Ok, firstly I'm newbie here
I have this Samsung GT-S6310 2 weeks ago.
I idly tried to upgrade my firmware to JB GNU ROM
First I install CWM via Odin (of course after installing the samsung drivers)
I turn on the phone with fastboot mode (Vol (-) + Home + Power)
After I tried to install CWM in Odin, there's description "FAIL"
(Checked Auto Reboot+F. Reset Time, nothing else)
I tried for a second time, remains the same
In fact, written in fastboot:
"CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES (2 COUNTS)
Since then, my phone is not detected on my PC.
(Problems about Samsung Mobile USB CDC ..... Error Code: 10)
Several times I installed samsung drivers on my PC, it still does not connect the phone to PC. (To the other
Any solution? Everytime I turn on my phone, it's booting to Fastboot again, again and again.
Tired searching for 5 days and got nothing.

Hi everyone,
I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy following the guide from xda developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056334).
I forgot to enable the USB debugging mode on the device (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging)
I started ODIN, then my device rebooted. I started SuperOneClick and I received a message saying "device not found".
Then I went to check the guide, and I saw that I forgot to enable the USB debugging mode on the device (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging).
Can anyone help me to fix this?
I'm from Portugal. If I wrote anything wrong sorry for my mistake and for any inconvenience.
Thank you for any help.
Not sure if you're just having problems with Odin recognizing your phone or not but the basics are to ensure you have the phones drivers installed and enable usb debugging. Afterwards you make sure your phone gets recognized fully from your computer once plugging it in. If so you start Odin AND THEN plug in your phone with the directions for getting to download mode (removing battery and holding volume button etc) and in Odin it should show a connection on a com port tile. Then you load up your files and send them. If anything I am sure you just may have a problem by not being in download mode?

I have the latest drivers from my cell phone operator. I can only have access to Kies on my pc (but now, kies doesn't recognize any device plugged to the pc), my phone don't let me gain access to the menu and to any application.
Get into download mode and go into keis and start a firmware upgrade and initialization. (you will need model number and serial number behind the battery) and go through the process it tells u to. Then you will be back to stock, then try to root from there the proper way.

You could find a stock ROM first (depends on where you bought your phone / country, provider) and flash through Odin. Unplug your phone from your PC > task manager > kill all KIES apps > turn on your phone into download mode > open ODIN > connect phone to PC
Then ODIN should show your phone is connected with a yellow box, depending on what ROM you downloaded you put the needed file in the PDA box (file with the name such as I9100XWLP7_I9100XXLPS_I9100XENLP3_HOME.tar.md5), click START and wait until that box goes from yellow to green. Phone should reboot now. If it gets stuck, get into the recovery mode (Vol UP + home + power) and wipe everything.

Hi experts,
after i've bought my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5100) i tried to root it with no success and now i have the following problem.
For rooting i followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657056.
I was able to follow the steps including 3 and Odin was showing a green box.
After disconnecting i wasn't able to boot into CWM.
My actual problem is that i can't start my Tab when it is powered off, when i try that the "Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 10.1" logo appears and nothing more is happening. I also can't enter the download mode.
The only way i can start the Tab is to connect it with the USB / charging cable, turn the device off, wait for the battery symbol to appear and turn the Tab back on...then it will start, but only with the cable connected.
Once the device is started i can use it normally until i have to turn it off again.
I've tried to reset to factory defaults but during this process the Tab restarts and hangs at the "Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 10.1" logo again.
Now i would like to flash Stock ROM from SAMMobile but i don't know how to do that without entering the download mode.
Can anyone help me and/or point me in the right direction?

1. You should used Odin version 3.07: Download
2. When booting with the help of USB...Do you have root? If so You can use Mobile Odin Pro (Google for it)
(when using Mobile Odin Pro You can root it along with the flashing of firmware from internal / external SD - Ever Root option....)
3. Maybe this will help - follow exactly:
a. Install Odin 3.0.7 (it is understandable, that you have Samsung drivers already installed)
b. Prepare stock firmware xxxxx.tar.md5 file
c. Launch Odin with right click "Run as Admin" !
d. Use factory provided USB cable for direct connection (not over any hub)
e.Turn the Tab off (before that check that You have USB debugging switched on in Settings / Developer Options)
f. Connect the "switched off" Tab to computer
g. Drop firmware file to PDA section
h. The tab should automatically turn on after couple of seconds....
Any luck?

