Xposed Module for customizing M8's stock navbar behavior and look? - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I would love to find an xposed module for reassigning the navbar soft keys...swapping the positions, modifying the quick and long-press of each button, etc.
Any recommendations for me? I'm running stock on the Verizon HTC ONE M8...rooted w/ s-off

Sense 6 toolbox might have what you're looking for. I'm not sure about swapping positions but you might be able to swap behavior and then use softkeyz (from the play store) to swap the images for each

Gravity box does all this, my back button is on the right, long press it to sleep.

Looking for a ROM with these features

I'd donate a few bucks to the first ROM I can find that have ALL of these features.
I'm stuck between one or antoher because one ROM will have some, and the other has the other few.
Kitkat 4.4.2
Clear all Recents button
- Option to select which side
Status bar that when can be pulled down, can be swipe from quick settings to notifications
Navbar Ring Shortcuts with working longpress
- Torch as one of the options
Option for volume buttons to control media instead of sound.
If anyone knows of a ROM that has all of these, please let me know.
Would greatly appreciate any developer who could include all of these options.
Thanks
Try the Xposed Framework w/ the GravityBox Module (for KK).
If you are rooted then you can install the xposed module and then Gravity box to enable all these features on stock
+agree, just go Gravity Box route. You won't be disappointed. .
I downloaded it but Gravity box doesn't have any feature for changing navigation bar ring shortcuts, the ability to swipe the status bar left or right to change it, or to use the volume keys to change media sound instead of ringer.
So, that didn't work out so well.
I'm gonna try gravity box

It doesn't do swipe notifications / quick tiles whichvis a shame. You could always request it in gravity box thread. I miss this feature. However, I am making do with quick pull down.

[Q] Possible Volume keys to move cursor?

So I totally know this is a new phone, and S-Off has only recently been achieved.
However does anybody know how to create this mod??
I really liked it on my previous phones.
Install Xposed framework and the Gravity Box [KK] module. Be sure to activate and reboot as needed. The setting is under Navigation Bar Tweaks of Gravity Box.
I had the Xposed Framework on my DNA, any issues with it on the M8?? I do know that some modules didn't play nicely together. It also seems that Gravity Box is for AOSP roms, Sense is not even close to AOSP.
Thank you
All I can tell you is that I have gravity box on my stock, rooted, S-off Verizon m8 and my volume keys control the cursor. I also use Gravity Box for a handful of other status bar and navigation bar tweaks without any problems. My attitude is to make a nandroid and then see what happens (so long as I'm not flashing things in recovery).
In that case i'll give it a try.

[Q] Is there a way to change/remove Sony's battery icon?

I'm trying to get the AOSP battery icon instead of the Sony one. I've tried GravityBox, which works to add the AOSP icon, but Sony's one is still there. I know I can disable it in settings but it still shows on the lock screen and when the notification pane is down. Is there any other way to change/remove Sony's battery icon?
Not Optimal... But it works!
So I am figuring you are trying to do this because you got gravity box and when you apply a battery icon it adds it alongside the stock one but doesn't replace it... So there three easy steps to get rid of it! First of all in the settings search for personalization, system icons and untick battery... this will get rid of the battery in the status bar when it is NOT pulled down; then go to the xposed app and download a module called clean lock screen, activate it and tick the option for the removal of the status bar icons... this will get rid of it in the lock screen BUT it will also remove the gravity box one and the WiFi and data signal icons... and lastly, download a module from the xposed installer called android N-ify, this will add some awesome features like the double-tap recents to go to last applications and yata yata but most important thing is that this will customize your notification and quick toggle panel and it by default hides battery... so reboot and your stock battery should be successfully hidden!! I know your question is kinda old by now but I just got back to stock marshmallow in my z3 and was struggling with this same exact problem and this was the best solution I was able to find for this!

How to make bottom navigation bar black?

Newb here, it's always white and ugly. How to do it no root?
You need to root then install Xposed then in Xposed search BlackNavigationBar

I strongly recommend removing the navigation bar all together and enable gestures, at least try it. I liked it so much I cant go back to nav bars again

Gestures are trash. Tried for a week
Meizu did it best years ago.
Navbar apps is CLOSE to working (not great) and I do NOT want to root. All that does is lead to problems. We need OP to add system level control over navbar color, that would be awesome (if possible)
I use navbar while trying also to get used to gestures.
It does not need root, BTW. And it has some nice customisations. But sometimes, it gets forgotten, and the customisations don't apply (Which often resolves after a few moments but it just means it's not perfect).
There is also a module that can detect when keyboard is open, so you can choose a keyboard appropriate colour, rather than in apps like Facebook having bright white navbar against my material dark themed keyboard.
Gestures could be quite nice, but I need more control of them. For example, I find the home gesture and back gestures get mixed up sometimes. I would rather have one side of the phone dedicated to home (right side, until about 25% from the edge) and the rest to act as back.
Also, I still have some apps that use menu button, which, with buttons, can be mapped to long press recent tasks, but has no equivalent gesture. It could have a similar gesture to how you get to recent apps, but from the back button side. It would keep the gesture logic and adds a function that works in certain contexts.
Until gestures have the controls I need, I will continue using navbar. Coming from an Honor phone, it's really great that it works, even if it sometimes forgets to activate. (Huawei's os has this magical way to overwrite any customisations that the user might like).

Also the hide the nav bar option gives you transparent nav bar.

correct. I don't understand why OnePlus didn't do it like that instead.
f you have Xposed Systemless and Magisk installed (requires root and an unlocked bootloader obviously, also assuming this is for the Oneplus 5, 5T, or 6) install the Xposed Module "BlackNavigation Bar for Oneplus 5T, Oneplus 6" by yuanwofei. Works great and makes it black instead.

customize navigation bar

has anyone figured out a way to swap back and recents on the navbar? i've tried adb and modules with no success.
got it with gravity box, along with everything else i needed fixed (clock location, custom keys...). i completely forgot about it since i haven't used it since the old sammy days.
