i have xperia sp... and it is not upgradable... so i want to build kitkat upgrade... with all features of sony... Like Z2
is it possible... ?? i dnt know any thing much... but im ready take risk... Just explain me.. with screen shots. how can i do.... can i take kitkat from cyangenmod XperiaSP and add in to a stock ftf file...?? what will be the problems... if i do... ?? can i take ZR kitkat ftf file...and edit it wherever it needs changement.....kernel and build ftf file... please response me quickly......

I using Xperia sp n installed xperianZe rom v2 currently..... since m a newbie to these rooting stuffs i hardly managed to root my device n installed a custom rom in it..... BT m getting a serious problem with it.... my wifi z olways saying Turing on but never gets turn on.....it's a serious issue since m having a lot of wifi based works.... Olso do charging tym z increased... please get a solution for dis....I want to use this rom as a daily driver.... my on unlocked bootloader....

You need a post count of 10 on XDA to post in development threads....so I suggest you browse around your device section and contribute some "useful" and meaningful posts to get your count to 10. Check out the General, Questions and Answers, Themes and Apps and Accessories sections and find things that interest you and join the discussions.
When you have 10 posts, you can ask questions in the ROM thread.

Oh, if you are using a translator, it is not working too well. May want to look at its settings, or train it better, or find a better one.......your post was very difficult to understand.
I am using Xperia ION LT28h. I am willing to download the latest release CM-11 custom rom but the links (all 9 releases) do not contain the roms. I am providing the main thread from where I am suppose to be downloading right now. Its been real hard using Xperia ION since no official releases from Sony so I would really be grateful if you guys fix the links or provide me with an alternative link to the 9th release of the custom rom. Thank you.

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, also not sure if I may sound logical or not!
The phone is released with KITKAT on it and the manufacturer is not going to update the firmware on it. I want to upgrade to Lolipop/Marshmallow, which ever is possible.
1. Is there any ROM available for Infocus M530 ?
2. Can I use ROMs for other phones on this?
3. If nothing works, can I modify any ROM to suit this phone?

Hi, is there anybody interested in porting android 5.0 or 6.0 to Sony Xperia e4 (single sim), I will help as much as I can, there is source of stock rom for this phone on Sony developers site if that will help.
I have little experience with installing custom roms on Android phones, but never doing porting, also I'm familiar with Linux based OS-s, currently using debian.
If somebody want to help me to learn how to port rom,contact me, or leave your contact so I will contact you.
Also I am new on this forum, and English is not my native language if you find any mistakes.

Most of the users on xda are really friendly and helpful so do not be frightened of asking any questions in the the threads and the experts will help you (if they don't just threaten them with me haha). the link of ME points to Alpha6 yours leads me to Alpha 7: this one is said to have missing functions... and a bit deeper it says...for lollipop, .... but NOT for jelly beans.

I can not find alpha 6 but alpha 7 is nougat the other 2 night owl threads are mm and kk which I can link. Please note though it is only the operating system you are changing so your hardware will be the same but will have new feature
As long as you have installed the correct recovery you can back up your current rom and then try any of the 3 and return to your current rom safely. If you ask in this thread here
