Hi
Just curious, if it is possible to control the gear 2 cam from the phone.
I know it's possible, to control the phones camera from the watch, but is it also possible the other way around, so that I can see my gears camera on my phone and then take pictures from my phone too?
Thanks in advance
Yes, it is possible and there is at least one app in the store that offers this functionality (gear2spy).

does anyone have the road SMS app thats suppose to be preloaded with galaxy s phones? is there anyway to rip it and put it on other android phones? looks very practical. Or does anyone know of another app that lays a keyboard over camera shot so u can type while seeing whats in front of you?
Thanks
Check the 'samsung apps' app it's on there for download. Not to sure how you'd move it though.

How do you get this application? I can't find it anywhere
It's already been posted click here.
It's an elusive topic, most phones out there cannot do this natively. The South Korean Galaxy S is known to have this feature BUILT-IN.
Wonder if Nexus S can do this?

Anybody...?
No

I'm interested in this too... My LG Scoop dumbphone (Ahhh, the Alltel days) could do this natively, but I never found an app for it when I got my Droid.

Think it can be hacked onto the Nexus S which uses basically the same design and components?

With Galxy S you just need to take the libaudiopolicy.so from the Korean Galaxy and it works.
of course I tried the libaudiopolicy.so with Nexus S but phone won't boot after this.

Just wanna buy Google Nexus S , but call recording is importing for me .
There is a restriction recording calls on Nexus S. Don't know why...
It would be cool if somebody find the solution...
IMO there is no way to enable call recording. Nexus S is 1 year old, and today it still don't have ability to record calls.

Coming from a Galaxy S3, the only thing I miss about my old phone compared to Nexus 5 is the camera app / functions.
One feature in particular is the ability to pause the video recording and resume recording the same file. On Nexus5 I have to record numerous short videos and then stitch them to a final video. I gave Camera Awesome a try and it looks great for taking photos, but it doesn't have the pause video recording functionality.
Anybody tried a decent camera app that has this specific function ?
Anybody ?
This cannot be a Samsung only feature, I'm sure I have seen it on other phones
Google is working on a fix for the camera, I would just wait for that. It should be soon.

So I'm looking into buying my first smartwatch and the Sony smartwatch 1 is only 90 bucks but I was wondering if you guys know it will work with this phone. Specifically android 4.4 if you have this accessory and can help me that'd be great. Thanks

Yeah but Sony smart watches suck. I got the sw2 for free (I review products) and I stopped using it after writing the review.
Primary reasons:
Poor screen res
Lack of useful apps
Doesn't always notify when getting a call/text/etc
Have to install Sony app that has hidden data collection defaulted to on
Have to install an app for everything (an app for text notifications, an app for phone notifications, etc)
No built in speaker/mic
No camera and camera control app isn't that useful
And finally
Periodically enters low power mode and stops updating the time. That's right. It doesn't even do that properly.
Also newegg often sells them for 69.99 so 90 seems high.
Edit : forgot that exchange notification app is only compatible with Sony phones

Hi! I would like to take a photo with Gear 2 and then send it to a friend, only using the watch (without using my connected Samsung S4 mini). Is this possible and how?
Nope, I haven't found a way. There are no apps that take advantage of the share feature
