[WIP][ROM][4.4.4] SlimSaber Weekly Builds - Moto G Android Development

Hey guys! Since the official SlimKat is not being updated, I've decided to build my own updated versions of SlimKat with optimizations. The first build is just a Beta build without optimizations. Stay tuned.
SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
SlimKat is the project name for SlimRoms based on Android 4.4 and offers the following original features:
The Real Dark Slim
Full system-wide dark interfaces. - If you like it smooth and classy.
Custom Shortcuts. Everywhere.
Hardware keys, Navigation Ring, Navigation Bar, Lockscreen, Tiles, Notifications etc. - We've got you covered.
System-Wide Keyboard Controls
Rotation, cursor control, optional emoticions, etc. - You'll be tapping away to your heart's content.
SlimCenter
Downloads, contact information, system app removal. - More fun than you can shake a stick at.
Camera Features
Trueview, Smart Capture. - Capture life moments with ease.

I don't think Slim supports it natively... So, sorry. No luck.

I think I got the problem. It ended up syncing the old slim kernel tree with my new device tree.... I'll clone the new kernel and rebuild now.

You are the best! Good luck!

vinprivag,
What you did for the device was brave. I can't thank you enough for being willing to, as you say, bringing new ROMs to our HTC Desire S's. It is people like you who keep the ROM development progressing and improving.
Those who facing ringtone or sound problem flash sound fix.

Using ROM since yesterday
no fc encountered.
Sound works.
Many new features.
Just sometimes its lags.rest is awesome
thanks
Sent from my Desire S using xda premium
does the soundissue still exist? (i mean the issue with the volume-balance between left and right headphones)
I'm using this rom for two days, and everything's great.
Ringer sound works after flashing flinny's sound fix.
No freezes so far, which was my most annnoying problem in previous kitkat builds. Extra features like lock screen notifications and settings search are good.
Smooth and fast.
Battery life seems ok.
Thanks for the build. I hope this rom will be updated periodically and becomes a permanent alternative for saga users.
Sent from my Desire S
Everything is ok. Just some lags sometimes, and some artefacts with heavy apps. If I use many apps at time some freezes occour and it reboots itself.
Great rom indeed.
Some shortcuts on the home page are missing after reboot, it seem related to those moved to SD.
I'm using Google launcher.
Ciao

Holy ****, Mokee Marshmallow is finally here I used this ROM's Lollipop version for a long period of time due to its smoothness and stability and not to forget the impressive battery life. I was a bit worried as moto E 1st gen is pretty late to the party. Otus received the marshmallow version pretty earlier. Just when i saw the last lollipop build labelled as HISTORY and no new updates for weeks, I was sure Marshmallow version will come soon.
I will try it out soon and thanks to your OTA updates, updating through nighties will be a breeze
P.S. Fix the changelog link. It should be http://changelog.mokeedev.com/index.php?mk_version=MK60

Why do you need 5.1 ?Mokee 6.0.1 is very stable. Can't give feedback about battery just installed this ROM.
Please, somebody post screenshots of MM version, as I'm using LP history version and it is rock stable, bugless and no issues at all, battery backup is also remarkable.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days -- it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and gained contributors in the process. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew further with experience and learned a lot more along the way.
It has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning, striving to grow each day, and continuing to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We do not believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going comes out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All that we do ask is that you have patience, search for answers prior to posting, read, and try to enjoy the process with us!!

I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currently an issue that we are aware of and are addressing. For now, after you've changed the density -- reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this Android 6 (Marshmallow)?
A: Yes, this is Android 6.0.1
Q: What code is Oct-M based on?
A: Starting with Oct-L, we've rebased OctOs on the CyanogenMod 12 code. Oct-M is based on CyanogenMod 13.
Q: What happened to AOSP?
A: All Android code is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Under previous releases, we tried very hard to limit the number of "Not from Google directly" repositories that we used. Unfortunately, issues with devices, the need for Code Aurora Foundation (CAF) repositories for Qualcomm devices, and compatibility issues meant fighting code more often than not. We decided that since the code-base for many repositories were the same across most ROMs, picking a starting point to build the user experience on outweighed the desire to craft code from scratch, or fix broken code to make it work with other changes we already had.
Q: Why isn't there XYZ feature?
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But XYZ and all the others have..
A: ROM developers build something they want to use. The ROM developer that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't include (or don't want to include), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Oct-M.
Q: Superuser or SuperSU?
A: Team OctOs uses SuperSU and is installed automatically.
Bugs:
Bugs happen. Our testers are very good at breaking things, but no where near as good as the rest of the Android public. In order to investigate and fix issues, we need the help of the users who are going to report them. The Android OS has many nifty features to help us in this, but only if we can engage the user to assist us.
Logs, Logcat, and the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB)
Like any other OS, Android has multiple log files that are generated and record the goings-on of the system. As a user, you have two basic ways to view and pull these to send to us. Without the information in the logfiles, there simply is not a whole lot of information to go on.
Log file APKs
Team OctOs recommends SysLog from the Android Market. This application will allow you to selectively pick any (or all) of the system logs, compress them into a .ZIP file, and allow you to save, email, move to your Copy/DropBox/Cloud Storage account, etc.
ADB Logcat
The Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) is a powerful tool available from Google as part of the Android Software Development Kit (SDK). Used for many things, being able to selectively see, in real-time, what your device is doing cannot be downplayed. While there is more setup involved, if you are doing consistent ROM flashing, you really should invest the time to get setup properly to do it.
ADB Logcat tutorial here: How to create a logcat log
Basic Instructions:
Download ROM .zip file and MD5 file, and grab your favourite opegapps package http://opengapps.org
Reboot to Recovery (Note: Use Reboot to Recovery from Power Menu, Hardware-based boot to recovery, or adb reboot recovery - ROM Manager or similar software is NOT supported)
--- TWRP is the ONLY recovery Team OctOs uses---
Factory Reset from TWRP
Flash ROM and GApps .ZIP files
Reboot
Download LInk - Click HERE
Patch for Video Recording & Video calling
The Oct-M ROM installation script will automatically wipe /system, /cache, and /data/dalvik-cache. There is no need to do these before or after flashing the ROM unless you are instructed to by your GApps Provider
The foundation of the Android OS is the fact that is it open-source. We have all code we use internally in the creation of Oct-M available on our GitHub repositories.
Unless otherwise specified, all Oct-M builds use the device's stock CyanogenMod 13 kernel.

battery is superb
awesome smooth rom.. I've overclocked with kernel editor to max performance to provide further boost. ANTUTU 45K
Play store and google apps are smooth and snappy, unlike MIUI 8 which lags despite having a better hardware.
Changed this rom to primary and restored 200 apps from miui overnight.
