problem?
i'll report here the two mails:
mail#1: the app works like a charm but every time i touch the screen and the system gives me a sound the volume became 0.0 db...
for example, i'm listening music and i use your app to give me more 5db... when i push with my finger on the next track button the volume became 0.0 db ( default value ) and the songs change (it's ok, i say it with my finger ) .... also a Facebook notifications appears system plays the sound notification and the volume became 0.0db, EVERY TIME i have to push the external buttons of volume on my tablet to reactivate the activity of your app... ( only 2 push are needed - 1 for volume sound control appears on the screen and 1 more to move the value, as soon as the value is moved for example from 9db to 8.5 db the app return to do his job )
mail#2 (new details after more working days):I'm back to remind you that the application voodoo louder on GTab plus has a little but noisying bug.. I tried to solve it with this action: i unselect the sound of clicking buttons: selection tone... Now when I touch something on the screen the volume remains the same as setted in your app... But I can't remind myself every time I listen music to unselect it... And if a notification comes up in lose the higher volume of your app...
---------------------------------------------------------
say me how you solved this problem and if it's only mine...
thank you all Xda Users

Do you have "Smart Boost" selected? That's what I use and I have no such problems.

Are you sure that when you for example lock your tab with the external button the volume doesn't decrease? Try playing music with any player you want, increase volume with vodoo louder for example of + 5db and while you're listening your track hit the lockscreen button... Your volume will go to 0.0db, don't confuse yourself with the smart boost line at bottom... THE line will say + 5db but if you try to adjust volume you will understand that you are listening at 0.0db.. Try and say me something.

It keeps it's setting just fine. Smart boost simply extends the upper range, similar to how Voodoo sound behaved on my Galaxy S. I can post screens if you truly need proof.

[Q] Disable annoying sound when changing volume level & turning on

I have a stock ROM.
When changing volume level with the button on the right-side of the phone, it always makes a sound (probably to demonstrate a new volume level). Also, when I turn it on, the phone produces annoying sound as well.
Is there a way to turn both these sounds off?
Thanks in advance!
I was bored one day last week. And as a musician knowing the tones are do-ray-me.. if your fast enough could always do the song from Sound of Music and woo a fancy girl.
Just a thought.

Not sure about using Xposed on your custom ROM. For stock Android, GravityBox and Wanam Xposed allow you to turn the volume preview tones off.

[Q] Can we use flashable mods from...

This forum?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1566
They already have:
Brightness Mods
Video audio recording Mods
Skip tracks with volume buttons while screen is off (My most wanted mod)
and a ton more.
I know its for a different version of the SGS3 but I figure if it can be done for them then maybe we can change some stuff to make it work for us. Or could be completely wrong. TIA
I don't know the answer to your specific question, but I miss the volume button forward/back music feature tremendously.
One thing that helps is if you're using headphone/earbuds etc that have the controls inline in the cord, you can basically do the same thing as the volume mod by using the app "headset button" in the playstore.
That app allows you to go forward/back with a double or triple click on the inline button with ANY headphones with controls.. This works perfectly with my Bose QC15 & my Beats Studio cans. It also works fine with my Ultimate Ears buds that have a button in the cord.
