backup your data on the sd card to your pc and format it and if it still shows the problem then your sd card is dead

No, it is not :silly:
I've tried 2 different sd cards (16 GB and 32 GB), different brands, and they are recognized by every pc I use, the problem is on the phone side. Maybe the mod to swap internal and external SD cards... or some kind of rom bug.
Or you could flash the alpha 3 which has been released....maybe it was a bug specific to alpha 2?

I have a Micromax Funbook p300 tablet with cyanogen mod (jb-4.1.1). I tried to format one of my internal sd card (one of 2+2 gb) through my tab.
It now shows "damaged sd card try reformatting it".
Tried everything, from reformatting, flashing new rom to partitioning as discussed out there in forums.
Nothing has worked.
Please help.
Have you tried formatting it on a PC?

Guys i'm using the device from 6 months and have never encountered this problem. I have a sandisk 32GB class 10 external sd card(Which seems to be the common case for many others) which i've been using with the phone since the first day. I am on official jelly bean v1.10 rooted. I'm encountering this problem very frequently since two days. So i flashed the rom with sp tools, formatted the memory card done everything but couldn't solve this issue. Can anyone help me?
i think your memory card is having some issues .. or put sd card in your device go to settings - storage - scroll down - click on unmount external sd card - reboot your device .. your problem will be solved hit thanks if i helped

All of a sudden my sd card stopped detecting. It is not getting detected in Android and CWM Recovery. I even tried installing stock JB again, but it is still not getting recognized, but the sd card recognized when connected to pc (no through phone but through card reader), even tried different sd cards same result.
Please help
I think your sd card is not getting mounted on the phone..

Try full re formatting
and make sure it is in "FAT32" File System
and like other friend said tray might have been damaged .. so try with different sd cards
if nothing works take it to the service centre
Hello guys! I have a huge problem! Every time I insert a sdcard on my 4.4.2 KitKat tablet it stuck and then after a minute it reboots...... Does anyone know how to fix this?
Are you rooted.
Or the sd card is of more size than what ypur debice can support.
If you are rooted then what last thing you did before that **** happened
i can do any thing except damaging your device. GOD DOES NOT DO THAT
It sounds like a hardware problem, try another sd card and see if you get the same result.

The device detects the sd card insertion so sd card is correct. But its a software problem
It looks like that to me
