[Completed] Help!! Galaxy J100H not registered on network.

Greetings, sharing here my particular problem from top to bottom just to take advice in general.
First of all, I live in Cuba, so my one and only network is Cubacel which runs GSM 900 mhz, so far so good with most phones.
I am between phones so I boorrowed this used J100h from a friend, which received it as a gift and has never been used. I performed a hard reset to wipe password, data, etc. Phone boots ok but no calls with cuban SIM.
The curious thing is that it does recognizes Cubacel network, it evens shows the changes on signal intensity. Bu when I try to manually add it, it finds and displays the network by its name, but reports an error when trying to register.
After 3 days of internet search I´ve narrowed to the following: I suspect the phone was unlocked or flashed previously, there is no network promo when turning on the phone but there is chinese rooting software installed and the cell is, or seems via root checker, rooted. Thought an extra /01 after the IMEI was a sign of corruption until I leraned about IMEI SV. Anyway, following this thought installed busybox and root explorer, checked efs folder, finding subfolders such as imei, factory app, etc, BUT NO .NV file. inside imei folder ther is a imeino1 file with the correct imei, but no .nv file outside. Is this fixable?? GSII repair doesnt work because seems theres is an error with the busy box install, what gives me doubts if the phone is really rooted, and if i need to be online to install busybox properly.
So, If I decide to try and flash stock rom and see if this fixes the problem here is my main doubt, which may seem obvious for some but i simply can figure out. Which stock rom version do I choose? the product code of the cell is ITV, and the bootloader also points to the italian version but the currently installed rom ends in AOG2, seemingly a greek version. I live in Cuba and everywhere I look people say that since the telephone is sim free you can install any rom, but the is no "any" or standard rom either in samsung firware o sammobile. Do I flash the same rom? do I flash the one matching the bootloader? Which stock rom version should I choose?
Very much appreciated if you have gone so far in this reading and have some piece of advice. Also excuse terrible English.
Hi !
I see plenty of firmwares on samsung website so pick one and see how it works , it doesn`t matter the region , you won`t damage anything , maybe the modifications that has been made on the device borked the network , clean stock firmware flash may resurrect it and try the one which matches the bootloader
You may have a look here as well https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-gennxt-prerooted-stock-t3126368
Good luck !

[Q] How do I fix my Samsung Galaxy S3 SIM problem

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong category , Im new to the XDA forums
So a few weeks ago , I decided to upgrade my S3 Gt-i9300 to android 4.3 from 4.1.2. I thought it was pretty easy , download the rom and then use Odin. Well I screwed up. I used this app called Updato , from which I downloaded the firmware. I didn't realize that I actually download the Poland version and there was something called Orange(pretty sure it was the SIM carrier ) and I ACCIDENTALLY installed it. Well it ended up with my SIM not being detected by my phone. Im pretty sure my SIM is fine its something wrong with the phone. Previously my region rom was Kenya ( although I don't live there) so then , I tried a bunch of stuff , like getting a rom of my own country , which didn't work... Tried to do a bunch of tricks with the battery and SIM . I think that my SIM might have been locked or something... but not quite sure. It was perfectly working before the update. So can anybody link me a rom or atleast help me? When ever I try to connect to a carrier through the settings , I get a small message at the bottom "Network registered" but then in notifications I get the message" No service: Selected service provider not available"
And if you link me a Rom please be 4.1.2 because my phone now lags and hangs a lot. Thank-you.
PS: Need help fast though.

Trying to install TWRP on SM-955F Custom binary(RECOVERY) blocked due to remaining...

