I recently found that my tablet, which does not support OTA updates, has a stock 4.4.2 ROM available for download. The only problem is that I'm not entirely sure on how to actually flash a new ROM to my device. From my understanding I do not need to unlock my bootloader to flash a stock ROM (correct me if I'm wrong), but I'm not sure what to do beyond that. If it helps my tablet is a Ceros Revolution with a Rockchip RK3188 quad core processor, and isn't rooted. Also, will it delete my data off the tablet? Thanks in advance!

The problem is that I'm pretty sure I'm one of the only owners of this tablet, there is almost nothing for it anywhere on the internet.

I just did some digging around on Google and I didn't see any development information regarding that handset. The trouble with the low-end phones/legacy devices/no-name brands is they don't see the mainstream and most developers don't even notice or care that they are there.
I've been doing some research to buy one of these cheap dual core dual sim phones. This has an MT6577 chipset and if I'm not mistaken there are quite a number of MT6577 phones which have been rooted. So I would imagine that this can be rooted, its just that there isn't any great interest surrounding it yet.
I just bought this device and looked all over but couldn't find a way to root it and to get things worse i live in brazil and this phone was not set to the brazilian phone numbers format.

This may be a begining. Do you know any ICS dual sim MT6577 that have been successfully rooted?

Hi all,
I have just got a Cubot S600 to try out Android as I have always been a Windows Mobile user.
The phone comes with 5.1 out the box, would it be possible to flash it with 6.0?
Many thanks in advance.

Official update of marshmallow is not released yet for your phone. You can check for updates in your phones settings if you want.cubot hasn't released list of phones to receive the updates either.
You can flash unofficial android 6 custom ROM if it is available
Look it up

Thanks for the reply, I understand that marshmallow is not available.
When I was cooking my own winmo6.5 ROMs I had to only have certain ROMs. I have been out the game a while, would any ROM work, or would I need specific roms ?

Hello everyone,
I read several forums, so I installed cpu-z to know on what mtk my phonewas running. Strangely I was on Exynos Octa 7420. So I put my phone in download mode, and appeared a Chinese menu (that's how I know I have a fake s6).
So I would like to know, is there a way to install a recovery and a rom on a phone like this ?!
PS: model number is sm-g920l on lollipop 5.0.2
I think you can try kingroot because supports a lot of smartphones, and if the root method works then you can try follow this guide for switching to supersu

i think its just fake info keep in mind they still can trick apps to show fake info if you want to root it without knowing what are you doing it may end up dead forever
I found that it's a mtk mobile. But my version (mt6735) is unrootable ... Any idea why ?!
Why so you even have a fake device? How about returning it for a real one?

There are a few root methods for this chipset, you need to make sure the bootloader is unlocked though 1st before trying. I had a quick google for root methods and did see a few possible working ones.

There is not a stock firmware available for that specific device, faked devices don't have any software support. You're chasing a ghost.
The best you can hope for is a firmware that is "close" to what you need and even if you install it, there will probably be features and functions that won't work without modifying the firmware to make it completely compatible with the device.
Personally, I suggest they forget about that device and get a non-faked device, they'll be better off that way.
I don't understand why anyone would waste their money on fake devices and then think they can do the things with it that can be done with brand named devices.
It's like intentinally and knowingly spending money to have your face stomped into the dirt.
I would think that the average person is smarter than that, but I guess not.

Hello, there actually is. That you can't do the same features you can install ok phones like samsung, that i know. But there is a stock flashrom, there is for all such phones, i just need someone who can export it (if they have the same model) so i can flash it back on.

If your device has a stock firmware that is available to the public, then why haven't you downloaded it and flashed it? I'll tell you why, because it doesn't exist, that is why.
So, I say again....
No, that is not true at all. Not all devices have a stock firmware that is available to the public. This is especially true for cloned/faked devices. I've never seen a cloned device that has a firmware that is available to be downloaded and flashed. Everyone I've ever seen here with a cloned/fake device that needed a stock firmware has had to find firmware from a different device that is close to the same thing as the device they had and then modify the firmware to work on their device, some never find anything that works.
Sure, parts of the stock ROM can be dumped from the device if it is rooted, but, that won't give you the entire firmware from the device, there are parts that can't be dumped.
I don't think you understand what is going on as well as you think you do.
I searched for the firmware for you. I found a lot of devices with P31 in the name, some of them have a firmware that is available, but none of them were the device you have. I did not find anything that you can use.
See what I mean? Cloned devices have absolutely no software support of any kind. The people that make these devices don't care about supporting their product or supporting the customer, all they care about is making the devices and selling them to whatever fool will buy them.
When you buy a fake device, you take your chances and you better hope nothing goes wrong because you're pretty much screwed if it does.

Hello everybody,
My 10 year old daughter got a tablet bought on AliExpress as a gift.
When I turn it on, the Mediatek screen appears in boot.
The model is a TAB910 with the Chipset: MT6797.
I put you the report created by DROID INFO in PDF format.
My question: is there a custom rom for this tablet?
Because it is noted android 9 but in reality it is android 4.4 with SDK 19.
I don't know if it is rooted.
Thank you for your reply.
Regards
Christophe
Return the tablet to AliExpress and request refund of purchase price because you have been cheated.