Hey Gregzi,
i wasn't able to perform your steps exactly but it helped a lot.
I've set my Tab to download mode with adb tools command "adb reboot download", after that i was able to flash the stock ROM with Odin as usual.
thanks a lot!
Glad that your gadget came to life....
I would suggest you to use TWRP over CWM, simply better: TeamWin:good:
Hi, I am having the same problem as the op, but I did not try to flash/root anything. I just arrived from a travel, and it look like when my tablet was on my bag the things near it pressed some weird combination of buttons, and now it does not turn on, nor my laptop recognize it. I just get a notification of omap4430 could not be installed.
So I understand that I need to turn-off my tablet before trying to enter the restore menu (power + volume up). But I dont know when my tablet is turned off, because I can not see a thing on the screen at all. I am trying to press the power button for 30 secs, and then I am trying to press the combination of button, but nothing happens. What I need to do? Do I keep trying doing the same??
thanks in advance.
Hi there,
I've read every kind of threads here and no one works for me. I rooted my Samsung GT-I9000 and all worked well, then the phone started acting crazy, my root was gone and when I boot the phone I come to the usual screen where you enter pincode but after that the popup screens start, multiple popups saying that twlauncher crashed, media, acore etc.. so I cant get to the screen where I can enable usb debugging. I can enter the stock recovery and my PC can contact the phone, but when I press vol down + home + power so I get the download mode the PC cant find the phone, not in win7 or in Linux. I have tried every kind of driver there is for Samsung but no one works that make it possible for the PC to find the phone when it is in download mode, win7 list it under "unknown device" and NO driver at ALL works so win7 can reqonize the phone. I've tried installing Kies how many times I dont know and uninstalling, updated SDK, uninstalled every USB driver and even the hubs and installed them again, updated win7.. what can I do to flash the phone!?!? Because Odin, no matter old from new; cant find the phone in DL mode, same with linux. And in stock recovery, I wiped cache and data but the problem is still there when I enter the OS after enter my pin...
How can I flash my phone without PC finding the phone in DL mode and no USB debugging enabled? Or how to flash CWM so I can flash a ROM from SD? Please help!!
At first try another PC with Winsows or use another USB cable.
About recavery-try to find temperery recovery or cwm, that flash from recovery.