Hello.
(backstory, boring) I have an SM-955F from Claro that I've been trying to unlock completely from the carrier. I've had lots of trouble with them and am pending a case with FCC to get out of their claws. In the meantime, I've been trying (without success, hence my posts) to get it working 100% with T-Mobile. I've had T-Mobile for years under a friend's name and couldn't get a device -so I took one from Claro when Puerto Rico was hit with the Hurricane (T-Mobile had no signal for months).
(Little-lot- of info) So, I had the phone updated to Sammobile's PCT 8.0 firmware -G955FXXU1CRC7_G955FOWA1CRC2_PCT-. But it didn't have the OEM unlock. At one point I remember installing TWRP but something happened to the phone and it wouldn't boot up. So, my act of magic (*coughs*, XDA) I found a way to get it back to official firmware (I think at first it was a Germany's 8.0 firmware*can't find the file name*). Anyways, I want to get the phone to have Wi-Fi calling, VoLTE, etc from T-Mobile and, for what I've interpreted, that comes from the CSC files.
Now, I found a thread that uses TWRP+AROMA to get a list of CSC files on the phone and I can just install the one I want. (I don't know if there's an easier way directly from ODIN but I've not found that compatible TMB CSC file for my phone to get the features working, if any).
In any case I still want my phone rooted (I think I triggered Knox, but the phone updated through the Samsung Updater just fine after installing a PCT 7.0 firmware -G955FXXU1AQCC_G955FOWA1AQCC_PCT-. Clearly I'm out of my depth)
(to the point) The phone doesn't want to install my TWRP file. Says "custom binary(RECOVERY) blocked due to remaining installment balance". Obviously it's Claro's side blocking it, I think?. But I can't get them to unlock it (since it's still "theirs", until I get my case resolved or pay their stupid balance. Long story short, Claro's service is **** and I regret not waiting to get my credit approved my T-Mobile)
So, how do I go about it? I read that its RMM blocked. But my state says normal. The OEM unlock only appears on the 7.0 -G955FXXU1AQCC_G955FOWA1AQCC_PCT- firmware (even then it won't let me install TWRP through ODIN). I honestly don't know. I'll appreciate all the help I can get to reach my goal of getting 100% on T-Mobile's features (mainly VoLTE, if possible-the feature is greyed out so I assume it can be activated). Can't even change the radio band on the thing. I read something about using Nova Launcher and having the widgets activate it through "Enhanced LTE" (I think) but that option doesn't appear on the list. I'd also like to delete all remnants from Claro on the phone, bloatware, booting logo and such. Since it's a 955F, I assume one can make it as if international?
Also, please check my previous post, I just realized I forgot to detail something. I did hit that "your phone has been modified, restart to undo process" and I forgot. Maybe that's the root of it all?
Any questions, please do ask. I'd like to get this moving. For now I'll use my Nexus 6 (God I love that phone a lot)
Maybe there's some compensation on this, maybe, if I get it done.
I've included the picture of the error and the info on Download mode, links for files I refer to also at the bottom.

Bump.
I have the same problem "custom binary (RECOVERY) blocked due to remaining installment balance", when trying to install TWRP, in my case I want to install Custom Rom and I could not, I have not found any solution to this problem, I do not have OEM on 8.0, and the RMM status is normal, I could unlock unlock SIM thanks to a friend with Z3X tool, do not charge for it but thankfully I made a donation for the hard work and also that the Z3X is not cheap at all, if you need to talk to him, you inform me to give you his contact.

I bumped into a locked firmware and I don't know what to do

Hi guys. This is my very first post here. I searched all over the internet for my problem but nothing. But it seemed that similar questions redirected me to this forum and that's why I decided to join.
So, all started this morning, when the colors of my Galaxy S7 Edge became faded, it was more noticeable on the black color. I tried to find a solution online and they suggested doing something under Developer Tools. The next problem and my big big mistake, was that I unchecked and rechecked something, that after restarting my phone, wouldn't let me enter, showing a text "Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock". I searched for a solution and I saw that the only way was to install a new firmware.
I always thought my phone was SM-G935FD, because that is what it read on the "About device", but at the download screen it showed SM-G935W8. So I downloaded a firmware for the SM-G935W8. This is what it says also on the back of my phone, i noticed it just some minutes ago. So I went and I searched for W8 firmwares. I got the 6.0.1 from Canada and Bell carrier if I am not mistaken. I did the instalĺ. It started well, but after some updates it went from 6, to android 7 and it blocked my actual carrier. I can't make any phone calls.
Now I don't know what to do. I live in Albania and I purchased the phone here, it was a used one. I think at some point the phone was rooted because I had some very strange apps that has to do with rooting apparently (I never rooted a phone and I don't know much).
I want to know if there is a way to have an unlocked firmware. I don't even know what carrier was the phone on the first place.

