A buddy of mine who just got a VZW S3 and is not too technical when it comes to phones/gadgets has an issue with the Samsung Music Player starting via Bluetooth every time he gets in his car. I did some brief searching in the forums, but couldn't find anything specific to the S3. I apologize if I missed the solution in a previous thread. Here is his question that he sent me:
"I just recently bought a new car that has the bluetooth capability so I can play music from my S3 (verizon) without the need for an iPod. I use the Google Play Music app when I listen to music on my phone, but as you know, there is another Samsung proprietary music player on the phone called "Music Player."
Problem is, whenever my phone connects to my car via bluetooth, the car starts playing the music from the Samsung Music Player rather than Google Play Music even if I last used the Google Play Music to listen on my car. I know it's not an issue with my car because it happens in my brother's Ford truck, too. Does anyone know how to fix the player it uses by default?"
Thanks very much

Thanks again!
So I just installed CM10.1 RC1. My Spotify works fine, but Apollo will pay music out of only one side of my speakers. And Google Music can't even play my local music as it gives me an error.
Any suggestions for a fix?
I noticed the exact same thing only with the Now Playing app. But some songs played through both earphones and some played in stereo. I tried the youtube app while connected and it was in stereo as well. Hopefully it will be updated soon.
As the title states, I've been having BT issues since day one with this phone. I have the phone paired to my 2012 Toyota Camry, but the car interface simply shows 'STREAMING AUDIO' as soon as the phone is connected via BT. problem with that is that the interface only shows streaming audio when something is actually being played. That isn't the case with the 1+1. I am not playing any audio, or making any calls, yet the car interface will show 'STREAMING AUDIO', with no sound being output whatsoever.
Intermittently, however, the phone will start Google Play Music as soon as BT connectivity is established, and play an Unknown Track, even though I have no music or audio files on the phone. This doesn't happen all the time, however. I've tried closing all Google Play processes to see if that will help, but I've had no luck.
I am stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm guessing its an OS problem.
Bumping this thread. Still looking for a solution to this problem.
Bump, with an update.
I finally got around to purchasing some music thru Google Play, and it seems as if the Bluetooth will stream audio only played thru Google Play Music. YouTube et al still do not work, however.
The weird part here is that I've been using the app "YouListen", which allows me to play YouTube audio while in the background. I noticed that whenever I am playing simultaneously through YouListen and Google Play Music, I will get audio from both streams. Shutting off Google Play Music will shut all audio off.
I read around, and there seems to be an issue with specific models in which Google Play Music gets first dibs on streaming audio, and so there is an option in Google Play Music to shut this off in order to play audio through other apps. However, the 1+1 doesn't have such an option, so I'm not sure the problem lies there.
Again, any help would be appreciated.

Ive been having the same types of issues plus when im making a phone call through my car somtimes BT randomly disconnects!
I just got my OnePlus One and I love it so far....except for one thing.
I loaded up my songs on Google Play Music and stream it to my car via bluetooth. There is this annoying buzz getting broadcast with my song whenever there is powerful, low bass. This does not happen on my Verizon Samsung S4. The buzz is not present with headphones. I have to test this out on another bluetooth speaker. AudioFX is disabled for bluetooth.
I already tried: redownloading my songs on Google Play Music, rebooting my phone, and repairing my phone to my car.
I have a clip of the buzz http://youtu.be/KrmaiMO3TH8
When connected to my cars bluetooth and choosing bluetooth audio, the v10 always launches Huawei Music.
I've already set the default app for music to be Google Music within app preferences.
Is there anything else that needs configuring to start Google Music when streaming over bluetooth?
I use Blackplayer EX - it has an option to auto launch and start when Bluetooth speakers / earphones or headphone cable is plugged in.
Thanks for the reply @shaunydub but i'm stuck with Google Music as i have the subscription and all my playlists there.
oh sorry,
I had this option in a couple of music apps so I guess you need Google to add it as an option also.
Phone doesn't have an option at system level as far as I can tell - nor any other phone I used to be honest, I always did it via in app option.
Same problem with mine, it start with alarm music and huawei music after
