Instructions :
1. Download a bootanimation what you want
2. Rename it to ‘bootanimation.zip’
3. Open a Rom which you want to use.
4. Go to system/media
5. Replace your downloaded bootanimation with stock bootanimation
6. Flash the Rom!!
Or,
1. Downlaod a bootanimation what you want
2. Rename it to ‘bootanimation.zip’
3. Open Root Explorer
4. Go to System/media, set premission 'r/w'
5. Replace your downloaded bootanimation with stock bootanimation
6. Reboot!!

I created TWO alternative bootanimations for our lovely AOKP-SGT7 ICS ROM.
Check it out, I hope you like it.
BOOTANIMATION 1:
Added CWM Flashable zip file (10/07/2012)
to go along with the ROM name change (18/06/2012).

A simpler version of bootanimation for AOKP SGT7

2 Methods to change your bootanimation:
Method 1:
you will need root access and Root Explorer.
1. Choose one of the bootanimations on post#1 and download to your device.
2. Change the filename of the .zip file you downloaded to bootanimation.zip
3. Using Root Explorer, Go to /system/media, change permission from R/O to R/W
4. Place the new bootanimation.zip in the folder replacing the original one.
Method 2:
1. Choose and download one of the two CWM Flashable zip file on post#2
2. Reboot to CWM recovery mode.
3. Flash the zip file.
Note: Please don't forget to back up your old bootanimation just in case you don't like what you downloaded.

2. Reboot to CWM Recovery.
3. Install from sdcard the zip file downloaded.
4. Once done, reboot.

I'm now in AOKP. I like this ROM, but the bootanimation is just too unicorny.

Hey AOKP-SGT7 fans,
Another version of bootanimation to choose from. Tthe latest one (AOKP2bootaimation) is a simple bootanimation. An android with stimpz0r's avatar on the chest walking toward the screen and stop in the middle of the screen with AOKP SGT7 appears below it. -- With a Carbon-fiber background.

Hi Guys,
Here I am presenting my first custom bootanimation !!
How to add the custom bootanimation:
First thing it is not flashable bootanimation.
Note: Your phone should be rooted to perform the below steps. You also need to have Root Explorer or ES File Explorer or similar one. My favorite is Fx File Explorer.
1. Take a backup of your bootanimation (/system/media/bootanimation.zip) and boootaudio, if you have any (/system/media/bootaudio.mp3) if needed
2. Download the attached files (see downloads section; boot animation and boot audio)
3. Replace your bootanimation.zip with the downloaded one.
4. Replace the bootaudio.mp3 with the downloaded one
5. Reboot the phone and enjoy the new bootanimation

1. Let me know if you can't access the download links

Not booting
I installed MIUI in my phone (Lenovo a680) using ROM Manager. After booting my phone it didn't open again. It's been a day. Your response is much appreciated.
