Hi guys!
I was wondering if there was any way I could make the wallpaper on the App Drawer scrollable, like it is scrollable in the Home Screen.
I looked far and wide and I couldn't even find a thread which mentioned this topic.
Basically I want different backgrounds for every page on the drawer.
Is this possible?

Hi, I recently became infatuated with the winphone7 layout for android found in this subforum but realized that horizontal scrolling isn't that sexy....or fluid.
I've been looking for a launcher that scrolls up and down...vertically but only found Zune Home.
Anyone know of a launcher that will do this?
Thanks in advance for the help/suggestions.
aw launcher has an option
So does LauncherPro.
Obviously OP means launcher, not drawer..
Yes, the launcher please

The problem I see, I have many widgets that scroll vertically, how would I then scroll the homescreen and not the widget?

True..I haven't seen any launchers..
But it's nothing a little ingenuity couldn't solve, implementing some multi touch gestures should solve that problem. I think lol.
But it appears I'm on a wild goose hunt.
I have to learn android coding >_
Hey guys, I am searching for a clock widget. It has to be a clock that has moving, exposed gears that actually rotate. I believe the style is called tourbillon.
I searched the market and searched for downloadable .apk's but I have found nothing for what I am looking for.
There is an app in the market that looks like the clock I want, but it doesn't have moving gears. Here's a picture of what i'm looking for, and a market link for the one that doesn't work, so you have a good Idea of what i'm looking for.

Here is a market link to a clock I found that has moving gears, but it is super slow, really choppy, and is a live wallpaper, not a widget.

Thanks for the help guys!
Android does not support animation on the desktop.(unless a home manager does)
Unless you fake the animation, which means refreshing the widget and wasting battery.

By home manager, do you mean something such as LauncherPro, ADWLauncher or something like that? I am using launcher pro at the moment. At this point I would be ok with the clock being a live wallpaper, so long as it is smooth and fluid.

The Sense clock widget of HTC phones have an animation. And the clock of Regina Launcher too.

Yeah I second that. I had analog clock with an animated second hand at one point. Obviously it is possible to have animated Widgets.

Has anyone made a clock like this yet?
It is possible to use animation in a widget, see my clock for instance, which does not consume battery power at all.

I love that wallpaper, know where I can get it or can you share?
Also how did you get Andy on the board for the lock screen?

I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread on this already!
I posted this in another thread, but mine looks like this. Not terribly interesting apart from the Widget.
For anyone that is interested, I'm using ADW Launcher, the Widget is a Beautiful Widget with an opacity setting of 30% I think. I also hide the icon labels, as it makes it a lot cleaner! I set the Columns to 7 and the Rows to 6 to get as many icons on the screen as I could without it looking too crowded.
The widgets used are as follows:
Widget Type: Beautiful SuperClock 4x3 (Tablet) - I stretched it out so it fits the screen better
Super Clock Skin: honeyclock
Weather Skin: FlatWhite
What are you using for screen cap?

I'm using the Dalvik Debug Monitoring Service (ddms.bat) in the tools directory of the Android SDK install. You must also have the correct drivers installed, which if you've rooted your KF, you should already have.
Once it's detected and connected to your device, you can go to Device > Screen Capture.

what launcher are you using?
I downloaded an app called ScreenshotUX, something like that. There used to be a bunch of screenshot apps in the market, what happened? Are they getting the boot from Google or something?

just went in to the file structure and replaced the image with my own. the wallpaper is from a poster who put up some alternate wallpapers to use instead of the defaults. i just pasted it 21 times in a folder and renamed them to the default names, so it never changes. in reality it's changing every time, it changes to the same pic each time. here's the pic. cant remember the link where i got it.

noticed you have the same weather widget bug, also happens to the pandora widget. something causes it to stretch like that, returns to normal after reset. you know what causes it and if there's a fix?
This is my homescreen as of now.
I really liked the wood bookshelf style of the kindle, so I decided to make wallpapers that would give that same look to other launchers (I'm using ADW).
I also attached a zipped folder with them, hope you guys enjoy.
Comments are always appreciated

Here you go.
mclock, fancy widgets, and stock wallpapers
Probably a stupid question but you guys that are using different launchers (which in this thread is everyone it seems lol) are you rooted or not? I'm going to side-install a few launchers and had no plans on rooting at this point BUT if it helps the alternate launchers work better I mine as well. Thanks for input and again, sorry if it's a dumb questions.
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say most of us are rooted simply because a lot of ppl seem to have several apps only found on the Android market. Of course you can sideload them without the market, but I think that instead of going through all that trouble most ppl have just rooted and installed the market (especially since it's so easy to do and also allows you to take screenshots).

Hi guys,
I once saw a screenshot floating around this forum where the user had set up their home screen to look like the icons were sitting on shelves in a room. There was a light bulb hanging from the ceiling, and it was pretty awesome--looked just like a room. Unfortunately, I can't find the screenshot anymore, so I was wondering if you guys could point out anything helpful I could use to recreate the look.
For reference, currently running CM7 with ADW.
Thanks!!!

Well if you can't find the screenshot or the thread it was in, it looks like you're on your own to re-create the wallpaper. It wasn't a theme but more or less someone with a wallpaper that fit perfectly with the grid of ADW's background. The best thing to do now would be to find a shelf picture and resize the picture until the shelves match up with the rows of the ADW launcher. It's pretty much a trial and error type deal.
id start off by making a wallpaper of just a grid. then applying it to ur phones background and take a screenie of that. use it as your point of reference when creating the shelf background.
There are some psd's I saw floating around with shelves built in them, but unfortunately I don't have the link. You could Google Just reveal android and you might find something there

If you search Google images, there are tons of wallpapers under android shelf wallpaper. No need to create your own on this one. You might try these two links, they looked interesting to me...
