Thl w3 opinions

Hi guys,
this is new thl smartphone, with 4.5 inch screen:

Do you know it? Have you seen some reviews?

I think it is not yet available in the market.
I am using THL V9 (MT6575 phone) now. Basically its performance is much better than previous MT6573 phone with similar prices.
The most special feature of W3 is 1280X720 pixel of screen. According to the information gathered from internet, MT6575 supported maximum solution is QHD. I don't know why this phone comes with 720p.
As it is not yet available, no review so far is found.

I think ThL W3 has great specs. It has 1GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, and most of all, a 4.5-inch screen with HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). The only drawback I see is the Android 2.3 OS. It should have been released with Android 4.0 ICS already.
1280 x 720 pixels is fine for the MT6575 chip. I have read comments about users of another HD phone running on the MT6575 chip (ZOPO ZP300 Field) and they said the navigation is smooth. They actually loved the phone. But ZOPO ZP300 is already running on ICS while ThL W3 is on Gingerbread.

THL W3 uses the MT6577 dual core chip not the MT6575

ThL W3 still uses the MT6575 chip. Maybe you are referring to Jiayu G3. It runs on the dual core MT6577 CPU.

I am using THL w3+ (6577 version) , very regretted to bought this phone, 2 major problems:
1. It got very hot(not warm!) from the bottom of the phone after few mins of use, especially browsing desktop version of websites.
2. The dualcore cpu and gpu doesn't take up well with a 1280x720 display resolution, most of the time it appears LAG if compare with a 6575 [email protected] using the same app/game.
Very disappointed and I really would prefer to go back to my earlier 6575 + 800x480 device.

I'm using this phone, and like it very much! The only problem, I cannot root it. Could anybody help me, how to do this? Tried Odin, UnlockRoot and some others, bot they didn't work...

You really just need to adb remount and adb push su to the phone. Full procedure to be found on randomness0110 blog.

Hi all,
With the help of member Bin4ry I'd like to confirm the the thl W5 has been rooted sucessfully with Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18. I found very little information about this device on the forum so i took a punt and it worked for me with fingers crossed.

I found this tool that root W5 with one click.
search for "unlockroot.exe v2.3"
Work's fine without any problem.
Another issue: After everything running good, when i tryed to flash my phone with the newest oficial ROM from THL's website, i put on my W5 the chinese / English with BAIDU.
Can anyone upload the ROM version that comes with Brazilian portuguese?

To correct the problems i decided to flash the phone with the latest update from the THL website.
For my surprise the oficial ROM from the THL do not support the Brazilian Portuguese, only english and chinese.
Could you backup and upload the international ROM that comes with my language?

Yes i can make backup. But tell me if that new rom was resolved white pixel? my phone have one or two "dead" pixels but only can see that in certain colors. No fully dead and maybe rom defect but i think not. You was try this firmware??

And what about w3 vs w5? Is the gps ok on both phones?
Seem zp300+ have some gps issues and also some red led bug (that prevent phone from deep sleeping , thus draining the battery). Do thl w3/w5 have the same issues?

I new from here, and I'm from Portugal, and I think this is the right place to look a solution for my problem..
I bought THL W3 Dual Core. What happened is the site I decided to re-install the firmware that THL has for download for this model (W3 Dual core). What happens is that the firmware (THL.W3.121008.6577.COM.EN) only has Chinese and English language.I checked the time when I got the mobile, the version of the firmware that was Thl.w3.12.1113.6577.COM.EN. There is no way someone get this firmware version of multi language and the playStore applications and installed google??

Multi language i don't know, but Google play it's possible but you need root your firmware and after install CWM and Flash Gapps. u want make that??

