Just woke up to find my OPO turned off it was on charge throughout the night. Is there some type of log I can take to try find out? Thanks

So I plugged my GN in last night and stayed up late enough to see it reach 100%, but I left it charging all night. When I woke up this morning, the lock screen said Charged but my battery widget said 97%. This has happened a few times and every time I can fix it by just unplugging it and plugging it back in. Anyone know why it does this? Could it be because I get lots of emails at night and the LED running all night decreases the battery a little? Thanks!
I think it stops charging when it reaches 100%, therefore the 3% may be lost during that time. This is a good thing, because a laptop, or anything else, eventually the battery will go bad. When you unplug it, then plug it back in, it can cause that battery to go bad faster. Again, I think this is it. My phone seems to do that. I would not worry about it though.
Hi all,
I am new to the forum, a week ago I get the htc Hong Kong, I did this via ebay, everything was perfect, until last night what you charge a motorola charger (I had used it before and had loaded perfect ) question this morning when I get up, I see that the phone is off, and every time I try to turn it restarts, sometimes reaching start, and appears the battery to 0%, after an hour, shows 1% , leave it a long time, type 2 hours, I left and when I was at 99%, I was under buenisimo!, but the fact that it reboots, to put my SIM and again, restarted, battery 0%, the no longer true that you do! probe and things like, tick the Quick Launch, and other things that I can not remember .. hope someone knows tell me! thank you very much!
Anybody else notice the dose feature only seems to work after a reboot. I had my Nexus 5 on all night on my night side , woke up and checked morning and dose hadn't kicked in all night while I was a sleep. I did a reboot and put it back on my shelf went downstairs had my breakfast and got Sorted took about an hour came back to my phone and checked my battery stats and dose had kicked in. Does anyone else think dose should kick in as soon as you turn your phone of. It seems pointless to me how it works. It's hit or miss on my phone.
It works perfectly fine for me even without reboot.
How did you know it didn't worked at the first place?
You can see in your battery stats in the settings. There is gaps on the battery chart, that's dose when you see the gaps.
Here's mine after a reboot last night.
I'm going to fully charge my phone now and take it off my charger and I'll lay it down on my bed side and I bet you dose won't kick in when it's been sat there. Last night dose kicked in straight away about 20 minutes after I took it off charge after I rebooted my device.
Here's with no reboot and of charger fully charged and Dose doesn't even kick in once.

That's not accurate. I'm not sure what the gaps are, but Doze isn't it. For example, in that gap in your picture the battery still dropped by a decent amount.
A better way to see if it works is to tap on the graph to see when the phone is awake, etc. If you see large gaps without being awake, that's Doze in action.
Doze needs time to set in. You can't expect Doze to kick in if you're using the phone a lot during the day. Your second graph was during the day and it looks like you use it a lot throughout the day. You can't expect much there.
OTOH, if you're seeing a drop in battery while the phone sits for hours at night, then you've likely got a wake lock preventing Doze from working.
I notice my phone Dozing when I push the power button and it takes a second to turn on. When it's not Dozing, it turns on immediately.
Ok so i noticed this the other night...
If I just leave my phone unplugged and go to bed, i can get up to 8% battery drop overnight.
The other night, i put my phone on charge before bed and went to sleep. I woke up in the night, while awake i noticed the green light that my phone is charged. So I unplugged it (didn't touch anything else)
When I then woke up like 6 hours later, my phone had only dropped 1%
So why does it drain soo much more if not on charge first? And does anyone else have the same thing?
Do you have Stamina mode enabled? If you have it enabled it will freeze and terminate internet connections for non white listed apps. When charging, Stamina mode is disabled. It might be some app is not playing well with Stamina mode if it is enabled. Check it.

I did leave my phone unplugged overnight with few than 3% drop
I never have stamina mode on.
But i actually did the same last night as my little one woke up with a nose bleed in the middle of the night, and now 8 hours on it'd only dropped 1%. Tonight I'm gonna not charge it and just leave it and see what drop it gets.

I get something similar but much more drain, about 20% cell standby was the culprit, I am guessing the mobile signal strength not being the best is causing the phone to hunt for signal. When out and about drain nowhere near as bad.
Hello Everyone,
I have been using the Samsung Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955U1) for the last six months.
Sometime early this week the phone battery started draining and i kept the phone to charge every time it drained the battery.
One night the battery was about 55% and when i woke up it was totally drained out and post that the phone wont charge again.
Now when am putting the phone to charge it shows the charging sign with the circle, but the phone wont charge or turn on.
I tried doing soft reset a couple of times, the phone would start upto the Samsung Logo and would go back to charging sign again.
Would like to know if anyone has a similar problem and if there's any solution to this problem?
Thanks!