As I wrote, my desktop is under Linux and the laptop under Win7 and none can reach the phone, both computers can only detect the phone in Recovery mode, but the laptop under Win7 only detect the phone as offline, Linux on the other hand can reboot phone into recovery from recovery, to download mode and reboot normal. Already tried to use Ubuntu 13 Live and it cant detect the phone in DL mode either. And tried different cables also. And if I find a recovery or CWM, then what? Dont I need to get phone into DL mode to flash something?
But in Linux I've got a small breakthrough, Heimdall can detect the phone know, but fails to flsah anything. Maybe wrong files or something..? But anyhow, if Heimdall now can detect the phone and it couldnt before; know I just need the right files to flash.
Just find a friend who owns Windows desktop/ laptop, download stock from Sammobile, flash stock via Odin. If not, try Odin mobile...
Hi Everyone ^^
I sort of got my Samsung Galaxy GT-S5660 bricked without being able to find a fix for it..
I've followed an installation Guide to the letter, yet i now find my Phone stuck on all sides
Been searching and reading XDA & Google, thus-far without any fix in sight :x
Setup:
- I'm running a Windows 8 PC, updated & running properly, all Drivers Installed
- Before all of this, the Phone worked properly on default ROM, un-tampered with, PC could connect and transfer files to the Phone while it was running. Didn't try the download mode until after brick.
Used this XDA Thread to first root the Phone, using Recovery Mode to install the zip from SD: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111414
Then followed this Guide to the Letter to install the CM10.1, also installing it using Recovery Mode, installing the zip from SD: http://www.android.gs/update-galaxy-gio-android-4-2-2-jb-cm10-1/
Thats where the fun ended ... it rebooted and ... nothing :x
Resulted into this situation:
- Normal Boot (Pwr-Btn): The Phone wont boot, it first loads a static Samsung logo, then after a bit shows the ''GALAXY Gio GT-S5660" logo and just permanently holds on that
- Boot into Recovery Mode (Home-Btn + Pwr-Btn): No longer works, Instead of going into old Recovery Mode or CWM Recovery mode, it just displays the static Samsung logo for a looong time, then reboots into "Normal Boot" described above. So no more installing from SD Card ... No more Recovery Mode
- Boot into Download Mode (Vol-Down + Home-Btn + Pwr-Btn): No problem, displays the yellow "Downloading..." mid-screen. Problem is, PC's keep telling me "USB Device is not Recognized".. Any USB-Cable, any PC, none recognize the device. Tried every driver i could find, trying and retrying, the Samsung Kies Drivers and app as well, every version of it. Still, i can not get a PC to recognize the device in Download Mode, so Odin doesn't find it either.
- Boot into Emergency Download Mode (Vol-Up + Vol-Down + Home-Btn + Pwr-Btn): PC recognizes the device, Odin detects it aswel, i can do the Odin setup i found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20896513&postcount=2 , and Odin verifies all files correctly, detects the device on the COM Port, all seems well. When pressing the Start button in Odin it starts out fine, displays the log saying "Download Start..., etc", but it stops at "<1> setup connection...", and there it stays ...
Been trying to find an XDA-Thread or Google solution for this scenario but i'm coming up empty, thus i come here to post the problem ...
Nutshell:
- Phone wont Boot into Android OS, simply won't boot ..
- I can't boot into Recovery Mode to load from SD, simply no more Recovery Mode
- Can boot into Download Mode, but all PC's seem to throw up a "USB Device not Recognized" error, no matter the USB-Cable, thus Odin does not detect the Device
- Can boot into Emergency Download Mode, but Odin doesn't seem to want to install in this manner and halts at setting up the connection...
= What am i to Do????
Please Help! ^^
- Is there some magical driver that will result in the Device Being recognized while it's in Download Mode?
- Is there something i can use or do to install a CWM using Emergency Download Mode or SOMETHING? (Maybe get Recovery Mode working again, or have Odin work with Emergency Download Mode)
Thanks for your time,
Kind Regards!

Try with heimdall, an alternative to Odin : http://glassechidna.com.au/heimdall/ . For the emergency download mode, you won't be able to do anything with it. And make sure you have the samsung usb drivers : http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117
Tried, same result
Dear TheIcE65,
Thank you for your quick response.
I've tried the USB Drivers you supplied, clean install
Unfortunately these drivers result in the same problem. While the Phone is in Download Mode, once connected windows still throws up a "USB Device not Recognized" error.
Heimdall also does not recognize the device, as Windows doesn't either.
Please help, I'd like to get this Phone un-bricked!
Kind regards

There is nothing to worry.
It is easy to solve this.
Just download Odin in your pc.
Download the official firmware if your device here.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-P5100/
Now open Odin In pc
Connect your device to the pc .
Now in the app under PDA browse for the firmware you have downloaded and click start.
Wait till it says pass.
That's it you have successfully solved your problem.
Now it will take some time to boot.
In case you feel that you are in a bootloop just go to recovery and perform a factory reset .
Odin download http://odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.10.6.zip

Greetings;
I don't know if you already entered Download Mode...
Most problems accessing Recovery and Download Modes are due to having the USB Cable connected.
Remove the cable; press the key combination; and it will boot.
(Except if there's some incompatible ROM flashed by mistake).
After that plug the USB Cable again (if your USB Drivers have also installed for Download Mode) Odin will recognize it (like shown in your Screen Shot).
REMEMBER:
While Flashing do NOT Remove USB Cable, untill Odin Displays "Pass" message.
Further issues: Let us know. We're would be Glad to help.