(private and company SIM). it has 2 Batteries included (2k mA and 4k mA + 2 covers).. now I'm waiting for update, as i got issues with BT in my car and also there is no option to install apps to you external SD card (update should fix it)

Hi ! Yes I know I’m Pole and I have this phone. Update is available now on goclever site (unfortunately I can`t pestle link to file ) but if you will update device you will lose possibility to root it later. On old system you can root device (Framaroot min. 1.6) changes two strings in vold.fstab file and install all apk on sd card .
If you are interested how root and what should be changed in vold.fstab file i try to write some guide. I also can help with other goclever phones, on polish sites is more information about them products.

thx. now I got 1 more issue.. when i connect my phone via bluetooth to car radio, Im not able to call, when i try to call i lose Network and need to re-enter PIN code on both Sim cards... it's really annoying...

Lenovo S 860 is the latest offering from Lenovo and released recently in India. It has a massive battery of 4000 mah and is the best phone for people who want something which has a lot of stamina and this phone certainly lives up to the expectations.
SInce I was unable to find a specific forum for this phone I am posting it in the general section.
This is specifically for people who want more out of their Android phones.
So here you go, to root this phone, it is very simple, use VROOT. It is a one click process and works perfectly, but the super user installed will be in Chinese.

Yeah...have been using the phone for the last 3 weeks. Performance is very good for day to day taks - calls/browsing/streaming etc . The best part I like about this phone is the mammoth battery and Lenovo still managed this in a rather slim body. It is also lighter than note 2.
Recieved kitkat update yesterday. A few changes to the UI - now it is lag free.

Can anybody post the link or how to upgrade Lenovo S860 to Kitkat. Lenovo released the update but since it around 1 GB unable to do so through phone. It gets interrupted due to unstable net connection and sloe speed. Is there anyway I can do this through PC.

VRoot did not work for me after upgrading phone to 4.4.2. It rebooted the phone constantly, asked for permission to restore data from PC to phone, but the root process kept failing. Anyone else face the same issue?

I have used S860 for a month now. Android 4.2.2 works good except for some lag. I would like to upgrade to 4.4 but don't want to loose google play. Any suggestions? Can I install the Lenovo update of 4.4 and then reinstall google play?

This will only work for the Chinese 1 GB model of Lenovo S860 - not the 2 GB ROW (Rest of the World) Model.
From whatever little is available online for this phone I'm guessing it's hard to root if the phone's running kitkat - and it doesn't look like any developer will come up with Root for it. It's just too bad, I miss using AdAway the most!

EDIT: just tried Framaroot 1.9.3 and don´t work for me, anyone of the three exploits

What I did:
1. Installed 4.2.2 ROW Version (also when I flashed it I put a custom recovery image TWRP 2.7)
2. After I flashed it I installed root and modem for 3G calls from custom recovery.
That's it, feel free to ask me any question!

I bought my S860 on eBay (Honk Kong), it has KitKat 4.4.2 already installed and all Google services on and working. Language only english and chinese. Also it haso no caller id in Europe (little annoying) so set OFF.
Point 2. will be interesting for me, how to root the phone (with build ver. VIBEUI_V1.5_1423_7_ST_S860 and baseband version S860.V102, 2014/04/15) and set caller ID to Europe?

I have this Chinese version too, I got it few weeks ago.
When I got it, it had Android 4.2.* and everything was OK.
Then I got the notification that there is a system update (over 700MB), and I updated it.
After the update I have KitKat 4.4.2, Baseband S860.V102, Build VIBEUI_V1.5_1423_7_ST_S860., there was no Google Play store and stuff, so I had to loose time to make Google services to work.
Now it works, but I have some problems with notifications from the apps. Sometimes I get notifications from Facebook messenger and other apps, but most times I don't get any notifications, except from the mail.
It is really annoying, and I can't find any solution.
I'm no expert for rooting and stuff, I previously used Nexus 4 with stock system, and I bought this phone because of 2 SIM slots and good battery life.
Do you have any suggestions for my problem?
Do you know if it is possible to, maybe, install Cyanogenmod on it, and would that solve the problems?

I'm seriously considering this phone, the P780 has more development, but is lacking the extra features this model provides.
I'm in Canada and would need the development to reflect ROW needs.