Try flashing the SM G935FD, it probably had the G935FD firmware flashed on it so that it would work in your region, flashing G935FD again might make it work again.

Okay but, which version of FD? Because I search it and I see versions for countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Nigeria etc etc, and I am not sure if it will be a locked version again.

If it was rooted before, it was probably rooted so that some things could be modified to make it work in your country.
You said you flashed an android 6 firmware then you did an OTA update to android 7. That might be a problem because it might not be able to root again in order to make the modifications that were originally done to make it work in your country.
Here is a link to all the Russian firmware for SM G935FD, try the 6.0 firmware, try the various 6.0 firmwares and see if any of them work. After flashing the 6.0 firmware, if you get a notification saying there is an update available, DO NOT ACCEPT IT, keep the 6.0 android version. You will probably still be blocked by FRP, according to XDA rules, we can't help you bypass FRP, you'll have to figure that out yourself.

Once you get FRP straightened out, do some searches for:
"How to root SM G935FD"
Then you can work on getting it configured to work in your region on your carrier. Sometimes this involves flashing a separate modem(radio) file that has been extracted from a different firmware in order to make your radio work with your specific carrier. You might be in for more than you bargained for. I don't know which specific modifications you'll need or what files you'll need to make it work in your region, im just trying to give you an idea of what you need to look into.
You can try some of the Russian android forums, someone there might know how to make the device work in Albania. You might want to ask around in those forums first before you try anything, that way you won't waste time trying things that might not work. It will save you time if they know where you need to start and what you need.

No eSim support in my SM-N986B/DS after flashing stock rom

Hi,
I have SM-N986B/DS, untouched KNOX, no root, bootloader locked, OTA updates were installing automatically. CSC version was "COS" (Greece/Cosmote). I had an eSim support and it was working fine, as I was using it without any trouble simultaneously with other physical different sim cards. Suddenly I realized that I can't add credit card to Google Wallet and use it with NFC - message from Google Wallet keeps telling me that I can't add a card because my device doesn't meet the security requirements. I'm located in Poland, so I thought it can be related somehow to CSC. I decided to flash "XEO" stock ROM (Poland/not branded), I downloded it from samfw.com/firmware/SM-N986B/XEO (version N986BXXS5GWA7). I thought it wouldn't harm, as I mention, I was receiving OTA updates. After successfuly flashing rom through Odin v3.14.4, phone info shows CSC: "EUX/EUX,EUX/EUX/COS", I was able to use Google Wallet with my credit card. Next, when I was configuring my phone as usual, I realized that I can't add eSim anymore. Nor through my service provider app (Orange), nor through scanning QR code. Each time it was giving me the error message that eSim feature is not supported on this device. I went to Android Settings > Network & Internet, but I couldn't find eSim settings where they were before flashing! Settings dissapeared from my phone. Next I spent whole bunch of hours trying to figure out what kind of crap is this. I flashed COS rom succesfuly, because I was trying to revert to previous installation. Still no eSim settings. I tried all other Poland located stock roms (branded), but eSim settings still not showing. I tried UK unbranded stock rom, but still no go. Then I tried to flash stock rom from different group of roms (Brasil/ZTO) as I read somwhere that all stock roms I was trying were EU located, so the CSC may not be updating as expected. After flashing "ZTO" finally eSim settings were accessible in my phone settings and I could add an eSim and it was working, however again I can't add my credit card to Google Wallet, as it keeps saying that my phone doesn't meet the security requirements. I flashed again XEO, because if I must choose, I want to use NFC with my credit card and eSim feauture isn't that much importat for me, because phone has two nano sim slots I can use. I can tell for 100% that my phone still has untoched KNOX, no root and locked bootloader and while in download mode it shows "0" at warranty line, so as I understand, the warranty is still fine.
The questions are:
1) Can any one explain me what happened? Why there's no support for eSim in all EU located stock roms for my phone, even in the COS one?! What I did wrong?
2) Is there any chance to flash some subpackage or is there any other method that will allow me to use eSim feauture with XEO stock rom?
I can't stand how it pisses me off. Thank you in advance for any help.
Kind regards
