Hey guys
I was just thinking, it would be awesome if A_C Could include a slide to alarm program with s2u2. A_C, if you see this I know your always completely immersed in projects, but I think this would be pretty cool/convenient.
It could work like the regular s2u2 screen, but play any mp3 etc, and have a slider that looks like this:
DISMISS ==========<>=========== SNOOZE
What do you guys think?
there are other alarm tools out there that do the job, but i would definitely use the one integrated with s2u2 if it is ever made.
nice idea. i hope it will be done
the idea with sliding is to make sure that non-human forces cannot unlock your device. A better solution would be buttons that are integrated into S2U

Wait what? How is my slider different from the normal one that it can be slid by accident?
I like it. There have been a number of times where I've accidentally dismissed an alarm by hitting the dismiss button while flailing in my half-sleep... It's easier to dismiss an alarm than to postpone it which is a major fail in my book. The least detrimental option should always be the easiest to implement. Something requiring a more cognizant response would be quite welcome by me.
Personally, I think that to dismiss it should require something a bit more involved... perhaps a double slide or slide one direction then the opposite.
The only question I would have would be how to handle the duration? Just a a length preset in the settings?
While we're at it how about an alarm with the option to slowly increase the volume? Yes, I know a couple other apps have it... I don't really like them.
interesting idea...

It would be nice to have this for alarms and event reminders. I've always wanted a few more options on snoozing reminders! Right now there is a huge gap between 1 hour and 1 day. I wish there were options for 2 hours, 3, and 6 hours. (or whatever..)
My idea is once you hit snooze it will pop up a full screen of options for how long you would like to snooze. If you are too tired to answer it or just don't answer it, it should have a default after x seconds with no answer.
What do you guys think?
I'm not fond of the multiple interaction concept with regard to snoozing... Perhaps for appointment reminders, but not for alarms.
I'm for that. A very nice idea!

Non-Human?
Anyways...the actual iPhone S2U has a keypad lock on it also. You slide it, then the keypad fades in and requires you to put in the passcode
Would be nice if a Alarm cannot be "dismissed" by just one single click.
I have the incredible ability to snooze my alarm without remembering later... got me already into a lot of trouble

Good ideas. As for the increasing alarm can't you just edit a .wav to do that?

What I had intended by that is a system where you could specify that the first time it goes off it plays the sound at a certain level, let's say half volume. Then each time it goes off after a snooze the volume increases 10%.
Good idea i must partly agree.
Maybe you guys can even pull it off using the XDA resources to make this yourself.
Sorry about post number 13#, i like to call it evidence.

Alright, you know, I'm not even sure what was meant by that statement, however you need to settle down and relax. It's a bit late to go back over the thread, but you need to realize that not one of the persons responsible for dragging this thread through the mud was anything better than regular old fashioned users. No mods or admins contributed.
In all honesty, Noonski, did us a big favor. This thread was heading for the trash, he stepped in, moved it somewhere neutral and cleaned it up. He didn't have to, he didn't have to take the time to salvage it.
Attempting to place blame on the administration and foster anti-establishment sentiment is only going to prove an even greater disservice to the rest of us.
Be civil, accept that the moderators and administration do indeed have the final say in this PRIVATE venue and I'm sure you'll be treated fairly. Hell, be nice and polite and perhaps we may just get a venue for the type of discussion we would like to see...
Ok?
Ciao,
I would like to know if there is some possibility to change the time interval when the status of the sms is changed to the read. I mean when I'm reading it directly in the TF3D. I don't want to wait so long on one sms before a can switch to another one.
Thanks for help

This is a good question I would like to know too
Great request. Me too!
Hi folks,
For a while now, I've been tired of the slow speed that it takes to long-press the letters to get a number. I remembered having a rom long ago that allowed to customize the long-press speed. I'm really happy with the new up to date 4.1.1/4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) roms, but they don't contain that feature .
Now the question is, is there anyway to reduce the Long-press time on current roms that do not contain that feature?
Thanks, I appreciate any help.

Thanks for the reply , but i'm really not at all knowledgeable on modifying APK's .
Also, If there is a keyboard app that has that feature, i'll take it as well.

I'm from Vietnam, and I'm using Go Tieng Viet 3 app. It contains Vietnamese and many other languages, but you can delete vietnamese and use english only. Play store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kynam.ime.gotiengviet
Of course it has changing long-press timeout feature, from 0 to 1000ms, but with 80% vietnamese setting interface, maybe hard for you to customize. If you still want to use it, pm me and I'll take some screenshots for easy setting
My english is bad and I shoud feel bad - sent from my crespo.
Thank you for the information, i will give that App a try.
Swift Key
I'm using Swift key. They have a setting for this but dos an body know how to do this Wirth a standard keyboard?
bump?
Can you guys please add options to hide the video zoom icon, most people don't ever mess with it on the TV since you should watch it in original output.
Also can you give an option to hide the HW+/HW/SW toggle, I never change it and it makes it better so old people won't accidently switch it.
Can you give an option to disable changing the volume all together from doing up or down on remote as sometime we accidently press it.
I've asked for these things months ago and no one has cared to add them even though theyed probably be very easy to impliment and would let the user customize the interface to be how they want it.
Why not use the block option to lock the screen and avoid accidental presses? The option is there.. NO need to add pointless options and clutter the player

Lol? Clutter the player? This is doing the exact opposite.
There also is no way to lock the screen on Android TV version.

We apologize for the delay in our response and appreciate your feedback and patience.
Unfortunately, it's not feasible to make the playback screen icons optional as they are frequently used by a large of users. However, we will share your request to our product team for further review and will work on it if it found to be useful for more users.
Thank You!

How is it not feasible when you guys give us the option to disable fast forward/rewind and next/previous buttons? You can't give us an option to disable zoom?
Hi all,
first of all thanks you if you read my post entirely .
I was happy to see the AOD added to the OnePlus family but I was wandering if it was possible to develop a mod for it.
I was looking for someone that could either guide me to do the following or could do it him/herself.
here's what I'm looking for I want to be able to display my calendar on the always on display not only the next event
but at least everything in my day and if possible the next one if nothing is remaining on that day itself
What I was thinking is either a modded selection of the AOD or a widget loader that could display any widget on the lock screen ( like the old kitkat, I really miss that feature )
I would not want a custom app that will keep the screen awake and do a fake AOD over the real one (like arc lighting) but a modded version of the OnePlus.
P.S. I don't normaly post here if you want me to change anything in this message feel free to tell me what I did wrong
I created that IDEA on the official community site
https://www.oneplus.com/ca_en/communityideas#/detail?threadId=2870
If anyone is interested, please feel free to like it
Also go around and look at the other suggestion.
Thanks!