I also have 2gb ram 16gb S860 rom. I was looking for a related article about root, but no one ever discusses it. if there was even discussed in the jelly bean root instead kitkat.
My experience using framaroot and vroot not succeed in kitkat (2gb ram 16 rom).
I am also waiting for this type of developer for lenovo, considering this phone is a new entry in Indonesia. I come from Indonesia.

I think one of the specifications listed there, whether or not there is behind casing. because mine is not available microSD slot. there are only a miniUSB slot and audio jack 3.5, as well as slots for dual SIM
to my knowledge, ROW version is 2gb and 1gb CN. please correct if I'm wrong.

Did you root it while you were on jellybean or kitkat? After upgrading to kitkat neither vroot, nor framaroot are working. I tried with three different windows laptops.
Lenovo S860 2GB RAM = ROW
Lenovo S860 1GB RAM = CN/vibeui

I root it on kitkat with no problems using vroot.

ROOT a fake S6 ?!

Hello everyone,
I read several forums, so I installed cpu-z to know on what mtk my phonewas running. Strangely I was on Exynos Octa 7420. So I put my phone in download mode, and appeared a Chinese menu (that's how I know I have a fake s6).
So I would like to know, is there a way to install a recovery and a rom on a phone like this ?!
PS: model number is sm-g920l on lollipop 5.0.2

I think you can try kingroot because supports a lot of smartphones, and if the root method works then you can try follow this guide for switching to supersu

i think its just fake info keep in mind they still can trick apps to show fake info if you want to root it without knowing what are you doing it may end up dead forever

I found that it's a mtk mobile. But my version (mt6735) is unrootable ... Any idea why ?!

Why so you even have a fake device? How about returning it for a real one?

There are a few root methods for this chipset, you need to make sure the bootloader is unlocked though 1st before trying. I had a quick google for root methods and did see a few possible working ones.

This is firmware that saved me www . firmware1 . com /2016/10/mb709q5-a33-v33.html (without "spaces") but its only works with MB709Q5_A33 (it is eStar easy ips quad core mid7318) download both parts (u can download 1 part from 1 source, i used two laptops to download)
if you have the other model of tablet try to find using motherboard(you can find numbers like MB709Q5_A33 printed on the motherboard), not estar model.

i need your help: i bought the e-star 7.0" themed tablet Red C (that with a Disney Cars silicone case, Quad Core 1.3 GHz processor, Internal Memory Size 8GB) but at the start it stops at the first screen, where it says "e-star enjoy today - powered by android".
I tried with a total reset but I did not solve the problem. I think I need to reinstall the firmware with the pre-installed games, I'm looking for it, do you have the link where can I find it?

Find the model number of the device, no one can help without that number. We help, but we don't do the work for you, do some Google searching to learn what the model number for your device is, then come here and post the model number. We don't mind helping, but we aren't going to spoonfeed you and do all the searching and thinking for you. If you can't do something as simple as finding out what the model number is, then how do you expect to be able to do something more complicated such as fixing your device?

I already did a search using that number, it doesn't find anything even close to your device.
To be honest, you probably won't find the firmware for that device. The manufacturers of cheap, off-brand devices, usually don't offer software support for their devices.
You will probably have to go to Needrom .com and then try to find a firmware for a similar device with the EXACT SAME hardware. If they are close enough to the same thing, you can probably use that firmware. Members there might help you find the firmware you need.
You'll probably have to actually open the device to find the numbers on the motherboard in order to try finding a compatible firmware. You're looking for firmware for a device with the exact same motherboard series/number.

hi, just for info,mybe it will help someone: Allview Viva C701 is MB709Q5_A33 v1.2, also known as iget smart s70, and stock rom+drivers+tools is available on official support page (could not post url, search czech official prod.support page on iget.eu) Tested right now and it works ("upgraded" previously bricked c701, android 5.1).
